Greencross Vets Toowoomba

Fantastic experience: we took a found dog to Greencross last night to get him checked for a microchip. the staff there were SO helpful and kind and so lovely to the big lost pup. we eventually found the owner but we were so grateful for the help we received from Greencross Vets ♡ thank you!!

Fantastic experience: We went into the Green Cross vet at Kearneys Spring (South Toowoomba) thinking one of our labs had damaged a tooth while we were travelling. Luckily it turned out to just be a piece of bedding she had stuck between her teeth making it look aweful. The vet had it out in the blink of an eye and very generously only charged us for a nurse consult as it had been so quick and easy. While we were there the lovely staff were busy trying to reunite a lost dog with it's owner and taking care of several other clients. You could see they took great care of everyone who came in. Super friendly - if we lived here we'd be back!!

Fantastic experience: The team at south toowoomba Green Cross Vets have gone above and beyond for our bullmastiff Spud. He has landed himself in more trouble than any dog his age ought to. They have always been amazingly accomodating, with emergency appointments, even finding appointments at other vets for us when they couldn't accommodate a visit. Spud was very unwell for the last 2 weeks with a severe case of panosteitis and I honestly don't know how we would have stayed sane without the support from the team here. Cannot speak highly enough of this team. Despite near daily visits and rectal thermometers Spud is always excited to charge through the doors and see his vets and the nurses. The vets we have met (Amanda, Georgia, and Rebecca) have been exceptional and truly holistic. Never rushed, taking the time to hear all of our concerns and taking each and every one into consideration. They have even checked up on us between appointments. We are so fortunate to have these guys so close to us, and to have the healthy pets plus subscription. Which we have definitely got more than our moneys worth from :(. I am not usually one to leave reviews, but I honestly can't think of a service that I have been more grateful for, or one more deserving of praise. She is an exceptional vet with an incredible depth of knowledge and a genuine, compassionate approach to the care she provides. We trust her completely and would not take our dog anywhere else. We are especially grateful for the care she provided after our dog was attacked and required surgery, as well as the thorough and attentive follow-up care she gave during recovery. Dr Kara always takes the time to explain things clearly and makes us feel confident and supported in every decision. We feel incredibly lucky to have such a skilled and compassionate vet.

With four dogs who absolutely dislike car travel, this felt almost impossible. FlightCharter provided the perfect solution. In just 2.5 hours, our entire family was safely relocated. Every aspect of FlightCharter’s operation was exceptional. From the planning stage through to the conclusion. The flight itself was magnificent, and we even brought our vet, Dr Kara Brooker along to ensure our dogs were comfortable. Kara Brooker is not only an exceptional vet but also an extraordinary human being. We respect and trust her immensely. Her assistance was invaluable—when one of our dogs required heavy sedation due to anxiety, Kara instilled calmness and peace, easing both our dog’s distress and our own. Without the option of a private charter flight and Kara’s support, we truly believe our dog would not have survived the relocation. We are deeply grateful for Kara’s dedication and FlightCharter’s professionalism. Together, they transformed what could have been a stressful ordeal into a seamless, safe, and positive experience. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: We have been taking our pets to Kara at Greencross South Toowoomba for more than 10 years. The practice staff have always been friendly and helpful. Kara and the other vets there have given our pets exemplary care I’m confident to take my fur babies there. We have had 2 elderly pets euthanised and that was managed with kindness and respect. It is hard to let a pet cross the rainbow bridge and both our departing pets and us found great compassion. It’s evident and appreciated that Kara and the team really care about our pets. We were so lucky to come across Greencross South Toowoomba in the first week we moved as one of our pugs needed some attention. All of the staff over the years and especially Dr Kara has been AMAZING! Nothing was ever too much trouble, their level of care and attention to detail was always 100%. We will be very sorry to leave the services of Dr Kara. The best vet in Toowoomba hands down!!!!!

Fantastic experience: love the care you guys show with my babies

Negative experience: We have been with healthy pets plus since we adopted Teddy 9 years ago. Never had any major health issues when we went to Brisbane Greencross kippering. Our beautiful boy passed away this morning with a lung mass that Greencross South Toowoomba did not look into after many attempts of me showing them videos of his breathing issues. Instead they lied and said that his blood tests showered pancreatitis which was a lie as an ultrasound and bloods at Redvets showed he had an enlarged gallbladder and he was struggling to breath. I rushed him to the emergency vets in Friday after weeks of being ignored fobbed off and abused by their senior vet Cara. They made him indure unnecessary procedures lied about pancreatitis to make money. I send so many emails and they ignored me. It’s an absolute disgrace don’t make the mistake of trusting this practice with your family member that only care about money. And if you show concern they will be aggressive towards you and not help. I will be taking this further as they have breached their duty of care and neglected our poor sick boy Teddy.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Greencross South Toowoomba Vet for about 7 years and always had a good experience. Recently my dog needed extra care after routine surgery, and Kara and her team went above and beyond. They worked overtime and even on weekends to make sure my dog recovered well. I was so impressed with the level of care and compassion – I’d happily recommend this clinic to anyone wanting a friendly, dedicated vet team.

