Negative experience: DON'T BE FOOLED by the caring cat people of the cat clinic and the whole warm and fuzzy reception. If you need a routine procedure i would even try anybody else first. If you're cat is sick or emergency i would recommend the only 24hr staffed with actual specialist doctors with all the equipment for anything @ logan , brisbane Cats on fluids need constant monitoring whilst on iv fluids Overfluid can be absolutely dangerous and fatal if not found quickly and without treatment a slow death. If you need dental done on your constant source of unconditional love. I would only recommend the only small animal DENTIST in Qld @ Sabortooth. Not sure on spelling, don't mistake the dentist for the 24hr they are not linked . I would not recommend woollengabba 24 or to anyone. Be warned do your homework first.

Negative experience: Took my 16 year old cat in on Monday for a check up as she can’t meow anymore but otherwise happy and healthy, they told me she had cancer and asked me to start treatment asap. I trusted them and started treatment on Thursday and then by Friday she was lifeless and died 2 days later. They did not warn me with any potential risks, all they said was the treatment could prolong her quality life and suffer less. What a load of bullshit, I wish I didn’t take my girl there and she would still be with me today. First photo is my girl before treatment, second photo 2 days after treatment. She got put down shortly after that as she was suffering too much

Fantastic experience: The best cat hospital - only they are worthy of looking after our precious furbabies Australia's best cat doctors reside here! No dog smells and sounds to upset them - it is upsetting enough to go to the vet! The surgery has such a benign and serene feeling about it and this is such a great part of the experience and service here The nurses are really wonderful and are great support to us as guardians also. We travel 40 minutes to see this clinic - worth every meow on the way!

Fantastic experience: Im so lucky to have found such a wonderful group of people who have a love for cats! Finding a reliable and trustworthy vet is always stressful. Our pets are our family. Having to leave your pet in another's care is always stressful. After speaking with Sue over the phone and booking the appointment, you just know when your dealing woth kind hearted individuals. They took the best care of my boy, Bamsi. And im grateful for that. There prices for check-ups were on pare with other vet clinics fees. Highly recommended to anyone who wants a cat specific clinic with staff that will love on your pet as much as you!

Fantastic experience: Our little Manx Simba got very sick very suddenly. We took him to the only place we knew that would move mountains to help us. We were given a diagnoses which wasn’t good but also given home care options with close monitoring from the clinic. Sadly during the cyclone Simba declined further and we had to send him for his last sleep. The clinics was absolutely fabulous in their support for our little man and we are so grateful to the doctors but also the staff. Reception staff are amazing. If you want a vet that will love and care for your cat the way you would I highly recommend cat clinic. Thank you Cat Clinic ❤️

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience with the cat clinic, when I took my cat for an entropion repair and a procedure to flush the duct connecting her nose and eyes in December 2023. Later that day, I received a call from the clinic stating that the procedure had been completed but was "tricky" due to my cat’s eye anatomy. When I picked her up, I asked if she needed pain relief or any post-procedure medication, but they assured me she didn’t. The next day, however, her eyes looked extremely sore and inflamed. Concerned, I contacted the clinic again, but they dismissed my worries and told me it was "normal." Not feeling reassured, I consulted a trusted veterinary specialist, who immediately noted that my cat’s eyes were inflamed and required treatment. I then took her to see the eyes specialist, who not only confirmed the inflammation but also questioned how the procedure had been performed. Upon reviewing the clinic’s notes, the specialist was surprised to see no mention of the duct flushing procedure I had originally been told was done. I attempted to get clarification from the clinic, requesting to speak with the surgeon. Despite multiple attempts, I never received a call back. This experience has left me extremely frustrated and disappointed. Lack of proper post-operative care, poor communication, and unanswered questions about the procedure itself make it difficult for me to trust this clinic. Pet owners deserve transparency, proper treatment, and responsive care—unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I would give 0 star, ZERO care was provided from this clinic!

