Fantastic experience: I came into dr Paws and I’m very glad that I did! My cat is now back on track to being a healthy little squish again

Negative experience: Extremely rude staff, not very knowledgeable vets, the receptionists and manager are bullies - really unprofessional and rude, laughed at me when I was upset. They have no idea about birds either don't waste your money. Have got no idea how to handle cats. Quite shocking. Did not listen to my wishes. This is a reply to your reply. I would never come back to your vet not for veterinary services or to trust you with a wild cat or stray. Your negligence almost resulted in a cat being euthanised. I was very distressed by this and your staff laughed at me. I do not lie and do not appreciate you saying my review doesn't reflect your clinic because that's exactly what a review is for. Everything is true. I only got upset when your staff were dismissive, negligent and rude and I would NEVER come back to a place that has no idea what they are doing. I've got emails to prove about the bird too lol.

Fantastic experience: Always such friendly caring staff, very helpful every time we see them. My once so fearful little rescue chihuahua Beanie is now so comfortabel with everyone, no matter what they have to do with him. That such progress and this doggie mum is so happy. Many thanks. ❤️

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank Dr. Greg Coates and the team enough for saving my budgie, Blue. When I brought Blue in, he was in critical condition—struggling to breathe and barely moving due to severe pneumonia. I was terrified of losing him. Dr. Greg was incredibly professional, calm, and knowledgeable. He didn't give up on Blue because he is 'just a small bird'; instead, he treated him with the utmost care and urgency. Dr. Greg quickly diagnosed the issue and started the right treatment immediately. Thanks to his expertise (and the oxygen therapy), Blue has made a miraculous turnaround over the last 48 hours. He is now eating, perching, and getting his energy back. If you have a bird or any pet that needs urgent and compassionate care, I highly recommend Dr. Greg Coates. He is a true lifesaver. Thank you for giving my little friend a second chance！

Fantastic experience: I've been taking both my dogs here for over a year now and they are absolutely wonderful! My dogs are both quite large anxious boys, all the staff go out of their way to accommodate us and care for them, showering them with love and attention as well as being really kind to me when navigating tough news etc.

Fantastic experience: Dr paws has been amazing to us during the hardest part of being a pet owner. My cat we rescued 7 years ago has been diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive cancer and he is currently on palative care, the staff have been absolutely amazing and supportive and have been very helpful with my financial difficulties. Im forever grateful for all their help, love and support during such a hard time in our lives. I honestly couldnt recommend a better vet.

Fantastic experience: Have been having issues with my cat dash who suddenly appeared to have gone blind over the course of a week or so, and had slowly started to become lethargic, frustrated, and slightly distant. I called this clinic due to being close to home so as to not further stress dash out with a car ride, the great reviews on Google is what prompted me to contact once advised by his normal vet to seek help asap. I was seperated from the main waiting room so dash wouldn't fret further from the strange sounds and smells surrounding him, we were seen to very attentively with much care and empathy. I recommend this vet with full 5stars,

Fantastic experience: Adrian has been our Vet for our past two dogs, he has always provided us with nothing but positive and helpful feedback. Even when it was time to say goodbye to them he was there with his loving help and support. We have known Adrian for the past 10 years and he has always provided written information of what his reccomendations are for treatment. The course of medication he recomends aswell as an action plan moving forward. This is perfect for someone like me, when no sooner do I leave their clinic, I’ve forget half of what he has told me. I have never been more comfortable than to bring our dogs to Dr Paws Clinic on Anakei Rd and I would highly reccomend them to everyone. So it wasn’t even a second thought for me to take my Son and Daughters rescue dog to him, (Am Staff X Ridge back) Boss, immediately fell in love with Adrian. He was comfortable and relaxed not anxious or unsettled like he usually is with vets (we were in consult for atleast 30mins) All he wanted to do was cuddle with Adrian, we were very surprised as we have never seen him that way with a vet ever! Usually he’s start performing crying and dragging us out the door the minute the vet walks in. That says a lot when a dog can be so calm and relaxed like that with anyone. I’ve always believed you know you can truly trust a person if your dog does. We do trust our dog in the care of the vets at this Clinic especially Adrian. Once again from our family to you, Thankyou Adrian.