Negative experience: My 15 year 8 month old dog was put on end of lfe care with prednisone I had agreed to a needle aspiration which was well over $200 I then declined spending another $1300 on a biopsy I asked if I could get a letter for council which because I would not spend more money on testing was declined after I had moved vets and greencross South had been contacted about He lost his battle with Lymphoma on Wednesday 18th June with a detached retina which is all indicates that he did have cancer Today Monday 23rd of June I am contacted to notify me that head office would not approve the letter The vet was fine it's the big box approach that is disturbing I had never had to take my dogs to the vet other than vaccine and I will never attend another greencross vet again

Negative experience: With a heavy heart I must comment on the absolute bad manners of the front staff we experienced today and our last visit to see the lovely Amanda .we have no complaints with her sad to say as we were 3mins late according to woman on the desk we have to make another appointment on an other day. Usually you sit and wait for some time to see the vet. We were not in a rush for an appointment and would have been happy to have one at a time that suited everyone. Notgrab the cat straight away and come down which we did .The first crappy experience was after ordering medication which is on going and waiting 2 weeks to hear from them or company and having run out of medication called in to vet at Stenner st to check how much longer this would take was told by very rude front staff that the vets were too busy to place a phone order for our medication and they would get around to it when they have time.I am not sure if the vets are aware of what goes on out the front. We have been bringing our car here for 18 years and have never come across such a rude and disrespectful person . I really don't want to have to find another vet as we love our vet here. But it does worry me as we have a very old cat and what happens it we need a vet in an emergency.

Fantastic experience: Last weekend, while attending the Carnival of Flowers, our Labradoodle was attacked by a much larger dog in Queens Park. Being visitors to Toowoomba, we were understandably distressed and unfamiliar with local veterinary services. Thankfully, fate led us to the incredible Krissy, who was off duty but nearby. Krissy and her family went above and beyond, quickly packing up to drive us to the clinic. Upon arrival, Krissy was there to support us every step of the way, ensuring we felt calm and reassured until our dog was taken into surgery. Her genuine kindness and dedication spoke volumes about her character, and we are truly grateful for her support. Once at the clinic, Dr. Katrin took over, and we felt a sense of relief knowing our boy was in capable hands. She did everything possible to aid in his recovery, and we deeply appreciate her expertise and compassion. The entire staff at Greencross Toowoomba were fantastic—helpful, informative, and incredibly caring. Their support made a world of difference to us. Almost a week post-surgery, our boy is on the road to recovery. Our local vet has praised the excellent care he received from the Greencross Toowoomba team. Thank you so much, Krissy, Dr Katrin and the entire Greencross Toowoomba staff! You are all heroes in our eyes - we can't recommend this clinic highly enough!

Fantastic experience: Very caring vet, even recommended another vet due to tick vaccine shortage to safe my cat. Good news, it was no tick, and I went to Greencross vet with just a 1 hour notice for appointment. Another time bought a soft collar and was not overcharged, under $8. Great advise from vet as I was going to get a hard plastic collar which is very uncomfortable. Thank you for your care

I could not be happier with our experience, and all staff were so helpful, welcoming and caring towards myself,and especially to my dog Abbi. This is now our Vets for the future. Negative experience: We were booked in at their Ramsay st they refused to see us, not sure why as the other clinic said they had vacancies so we get discriminated against. Not only that but the Kearney street clinic wouldn’t let out four year old child use their bathroom. Never going back.

Fantastic experience: Took my two cats to Greencross Vets Kearney Spring for the first time. They are usually nervous wrecks when they meet strangers, but they were both confident when the Vet handled them so that they didn't get stressed. The vet and staff also assisted me to carry their large cage into the Vet clinic from the car and back to the car again when finished.

Vet Kara is always so welcoming, my dog loves her, which makes it easier to get him through the door. He recently has 4 teeth out and the care given was exceptional. Everything explained to me including after care. Quote given prior was adhered to and no surprises. Made budgeting for the procedure easier. Best decision I ever made.

Negative experience: Avoid if you have a brachycephalic breed!! Gave both my pets an immunisation that caused sever complications leading to one being hospitalised. Spoke to breeders around Australia and all have said do not give them that type of immunisation. Vet should know better! Very annoyed that they did not advise me of the risks before doing it!!

Fantastic experience: Always an amazing experience with Greencross. Admin are always super lovely and accommodating, as well as all the Vet staff there as well. Also the offering of Healthy Pets Plus has been a life saver. 100% recommend taking your pets there :)
