Fantastic experience: I would love to extend my gratitude to Highfields Vet Surgery, especially Alex who dealt with our girl Winnie with so much care and love until her last breath. Could not recommend these guys more. Thank you guys so much.

Fantastic experience: I took my new rescue dog to the Highfields Vet, because thats where the previous owner he had gotten her chipped. And I'm so glad i did. The staff were all friendly and kind, and the veterinarian listened to my concerns, and actually knew what he was doing. All in all, I couldn't be happier. Oh, and they charged far less than another franchise clinic I take my other dog to. I'll be seeing if I can transfer him there.

Negative experience: With respect to the medical practice the work the clinic does is great. However i had a very disappointing experience 3 years ago with my very nervious rottie and have not been back to the practice because of it. My dog was trained to bark or growl at the gate to be let out to go to the toilet. I had informed the practice of this . I had rang through the day and was told everything was fine. However she had pooed in her cage and on her lead it was left on her due to her nervious nature towards strangers. The lead was washed. When hubby went to collect her he was the first person there and was the last person to leave. The staff member made every effort to carry out every other persons dog upon their arrival so they could take their dog home. He had to wait until the waiting room was clear only to be told our dog was up there. No showing him where she was. He had to find his own way to her when he looked around the staff member was gone. He found our girl with no water she was really stressed and drank a lot of water when we got home. He left with out saying a word. I never went back after that. We have found a new vet who understands our girls fears and its good to know we can relax and not stress our selfves when our girl has to visit the vet. I was happy with the medical service they provide. I wish them well.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Highfields vets are amazing! They operated on my staffies eyes recently & he needed weeks of daily care afterwards to get his eyes right again. The staff went above & beyond daily to make sure Milo had the care & medication needed to heal his eyes. Milo is back to his happy self thanks to Highfields vets & i cant recommend them highly enough. ❤️

They’ve been looking after him for a while now, and every single visit has been such a positive experience. The whole team is incredibly kind, patient, and professional — you can really tell they love what they do. Dr. Ashleigh and Dr. Alex always take the time to explain everything clearly and make sure Jack is comfortable, while Nurse Courtney’s gentle touch and genuine care always put us at ease. Tayla is always so welcoming and friendly at the front desk — it’s such a lovely feeling walking in and being greeted with a smile. We’re so grateful to have found such a wonderful team who treat Jack like one of their own. Highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for compassionate, top-quality veterinary care!

Fantastic experience: My sweet girl was in labour and started having a few little complications and through all my stress and 50,000 phone calls, Kyra was an absolute angel! She answered every call, calmed me down, and gently talked me through every step. I honestly don’t know what I would’ve done without her kindness and reassurance. It’s so rare to find someone who truly cares the way she does. She went above and beyond for both me and my girl, and it meant the world. ✨ I’m SO glad I found this vet practice - we’ll never go anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: I am a visitor to Toowoomba and my French Bulldog twisted her nail around and was in a lot of pain. Vet Dr Fiona Hapelt performed minor surgery on her. The wound was well protected by bandaging with a course of pain relief and antibiotic tablets, after 5 days she is hardly limping. Fees were reasonable. The vet clinic is modern and very clean. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. I am very happy with their service and recommend them.

We ended up making the hard decision to get our dog put down and I appreciate the honesty from the team here in relation to the likelihood of further injuries if she had the proposed surgery. They could have chosen to withhold a bit of extra info from me which would've resulted in more work for them - the honesty was very much appreciated.

Fantastic experience: I took my staffy ragnar in for an umbilicle hernia removal and desexing,during the operation they found an infection under the hernia that if left untreated could have caused many problems for him in the future it was all done for less than$600 which is great considering he is 24 kg of muscle so the anastetic would have been close to $400.aA week later and i have my beautiful boy back to his former self,i cannot thank the team at highfields vets enough for everything they did for my little man,even ringing up the day after his op to make sure he was ok,if you love your pet you will love this vet

Fantastic experience: Our beautiful girl - Cherry (CKCS) has been looked after by the Highfileds Vet Surgery. She had a big dental work done recently. We are very happy with the service provided here. All Staff - doctors, nurses, receptionists - are very nice and very helpful. Our BIG thank you to all of you!! Fantastic experience: Great visit at highfields vets, staff are helpful, kind and understanding. I have a dog with pre existing health conditions. I liked that I was informed of my options but not judged for choosing to not explore them at this stage. If you are looking for a vet in highfields I highly recommend highfields vet surgery!

He requires ongoing care and monitoring for a complex medical condition and I have found the vets, and all the staff for that matter, to be exceptionally thorough, caring and compassionate and Dudley loves visiting them too!

Fantastic experience: We are always made welcome at the vet surgery. We love our pet and use the services of HVS because of the professional and caring manner of all staff there. We especially seek out services of Peter Lyons, as Peter has cared for our pet over several years now and our pet is relaxed in his presence. The clinic has excellent facilities, is located conveniently for the community of Highfields and its surrounds and is open six days a week, over extended hours for convenience of people needing to manage their pet's care against other commitments. Well done, VHS!

Fantastic experience: Great service and friendly staff.

Negative experience: Overall, not a good experience. Our dog was lame, so we took him to the vets for an initial appointment which was good and the vet was sympathetic and thorough. We took the dog back for a series of xrays - they didn’t take the xrays till after 5pm (we dropped him off at 8am), and didn’t complete all the xrays discussed at the initial appt. They charged us for all of the xrays (that they hadn’t done). We had to request a refund after it was clear they had not completed all the xrays. The vet advised it likely that a previous surgery had failed - which was not the case- as the dog is not lame anymore. We asked for the xrays but they refused, sure, this is within their rights, but still not nice.

Fantastic experience: Highfields Vet Surgery has been our local vet for a couple of years now. The staff are wonderful - caring and professional. Always my first preference for our dogs and cat.

Fantastic experience: We take both our dogs to this vet and they are amazing. Our dog decided to eat a macadamia nut and it got lodged. They took such good care of her. Had X Rays and surgery that day. The care the team take in ensuring your pets recovers is excellent!

Fantastic experience: We have a British Bulldog pup so it's fair to say we have had a few visits to the vet already. The team at HVS are always welcoming and friendly. They are all very knowledgeable and great at explaining exactly what needs to be done and are very affordable. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Came home from work and my 7mth old pup had a stick wedged up in the roof of his mouth and was quite stressed. The vet practice we had been using recently closed their practice, it was close to 5pm and I didn't know where to go. I rang Highfields Vet Surgery, explained I haven't been to them before and what my puppy had done. They didn't hesitate and told me to bring him straight down and they will fit him in. Everyone was wonderful and I was so appreciative that they took us in and sorted out my puppy with the least amount of stress. Can not recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is incredibly friendly, helpful and thorough. I have seen two different veterinarians here and both are fantastic. We have seen Dr Alanna several times now and love how calm and relaxed she is. We find that calmness transfers to us and our pets when we see visit. She has a very reassuring and welcoming persona, is thorough and knowledgeable, and has a beautiful way of explaining things. Andrew is also very personable, helpful and welcoming;. he and Tayla, along with the rest of the team, always provide incredible service. They offer extremely competitive pricing, a beautiful and immaculately clean practice, and do everything to make our visits as easy as possible. Seriously impressed all round and so glad to have found them !

Negative experience: WARNING…. They will not give you any copies or photos of the X-rays you pay to get done….. what a scam . Never will I go back…. And then they did a complete withdrawal of what they originally said about the X-ray results!!!! Wow… Never again