Fantastic experience: This Vet Clinic deserves all their 5 star reviews. The Vets take the time to explain everything and never rush you out the door. The nurses are the same, very helpful and you get the feeling they are caring for your precious pet like they are their own furkids. Reception staff also go out of their way to make your life easier and check that any questions you may have are answered clearly. Apart from their many patients they also support the rescue groups. They will deal with the rescue group directly which as a foster carer is wonderful as we don't have to get caught up in all the paperwork etc Dr Paws is an all round wonderful practice. They are a 45 minute drive from us but well worth it.

Negative experience: The service today was disappointing. The vet was waiting, but the admin team seemed busy talking behind the drug room. Meanwhile, my already-nervous dog was left hyperventilating and shaking for about 10 minutes before being seen. I was very worried he might urinate on the floor from the stress. For this level of service, I don’t feel it is reasonable to be charged over $350.00.

Fantastic experience: Our 23 year old, beautiful, Blue Russians’ health had declined severely when we visited Dr Paws Vets this morning. Our beautiful boy is now at rest and pain free and we will be able to collect his ashes in a few weeks so he can come back home with us. We highly recommend Dr Paws Vets. The vet we saw was so kind and caring and all the staff were so understanding (although we didn’t thank you at the time, thank you, for helping us through one of our hardest day xxx)

Fantastic experience: Such friendly and helpful staff here. We brought our ferrets in for desexing and they were very conscientious with explaining the process and post-op treatment. They were also very kind and seemed to really enjoy having ferrets in for a procedure. Plus, they were doing a great price on desexing which was an unexpected and pleasant surprise! Our little guys are recovering well and my young daughter is extremely pleased with the results of her research into desexing procedures at vets in Geelong. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: We recently began taking our cat to Dr Paws after he had an accident which resulted in pelvic/hip fractures. The staff here have been nothing short of amazing. They have been so helpful and accommodating- nothing has been too much trouble. Their communication has really helped ease our anxiety throughout this time. They’ve been incredibly honest and practical in their approach to our cats’ care-always taking the time to explain options and helping us avoid unnecessary tests or costs, without ever compromising the quality of care. Fantastic experience: We have visited several different vets in Geelong and never had a vet that we truly love until we found Dr Paws. Fantastic experience: This review is long overdue ... We were seeking a new veterinary practice to move all our animals too. I had heard only great things about Dr Paws Anakie Road Veterinary Clinic. So we made the decision to book an appointment and we have never looked back! We travel from Leopold for our pets to attend this clinic and it is well worth the drive. I couldn't recommend Dr Paws more highly to anyone seeking professional, educated, compassionate and friendly care for their furry family members! My dogs & Cats have responded so well to the staff's gentle nature, calming demeanors and super fun personalities! All the staff's personalities are well suited for her chosen profession. I have had interactions with various Nurses and Veterinarians and I can strongly say they’re all so kind, lovely, funny, caring and all go above and beyond for me and my furry family :) My 2 pugs get very excited to see the staff when we turn up for a visit regardless if they’re feeling under the weather or just there for a routine checkup. This is a direct result to the treatment we receive from the staff when we are there, there is no fear, stress or anxiety as seen in many dogs when at a veterinary clinic. Even my 3 cats’ cope well in the clinic! We are so happy we decided to make the change to Dr Paws Anakie Road Veterinary Clinic as we would never go anywhere else unless we couldn’t get in with them and one of our pets’ needed an appointment last minute. Fantastic experience: Highly recommended. A very scared and distressed little dog (Milo) was loved and nurtured while being treated for her pain. She was muzzled for the first consultation but back for a check up a week later and she was a completely different dog. Lots of kisses for the vet. The service is outstanding. Fantastic experience: Dr Adrian Zumpe has looked after my dogs cats and kittens over many years. Always responsive and helpful. I absolutely trust Adrian with the lives of my much loved geriatric dogs. He keeps them as pain free as possible. Brilliant vet. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: Do not go here if you have a young big dog. I have an almost 2 year old purebred rottweiler, most gentle natured and friendly dog you will ever meet and we were met with chaos. There was no respect in trying to help ease my dog into a new environment or making us a priority, my dog was treated extremely poorly and with fear. Recommendation of muzzle and sedation was made within the first 15 minutes when he was not displaying any aggressive behaviour and actually was grabbed by one of the vet nurses without even telling my dog what she was going to do or treating him with any respect. He was not handled with care, we never actually even got into a consultation room to see the vet. It was such a disappointing experience and left myself and my dog quite frazzled, without the care or assistance we needed and left at a loss. Truly would recommend going literally anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: The vets and nurses at Dr Paws were outstanding when my dog became seriously unwell and required emergency surgery and a lot of aftercare. They went above and beyond for almost a week to keep him feeling safe and cared for while in the hospital, playing movies on an ipad, giving him lots of love and going out to get him chicken to entice him to eat something. They were knowledgeable, professional, compassionate and so supportive throughout the whole experience and did absolutely everything in their power to make sure Remi would be okay. We couldn't be more grateful to our Dr Paws family! We've been going to the clinic regularly for 3 years for skin allergy maintenance and every single staff member has always been wonderful and very helpful. 10000/10 recommendation!

