Fantastic experience: Caring vets and reception team. Great parking and good amount of space at entry to keep dogs safely distanced. Nurses show good recognition of potential for dogs to be too close. Recommend.

Negative experience: I am beyond disappointed with my experience at Green Cross Vets Woolloongabba / AEC and feel compelled to warn other pet owners. I contacted Green Cross as I believed my dog had an ear infection, only to be told there were no appointments available for Healthy Pets members for a week – not sure what I am paying for if there are so few appointments available. The staff member on the phone advised that I could use my membership at AEC instead and they were currently quiet so now was a good time to bring my dog in. She explained that the only difference would be that if medication was required, I would simply be given a script to purchase it elsewhere if I preferred. I specifically asked about costs. I was quoted $80 for ear swab pathology and approximately $40 for medication if it was the same as last time. That sounded reasonable and transparent. Unfortunately, that transparency disappeared the moment I arrived. When speaking to the nurse, I was informed that pathology had “recently increased” to $150 - nearly double the amount I had been quoted just 30 minutes earlier. After I questioned how such a significant increase could occur in half an hour, they agreed to honour the original $80. That should have been the first red flag. The vet, Dr. Sarah, was lovely - professional, informative and kind. She was the only positive part of this experience. At checkout, however, things escalated dramatically. I was presented with medication priced almost double what I would pay at a standard Green Cross clinic. I calmly explained that I had been told on the phone that I would be provided with a script so I could purchase the medication elsewhere. This is when Joanne became obnoxious. Her response was shockingly rude and completely unprofessional. She informed me that I would need to pay $40 per script, per medication (an additional $80) - a fee that was never disclosed to me - and then added, “If you were a good dog mum, you’d just buy the medications now.” I was absolutely gobsmacked. Not only was I being hit with undisclosed fees, but to have my care for my dog questioned in such a manipulative and condescending way was unacceptable. I reiterated exactly what I had been told on the phone. Joanne responded by saying her “friend” was the one I had spoken to and that I must be wrong about what was said. To be effectively called dishonest, in front of staff and other clients, was humiliating. She continued speaking down to me, stating that I “chose” to attend this appointment and that emergency appointments come with higher fees - completely ignoring the fact that I had only attended based on the information provided by their own staff. When I again requested the scripts, I was told there was now no vet available and I could “sit and wait a few hours” or come back another time. I was unable to return due to other commitments. I requested Joanne’s name to lodge a complaint. I was given the details for Healthy Pets Plus and not Greencross Customer Care. As I left, she walked extremely close behind me in what felt like an unnecessarily intimidating manner. I have since called to make a formal complaint and am still awaiting a return call from the area manager. I also requested a copy of my invoice both in person and again over the phone and have yet to receive it. Price increases happen. Policies differ. But misleading information, undisclosed fees, gaslighting, and personal insults toward a paying client are completely unacceptable in any professional setting - particularly in a veterinary practice where people are already stressed and worried about their pets. Dr. Sarah was wonderful. The rest of the experience was appalling.

Positive experience: A bit disappointed the lump was not fully removed and was tested even though I said cause of age I would not be doing further treatment just wanted him to be able to breathe through his nose. After talking today at least with testing he may just need some steroids to fix and won’t need more surgery.

Negative experience: My puppy was excessively itching licking and biting himself so I took him to this vet. It was clear he had an allergy. They expressed his anal gland and said it was the cause and to see how he responded. He continued suffering for two more days until I could take him to his regular vet. To make matters worse they charged me double for a mistake. My money was refunded but I was thoroughly disappointed. I won’t be returning to this vet.

Negative experience: Clear miscommunication issues within staff. Waited 40 mins at an appointment for my cat to get nails clipped. never got seen. Asked to confirm I had the right time, staff were no help so I left. Waste of time and super frustrating.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgraceful. Took my dog in for his regular vaccination, vet did the vaccination in his leg instead of his neck. When I brought him back home he seemed to be uncomfortable. He did not let me touch him around the vaccination site, screams when walking or if I try to move him or even touch him. Constant panting, when I call the vet back and explained the situation all the response I get is that bring him in and we are going to charge you emergency fees. No help or information about what can I do to make him feel better or calm dow so I can at least pick him up move him and take him to vet. No compassion at all, it’s all just a business to them and nothing more. Do yourself a favour and do not ever take your vet to these guys, not only they’ll hurt your healthy dog, they’ll refuse to help you and ask to charge you double.