Fantastic experience: I first visited with my cat in April/May last year for specialist imaging, making the hour-long trip each way. Despite the distance, I will never take my cat(s) anywhere else again. I've seen several vets here, and their empathy and kindness stood out—especially when we sadly lost our boy. They guided us through his illness and final days with genuine care. Now, with our elderly girl, their expertise has been just as evident. When she recently had a health issue, they acted quickly, and she bounced back beautifully. She hates vet visits, but their gentle approach put her at ease—even after the long drive. The vets here are true cat people and specialists. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Rhett Marshall is truly an angel, my cat had dealt with ongoing urinary obstructions and I spent a month without sleep and crying every night thinking I would lose my boy, but then I found Dr. Rhett. He was so kind and understanding and truly invested in helping Oreo for good! He walked me through the whole process of a perineal urethrostomy surgery and he truly had the knowledge and experience to confidently perform the surgery well. I was given many updates during the process and always felt that Oreo was given the best of care. 16 months on from the surgery and Oreo has not had anymore problems and lives his best and laziest life ♥️ I had so many dark days I thought Oreo would not live but thanks to Dr. Rhett our boy continues to thrive everyday.

Negative experience: As I write this review I want to say that I have had some really good previous experiences at the cat clinic, and I have also had some questionable one's. Ultimately this last interaction ended up with my 3yo cat very unexpectedly passing away whilst in their care. What I want to highlight the most in regards to my concerns around this incident, is that no one is at the clinic in the evenings to keep any kind of watch out or observations on your pet. So, if they do have a turn for the worst, no one is there to do anything about it. Long story short my cat was diagnosed with a kidney obstruction via ultrasound, and was admitted to the clinic and put on IV fluids. He then was administered medication for the obstruction. The next day the obstruction had cleared and all was looking good! But they wanted to keep him in for another two night to make sure. Come the following day, I get a call to say that when someone arrived in the morning, my cat was bringing up fluid from the lungs and his IV had stopped working. Due to that, they couldn't sedate him to incubate him, and that there was so much fluid they couldn't get to the airway without that process and he went to cardiac arrest and died. This somehow turned into my cat having undiagnosed heart disease because his breed is susceptible to it (ragdoll cross).. My cat had only ever been to this clinic so if that was the case regardless it was missed on their watch. Another explanation was something dislodged from the kidney and travelled causing the death. But I find these explanations challenging to accept based on the facts. So I called the clinic the next day and spoke to reception and said I had some questions about the heart disease, mostly because I was wanting to purchase a new kitten from the same breeder and if there was a genetic risk. I was told I would need to speak to one of the vets and they would get someone to call me back, but no one returned my call.

Negative experience: This is a review I am writing approximately three months after losing my beloved cat. On 24 May 2024, I took my cat to the Cat Clinic for surgery to remove a lump from her lower lip under general anaesthesia. I wanted to minimize the stress on my elderly cat, so I requested a senior cat check-up, including a blood test, during the visit. However, this was overlooked, and the surgery was performed without the blood test. When I went to pick up my cat around 5 p.m. on the day of the surgery, I found out that the blood test had not been conducted. When I raised my concerns, they took my cat back to draw blood. The vet mentioned that my cat was not in a good mood and they would have to use gas anaesthesia to draw blood. They said they would provide the gas anaesthesia for free as if they were doing me a favour, despite it being their mistake for not conducting the blood test in the first place. I found this very upsetting. I thought it was common practice to do a blood test before administering general anaesthesia. My cat has been to various clinics in Sydney and Brisbane over her 14 years of life, and I always assumed blood tests would be conducted as standard procedure. I was shocked to hear that this clinic did not consider it a mandatory step before general anaesthesia. After the surgery, I waited for the biopsy results of the removed lump, but received no contact from the clinic. I called them, and they informed me that the results had been available for two days. When I asked about the blood test results, they said everything was fine. I questioned why I hadn’t been informed earlier, and they replied that they never call pet owners and it is the owner's responsibility to follow up with the clinic. Is this really the case? Around day 6 post surgery, my cat stopped eating and drinking. I took her back to the Cat Clinic on 31 May. Each time I visited, there was a different vet. This time, the vet examined my cat and said there was nothing unusual... Then, suddenly, the vet mentioned that the blood test from the day of the surgery indicated stage 2 kidney disease. When I asked why I wasn’t told about this earlier, the vet replied that the previous vet probably thought it wasn’t serious enough to mention. I was speechless. Was it because my cat didn’t have a designated vet at the Cat Clinic? Even though kidney disease is common in older cats, shouldn’t I, as her owner, have been informed? I could no longer trust the Cat Clinic, so I took my cat to another hospital, where they found an issue with her lungs. My cat passed away on 7 July 2024. I am not certain how much the surgery affected my cat’s health or what the relationship was between the surgery and her death, but my experience at the Cat Clinic was extremely disappointing overall. After losing my cat, I needed time to grieve and process my emotions, which is why I am writing this review now. I am heartbroken. If I could turn back time, I would choose not to have my cat undergo surgery at the Cat Clinic. I deeply regret it. I miss my beloved cat so much.

Fantastic experience: Words cannot even begin to describe how I feel about The Cat Clinic. Have been going here for over a decade and wouldn’t even think about going elsewhere. Marcus, Rhett, administration staff, vets and the nurses are all beautiful, kind and caring souls. Their expertise and professionalism is outstanding and I trust them 100% to care for my cats needs and wellbeing. The world is a better place with The Cat Clinic in it! If you are reading this and thinking of going to the clinic, just do it. Prices are very reasonable and your cat will thank you for not smelling all the doggy smells at the regular vet, because let’s face it, going to the vet can be stressful enough without having to encounter other dogs. If I could give 10 stars I would!

Fantastic experience: As a devoted helicopter cat Mum, I highly recommend The Cat Clinic. First interaction was with Nicky on reception, was so professional and caring! I felt like I had found the right place to get help for my boy, we had multiple visits to other vets that just couldn’t help him. We were leaving him overnight for tests was the hardest thing (yep one of those cat mums) I was upset but I literally could not fault the team at this clinic! The staff were absolutely amazing so Thank you to Dr Siti and Dr Amber, Nicky, Sarah and all the vet nurses that looked after Takaani we appreciate you all !!

Fantastic experience: My dear boy Leopard had a rather challenging first episode of FLUTD, and after weeks of in and out of emergency vets my regular vet recommended this clinic and Rhett specifically, as a surgeon. They took great care of my cat, and I was regularly informed of changes. Dr Rhett made a real effort to educate and engage to choose the best care, while also being financially conscious. The price was more than reasonable, especially for the free stylish cut We also had many serious words with him about attacking nurses. Receptionists here are very accomodating and helpful, the vets are fantastic and the nurses know their stuff!

Fantastic experience: Our now-nearly-19-year-old Jimmy was a rescue kitten from the Mount Gravatt Cat Clinic and we have had amazing service for all of that time both from the vets and the lovely efficient reception staff there. I just dropped by to this website today to formally leave a Thank You message for the reception staff who always so respectfully, kindly and efficiently manage reception duties via various channels and in my mind deserve a special award for all that they bring for helping us ♥️ .

Positive experience: The receptionist took ages talking to someone on the phone while I was standing at the counter waiting to pay my bill. Thought it was quite rude just to ignore me and not even apologise when she finally got off the phone.

Fantastic experience: I can not rate the Cat Clinic highly enough. My cat underwent a high risk surgery there. He was in a terrible shape when he arrived and the staff were upfront about the risks but also really caring. My cat stayed in for 4 days and each time I visited Eddie was clean and will looked after. The staff were able to share stories that made me know they genuinely cared but just for his health but also for his well-being. I was given regular updates to ease my stress. They drew little love hearts on his bandages which I just adore. All the staff were lovely. Price wise, I was very happy. They quoted me the high and low price and explained why there might be differences. They never encouraged me to get additional scans or tests that weren't required. The end bill was very reasonable. I will always be bringing my baby here from now on and I cannot recommend them enough.

Positive experience: 26/4/24 - This place is usually great and the staff are always super friendly, nice and helpful anytime I’ve been in to get my cat checked, however, I phoned today at around 11AM and the lady from the start of the call had a really bad attitude. I continued being polite regardless and simply asked to cancel an appointment and she was quite rude about it and in the end said ‘you’re welcome bye’ in a sarcastic high pitch tone in response to me saying thank you in a nice tone. From the start of the call she just sounded really rude and it put me off a bit. Not sure if they were just having a bad day but it just made me feel like a bit of a burden calling up. I get everyone has their off days but in the end it was quite unprofessional. Not trying to hate at all as I think this clinic is great but just a bit of feedback for this staff member.

Fantastic experience: I've been meaning to thank the Vet's & staff at the Cat Clinic Mt.Gravatt since last November. My beautiful boy Billy had to be put to sleep at the good age of 16yrs8mths of age due to cancer. He fought with his illness for 7mths & had been to multiple visits at Coorparoo Vet's during this time. Unfortunately it was a case of palliative care & saying goodbye when the time was right for him. The vet at the time was C.T. & was very supportive & caring & had seen Billy weeks previously. The staff at the time being Sue, was especially caring with us & also helped in the next few day's handling the handover of Billy to myself to be laid to rest. Also the sympathy card & lock of fur & paw prints were especially appreciated by us in a time of heartbreak. Thankyou to the team & for that little extra effort in caring!