Negative experience: Some lady who didn’t look like she had much passion for animals took my injured magpie that I had to catch as for the past couple of weeks I could tell it wasn’t well. Anyways I asked about if I can hear any information of what happens to the poor bubba as they asked me to write all my details about the magpie and my personal details like they would update me right? Very bit$hy toned voice from this person when I asked “you can call us if you want to find out information” so guess what I DID hahahaha. Apparently they magically lost my information within the next 24hrs!! Wow… spoke to someone else said they would have given it to the rspca. Called them up and guess what magic again no magpie to be seen on them either as stones corner greenslopes vet DID NOT GIVE THEM THE ANIMAL I WANTED TO SAVE AND FIND INFORMATION ON. Guess I’ve learnt my lesson to not give native animals that we are supposed to protect in our country to them. Never returning thank you next xx

Fantastic experience: Brought my cat in for a routine physical exam and had a great experience with Dr Kelwin who is knowledgeable, gentle and very attentive. Negative experience: I would rate this clinic less than 1 star if that was an option. Dr Yasmee Cheng did an inadequate assessment of my unwell dog - said she could not find anything wrong with him from her physical exam, without offering any options for further testing. He ended up passing away suddenly and in a very traumatic way less than 12 hours later. I tried to write a complaint but the clinic stopped replying me despite me sending follow up emails. So I never had my concerns addressed. Because of this, i would suggest that people take their responses on Google reviews with a grain of salt because even though they say they will address the issue if you write to them, they don’t follow through on their word. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone due to the poor service all around.

Most of the time we were having consultation with Dr Kelwin Kun and we had been receiving very detail diagnoses for my kitten, and it is much appreciated that our kitten was treated with patience and care by Dr Kelwin!

Fantastic experience: Amazing Emergency Vet Service. Yes, it can take time to be seen depending on the Emergency, like humans. I have been to a different Emergency centre and was not treated well so was hesitant about going here. Yes had to wait due to other animals attended for more urgent matters but it was worth the wait and care and attention we [husband, myself] and our fur pup, Bella received = priceless. Negative experience: I regret to say that even a one-star rating feels generous based on my experience with the Green-cross emergency veterinary hospital. I brought in my 6-month-old dachshund for an initial emergency visit 4 weeks ago as he was experiencing uncontrollable vomiting that progressed to pale pink, nearly bloody fluid, along with visible deterioration. After X-rays and bloodwork, I was advised by Dr. Daniel C. that everything appeared normal. I was charged approximately $800 and sent home with anti-nausea medication and instructions to monitor him. One month later, despite only mild symptoms such as heavy breathing and lethargy, I returned urgently to the same hospital. My puppy was coherent when handed over to staff; within minutes I was informed he had become unresponsive and CPR was being performed. Tragically, he did not survive. When asking Dr. Joanna Y. for the cause of death, I was nonchalantly told “I don’t know” and advised that there was blood in his lungs and audible crackling, symptoms I feel aligned to his vomiting with the initial consultation, leading me to believe underlying issues were not detected. No further diagnosis was provided & was told that if I wanted answers, I would need to pay a further $1000 for an autopsy through UQ. I strongly believe that the assessment during our initial visit was inadequate, and that a more thorough and extensive evaluation could have identified underlying issues earlier. Given that this was a paid emergency consultation, I expected a professional level of care and diligence. Additionally, after paying around $800 for the first visit and another $1000 for the second, I was not provided with an itemized receipt on either occasion, which should have been standard procedure. Due to this deeply distressing experience, I will not be returning to this clinic and will ensure my other dachshund receives care elsewhere.