Fantastic experience: Best place for your cats, they saved my cat & looked at my other cat too. ‍⬛️ They were the most caring team we have ever encountered. They were compassionate and friendly, they explained everything thoroughly and treated us with kindness. I will forever recommend them to every person i know and meet. They were also the best with prices. My main concern was my fur baby & they saved her life. I can never repay that but if you want the best, they are the best 10/10 all the way. My gratitude to this clinic is for life. I'll never go anywhere else.

Negative experience: I brought my cat in for an emergency x-ray procedure since he suddenly had trouble walking. Saw 3 vets there. First was an intake vet, Susan I think, she was ok. More thorough and asked questions. Second was same day after x-ray, over the phone, Amber, hard to tell, I guess she was ok. I was quoted $600 for the procedure but ended up having to pay over $800, due to the medication they prescribed, without consulting that it costs $200. 14 individual syringes, I only needed to use 3 before my cat was better. Also, she told me I may need CT scan as he might have slipped disc, and this is $4000, or a possibility of having to put my cat down. This was abit distressing. Luckily he was better within the week. Then had to bring my cat back in again at the end of that week, saw Luciano. Btw, neither of the vets ever introduce themselves. I had to check online, or check their names on the computer they were on in the examination room. With Luciano, I felt he was a bit blaze, like he wants us to get out of there quickly. He didn’t really say much, other than my cat has arthritis, which I already knew even before I brought my cat in and paid >$800 for X-ray, and meds I don’t really need. Nothing about slipped disc etc. I asked when will this $200 medication expire, as it’s just pure pain killer, he said oh we can keep them a while. Yes, but WHEN does it actually expire? He said oh they keep them awhile there. And if it does expire, the only ‘side effect’ is it won’t work. Oh great. So I paid $200 for meds that I used $30 worth, and I can keep them for indefinite time, but it might be rendered useless for my cat when I do need it, and of course by then I will need another prescription, where you’ll charge me another $200. And that 5 minute ‘consult’ cost $70, and it basically tells me nothing. So overall, disappointed. I thought cat clinic was supposed to be more a specialist. The only special is it’s especially expensive. Only reason for the 2 stars was they can accomodate me quickly for the X-ray examination. Edited review: The owner did response that there is a billing error and someone will call. But to date (6 days later) no phone calls. I also went in to the clinic a few days ago because I had to buy some dental food and couldn’t wait for postage, no one said anything either. I’m still disappointed, I was actually going to move my 3 cats from current vet to this clinic, but probably won’t do so now.

They have always helped me with emergency pet appointments, treatment, and giving me the best advice, and even allowing me to complete a payment plan on a hefty bill. Fantastic experience: I had to use the servcies of the Cat clinic to euthanise my cat who was ill. The vet was very kind and empathic and gentle. I was greatly impressed by the care and comfort. Fantastic experience: Pishi had the misfortune of fracturing all four of his legs after falling from the 6th floor. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Rhett and Dr. Nick demonstrated exceptional communication skills. They took the time to thoroughly explain Pishi's condition, the treatment options available, and the potential outcomes. They patiently answered all my questions, ensuring that I fully understood the situation and the best course of action for Pishi's recovery.

Fantastic experience: My stupid cat has gone to Cat Clinic multiple times due to eating things he shouldn't and required surgeries. Multiple surgeries. Ponzu got to know the staff quiet well and I think he started treating the clinic as his second home. The staff here are absolutely wonderful, the receptionists, nurses and vets are all warm and friendly. Whilst I do hope Ponzu doesn't have to visit the clinic anytime soon, this clinic is definitely my choice of vet to take any cat along :)

Positive experience: These guys are cat lovers as well as specialists. I've been taking my baby there for years. They know their odd breeds-Devon Rex and Sphynx. Cats is what they do! If you want your babies in wonderful hands, I highly recommend the cat clinic.

Animal care is good, they just need to work on improving communication among the team, as there's been a few issues that they rectified. Fantastic experience: Best vet clinic in the area. I have been taking my two cats here since 2020, and despite moving to Gold Coast this year, I will keep taking my cats to the Cat Clinic, it is 100% worth the drive. All my cats' health issues over the years have been resolved extremely quickly which sometimes hasn't been the case with other vet clinics. The Cat Clinic appears to have a lot more specialised equipment than most other vet clinics do. Being a cat-only clinic is extremely beneficial for my girl Lexa who gets stress related urinary problems when she encounters dogs. Also, it is VERY convenient that they are open later than 95% of other vets, on weekends too and they have emergency appointments available too. The Cat Clinic vets always answer any of the questions I might have and they go above and beyond to make sure my cats are healthy. Dr. Nick is extremely good at handling my boy cat Rocket who gets very aggressive at the vets. Despite Rocket's (embarrassing :p) behaviour, Dr. Nick knows how to deal with him and handles him with a lot of care and respect which means Rocket doesn't need to be anaesthetised at his vet visits and I am very thankful for that. However, the whole team at the Cat Clinic is amazing and very skilled and I haven't met a single vet that I didn't like.

Fantastic experience: All 3 of my fur-babies go here, wouldn’t go anywhere else. Marcus and Rhett are excellent, dealing with my senior cat and his specialist issues and my problem child cat who had a congenital hole in his soft palate until Rhett operated and fixed it under control. If you want experts in feline health, then here is where you need to take your cats!

Fantastic experience: Incredible service at both Mount Gravatt and Paddington. The admin, nurses and vets and so caring and thoughtful. Our beautiful fur babies are in the best of hands through the good times and the hard.

Fantastic experience: Shortly after I'd changed to this clinic, one of my cats ate a cat toy and had to have emergency surgery. Usually I go to the red Hill clinic but they referred me to mt Gravatt because they had time for the emergency appointment. The surgery went well, the staff were great at letting me know what was happening every step of the way, and my cat's recovery was quick. The bill was not nearly as high as it was last time he ate a cat toy because last time the previous vet had to refer me to an animal Hospital. Overall I'd highly recommend this clinic for cat owners. It's much less distressing for the cats when they don't have to share a waiting room with dogs.

Fantastic experience: The Cat Clinic are phenomenal. They've been our veterinarians for over two and a half years and they always provided us with the highest quality care. When we sadly had to say goodbye to our beloved kitty, they were compassionate, caring and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye. They followed up with a beautiful bouquet of flowers to show their sympathy for our loss and helped to coordinate the cremation services. When we next adopt a kitty, we'll be back. Thank you to all the vets, nurses and admin staff for everything you've done for us and Minx.

Fantastic experience: Here we always receive Excellent service by experienced, professional and understanding staff and veterinarians. They've got a quiet, clean, peaceful waiting area to help keep our anxious, stressed Kitties as caim as possible. They've got a large cat cage for holding kittens that are or will be up for adoption. We bought our last cat Cindy from there when she was a kitten, sadly she's passed from old age. And they have a cat hospital out the back for serious things. Like our boy Jaffa had to be hospitalized there because he court a bad bacterial infection that attacked his liver. Thankfully the wonderful veterinarians there did tests on him, monitored him, kept his fluids up, and gave him appropriate medication and were able to nurse him back to good health again. They also allowed us to visit him daily while he was in there. And lastly they do after hours consultations too if needed. The cat clinic is a wonderful vet to take your cat to and I'm so glad they are our local vet.

Fantastic experience: Rescued a kitten 14 years ago and he passed few days ago . He has only been at vet 4 times and exceptional service. Only once had to wait 2 hours however was due to other cats in need . Thankful I had the time to wait as my old cat was on his last legs and not in pain . Still rate service and care 100%

Fantastic experience: Finally got to bring our most loverbal family pet back home. She was in the cat clinic since Monday and we’ve missed her oh so much. Thank you to everyone who works down at the cat clinic in mount gravatt you guys all did such an amazing job for Angel. She’s living her best life now after feeling super sick and not herself. Fantastic experience: Any form of more extensive surgery, seriously consider taking your cat to this clinic. Amazing work and great staff. I've had my little girl there a few times now for cancer treatments and cannot recommend them higher.

Fantastic experience: Visited a handful of times including a few times for emergency and we particularly liked how Mandy Roe and Nick treated our kitties.

Negative experience: This cat clinic saved my cats life 1 year ago and I love them for it. But the receptionist is very rude and sighed at me over the phone, for just trying to get information & organize a script to be sent to my local vet for my cats ongoing medication.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended. My cat got severe kidney problem. Other ordinary vets suggested to put her down. They go extra miles to find solution. They are very knowledgable and with patience. A bit pricey though, still worth it.