Negative experience: We went in to Greencross for a desexing quote for our two groodle puppies last week. We were told it would be $1,200 for both and booked in. A week later, they call me to confirm and get background, then we received the procedure estimates via email. All of a sudden the price had jumped to around $2,200. When I called to query it, they acknowledged that the additional charges should have been disclosed at the start. The added costs included “recommended” blood tests and two long consult fees because the puppies are “new patients” and the vet would “need time to get their background”. They’re puppies – they have no real medical history. One of them is already in their system from a previous Greencross clinic. These long consults are 30 mins. So I queried whether that meant we would be there for an hour, which of course they said it’s unlikely. But still doubled down on the need for two long consult fees. As far as I can understand, this seems excessive considering they are puppies and being examined together. Why these fees are not built into the cost is beyond me. It’s extremely deceptive. Across each of our three interactions, they repeatedly kept upselling their $600 per dog per year “wellbeing” program to offset the cost. Even after running the numbers and explaining that we already have comprehensive insurance (which their program does not replace), the upsell continued. The maths still had us worse off. The whole experience felt incredibly misleading and sales-driven. They offered nothing to rectify the situation. We’ve now cancelled and gone to another vet who was transparent, clear and upfront from the beginning.

Fantastic experience: I’m really glad I made the decision to change veterinary clinics to this Greencross. The reception staff are so lovely when you come in. My cat, Suki, had her first consult with Dr Jacqui and it was the calmest I’ve ever seen her with a vet. I really appreciated the time she spent in the appointment asking questions, answering mine and giving me a lot of information. I had booked Suki in for dental surgery yesterday and Dr Kelwin and all the nurses were super professional and kind. Thank you so much for caring for Suki (especially when she was so grumpy about it).

We actually paid less than I expected this year than for last year's visit even though kitty had to have their annual vaccination and get a medication prescribed... Negative experience: Signed quote for surgery not abided by. Kept waiting for 45minutes due to a difficult consult before us (which is understood), but not thought of to be checked on or asked if I needed to reschedule. Asked to pay for medication when driving out of the carpark as the vet hadn't processed it during the appointment time or whilst I was rebooking at reception. Will not be back.

Fantastic experience: A business that approaches the care of their patients and their families like their own. My puppy’s health was paramount and my finances were never seen as a “let’s rip her off” in fact I got money back when her Spey was easier then first thought. Fantastic experience: Took Cosmo my 6yo standard poodle in for emergency treatment late yesterday afternoon as he started behaving unusually and I was worried about GDV. I phone d first and was impressed with their calm efficiency, which was also the case when we arrived. They were expecting us and immediately took Cosmo for emergency triage. Luckily, GDV was ruled out after a thorough examination, but I was supported and reassured that I had done the right thing. All staff were very impressive.

Fantastic experience: The Greencross staff at Stones Corner are so friendly, polite and helpful, and we have never had any issue with bringing our anxious Maltese for assessment and treatment. Dr Jacqui Johnston is excellent for dealing with behavioural issues (in conjunction with a nearby dog behaviourist). Also, Healthy Pets Plus has saved us so much money, that it is now standard for our little puppy, who needs regular care.

Fantastic experience: Update: Second visit for annual check up and vax. So lucky to be able to book to see Dr. Holly again! We still love her and will still come back to her next year! <3 My cat and I had our first vet trip together. My cat was extremely comfortable despite meeting Dr. Holly for the very first time. Fantastic experience: Desexed & microchipped my 7 month old cat here, seemed a bit expensive compared to my last male cat desexing, however the doctor was great. The surgery was done so well that my cat did not require stitches as his body had already closed up the incision before the anaesthetics wore off.

Negative experience: Brought my cat with a serious health issue in the very early hours, so I had to wait a while to be seen which is understandable. Once seen, the vet was genuinely amazing but I had a terrible experience with the other staff/place itself. Ended up having to put my cat down when I was there, and the vet was so lovely and understanding during this process. Once it was over, she had to leave so left me with my cat for a few minutes and said a nurse would check on me/my cat to finish up/pay and whatnot. I was sitting with my just died cat for over 30 minutes and no one had checked on us. There was no one in the waiting room/reception anywhere. I called out, knocked on doors, called the phone number but there was no one anywhere. I was devastated at the sudden passing and did not want to leave him dead and alone but after about 40 minutes I finally got through to someone on the phone to tell them like hey I’ve been sitting here with my dead cat waiting for someone. I was already devastated and there was no apology or level of respect that was needed in the situation, I was too heartbroken to be mad at anyone in the moment. This was about 9 months ago but it has left such an huge impact on me, I hope they’ve improved in this aspect.

Negative experience: While the care of our pet was adequate, communication regarding fees was handled badly and the quoted amount over the phone increased when it came to pay with the addition of a previously unmentioned consultation fee. The quote for the procedure was never emailed to us, nor shown to us on admission, which the surgery refused to take responsibility for. This also happened last year when we brought our pet in for vaccinations. A price was quoted over the phone and then a consultation fee added on the day of the appointment. We will not be back.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, my last visit was disappointing and fell short of professional standards. A quotation was initially provided but later revised due to what was described as an internal miscommunication and process error. The administrator placed the burden back on myself as the customer, which I found careless and poorly handled. As a result, I chose to seek services elsewhere and had a significantly more positive experience — with greater transparency, better customer service, and a lower overall cost (even without insurance, which I have also now cancelled).

Fantastic experience: I brought my cat Ella in early Easter Monday as the medication prescribed in the last visits to our local vet were having no effect. My cat was in significant distress. The vet prescribed antibiotics and anxiety meds and within a couple of days her symptoms had reduced and she is now fully recovered. I am autistic and I was very nervous, the vet was so compassionate and gave me time to explain the history (I was struggling to talk) and eased my nerves. I’m so thankful and I hope the attending vet reads this: thank you so much for being available at 4am, you must have been so tired and I appreciate your professionalism.

Negative experience: We had our cat in for emergency treatment with a bill in the thousands of dollars. We didn't have the money and were advised VetPay offered interest free loans, and they suggested we reach out. In the end, no... Only after signed up (middle of the night, with them not treating our cat until we pay) 18 percent interest!! Ugh.

Fantastic experience: I had to take my dog into Greencross recently and could not be happier with the experience and outcome. I made a few calls to Greencross to discuss my dog’s symptoms as she is very anxious at the vet. Everyone on the phone was extremely patient and were happy to suggest a care plan that suited my dog. We were able to get an emergency surgery organised quickly. We met with Dr Sarah who was so detailed, knowledgeable and patient. We had so many concerns and questions regarding the treatment and Dr Sarah took the time to address absolutely everything. Her and the team were able to resolve the problem quickly and handled my anxious dogs’ needs with care. My dog has healed quickly. Such a stressful situation was made a lot easier due to everyone’s efforts and their passion for animals is evident in their work. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing staff at this clinic. Everyone is super helpful, caring, and attentive. This is our emergency vet for our puppy, and we have always been happy to help if needed. The staff are very knowledgeable and will take their time to help and explain any issues that your pet may have. Our puppy also seems to be ok with coming here as he never bats an eye walking in.

Negative experience: I will never go back. My 12 week old Maine Coon kitten woke up with her eye swollen shut out of nowhere so I called ahead and rushed her down to this vet. $250 later just for a 5 minute appointment where the vet consistently got her age, breed & health history incorrect. He did not even clean her eye. The vet declared it was cat flu, there’s no cure and prescribed an ointment and if it doesn’t get better in 7 days come back. The vet did not even show me how to apply the ointment, the lady at the chemist was more helpful. I received no reassurance and left the vet more anxious about my kittens health then when I arrived. Although all the staff were surface level polite, there was no care or interest in my kittens health and they did not even check if something was lodged in her eye or if she had been stung by something. This vet is just a money grab that doesn’t show any compassion, I will never bring her back to this vet & will find someone who is actually helpful and cares more about the animal then the money.

Fantastic experience: Dr Williana was an absolute wonderwoman in fixing our silky terrier’s overbite trouble. She was kind, attentive, professional and the whole team at Greencross were a delight. Our pup was beautifully analgesed and post procedure cares and follow up exemplary. So great to see a team doing it right, will happily recommend to others.

Fantastic experience: My dogs can be escape artists and thankfully they are always brought to this vet. Honestly I could not be more grateful to the lovely staff!! Negative experience: Absolute thieves! All they care about is how much they can extract from you, regardless of the situation and circumstances. Daughter (very distraught & in tears) brought cat in (hit by car) they demanded $1000 to do anything (obviously knew it was going to be $$ and cat likely to die) She paid. Then quoted $7000 for surgery! (didnt inform us of the on-going costs she would have post surgery etc, that would come after) Couldnt afford this, so $1500 and a dead cat! Daughters first job and these guys ripping her. Nice work Greencross. vets.

Positive experience: Fantastic care but beware this is both a vet and an emergency clinic. I was told I could walk in and was then charged an extra $120 on top of a standard consultation because it was treated as an emergency. This needs to be explained on the phone and dare I say if people do happen to walk in without calling. $60 for an antihistamine is also outrageous.

Positive experience: In my little cavalier Charlie’s last month of his life he spent a lot of time here and was always given the best care, staff were always friendly and helpful and could see we were going through a hard time. Only once did I have a less than ideal experience when one of the vets spoke very candidly about how we shouldn’t be signing to resuscitate him if anything went wrong, but I don’t know if this was a Greencross vet or an AEC vet. Thanks to the team for your support in Charlie’s last few months of life.

Negative experience: I want to give more stars because Bethany was so professional and caring and our two scared little felines were so relaxed in her care. But $66 for a tube of Fungafite? That I can buy online for $22? That’s just disgraceful and I feel like a fool for having tapped my card and walked out without checking. Seriously? Bethany said “around $50” in the consult…. SIXTY SIX DOLLARS. Is that a joke? I pay $45 a month to Greencross for the very occasional visit, and that’s the reward…. Very much considering revoking the HPP and going elsewhere because that just feels insulting.

Fantastic experience: We have been coming to Greencross for years and my daughter brings her dog here as well. We are members of healthy pets plus. The vets are so compassionate and caring. They are very thorough and very knowledgeable. We trust them and know they take great care with our doggies when they have their teeth operations. The front of staff are fantastic as well with great customer service. Thank you guys for looking after our doggies. Would 100% recommend Greencross!!

Fantastic experience: We needed unexpected advice & assistance later at night just before a public holiday. Staff were calm, patient welcoming & helpful both on the telephone & during the consequential consult without pressuring us in terms of options. Our rough n ready mixed breed was treated with kindness, excellent care and attention & our issue was resolved quickly. The environment and the staff ensured our dog had a positive emergency veterinary care experience despite being in distress and experiencing confusion & pain. We would return!! We thank Green Cross Vets - especially Iain - for their care & diligence. Negative experience: Update, they show good care for animals sure. But they drag out processes to scam more money out of you, overcharge for visits when absolutely nothing was done, paired with their "pet insurance" it's a massive scam. Customer service team is horrible, they resend the same things like spam.

Fantastic experience: I had my first visit to emergency here today when I was unable to get a last-minute appointment at my usual vet, after my cat exhibited symptoms of a UTI. I have a rescue ragdoll who can be like a wild beast when feeling threatened (vet visits!) and it can be very difficult to complete any kind of consultation (despite having Gabapentin before any visit). Dr Sarah was wonderful in handling her and with the help of a vet nurse was able to take a urine sample via needle. I've decided to take her back to Sarah for bloods, as she feels confident she'll be able to do this without sedation (which would be how my usual vet would do it). It's also great knowing they have all the equipment for any tests you'll need.

Fantastic experience: Easier to get a spot when there was emergency for my cat, it also operates 24:7 emergency vet. The receptionist was attentive, the vet Dr. Sarah was super gentle with my cat and be sure answer the questions you have tethered health of your fur babies! Highly recommended, especially if you can’t access to your usual vet for emergency.