Fantastic experience: We recently took our border collie to Dr Paws as he is suffering with early signs of arthritis and he is now on a course of injections. Greg, the vet was wonderful in explaining a lot to us such as giving him a variety of food and less of it to lose some weight! We would recommend Dr Paws to anyone with pets.

Fantastic experience: Dr Kristie Jennings was AMAZING! So friendly and helpful. She really took the time to make sure we had all the info we needed and answer all our questions. She gave us some really good advice which as first time puppy owners was so reassuring. Our puppy was very happy and relaxed and we are glad we got the "Vaccination for life" plan. $600 and all our vaccinations are covered. Reception staff and vet nurses were also so helpful and friendly. Very glad we have made Dr Paws our vet for life.

Fantastic experience: We have been going here for closer on 10 years. Adrian is an excellent vet with conservative treatment philosophy and a great manner with our two Aussie Bulldogs. Prices are reasonable (relatively) and the staff are competent and friendly. Parking and access is easy with a sufficient sized waiting room.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking my own animals to Dr Paws for close to 8 years now, and before that we took our family pets here too. I’ve only had once bad experience here which was close to 6/7 years ago, but we just loved the vets so much that we kept coming back. They have helped us through many heartaches over the years, especially Adrian. I think he’s dealt with roughly 10 of our dogs/cats over the years, and has always had so much compassion and love in what he does.

Negative experience: My partner and her mum. Were devastated they had to put a family cat down.. Receptionist was nothing but rude & arrogant, did not care one bit. Threatened my partners mother to pay immediately or she will take the cat to the back room without them and ‘ do it herself’ No sympathy or empathy whatsoever. It’s not the first time Hearing about this receptionist either. My mother see’s Adrian, for our dogs needles. If Bailey wasn’t comfortable there, we’d have taken her somewhere else by now… We REFUSE to take any other pets to this vet due to the lack of professionalism from this receptionist.. I’m astonished, Dr paws have continued to keep this receptionist on. She is driving this once beautiful business into the ground.

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but good things to say about the dedication and care provided by all of the Dr. Paws staff during the life and times of mums dog, Sebastian. Sadly we lost him just recently but even then, the very personalized care in his last moments was exceptional. It was much appreciated by us as we were grief stricken. Fantastic experience: I have been going to this practice for 12 years. It took my a while to find a find a practice I liked, and this was certainly not the closest. Every experience has been the best I could hope for. Dr Christy and Dr Adrian treated my best friend up to putting her down in a gentle and thoughtful manner, and now care for the SED puppy I am raising. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Fantastic experience: They are very caring, warm and our pets actually enjoy there visits. I love the feed back for ongoing care and the reminders when checks or vacccination are needed as it takes a load off my shoulders when already trying to keep up to date with flea and worm treatments. They are fantastic & on the ball to help keep our pets healthy not to mention around us for as long as possible

Fantastic experience: Really great vets. They clearly love the animals in their care. Not at all rushed. Little treats for the dogs. Drift was nervous (as he's been before) but all good after the annual injection.

Positive experience: Sorry guys. Seems like a training place. I understand that we have to learn some where. But I expect better. Price wise experience. Your kidding.oh and bought my fur ball in for suspect grass seed only to be told opps. Just hair and leave to find she has kennel cough a week later. $$$ later. I won't be back. Fantastic experience: I wish there was a bigger star rating than 5 for Dr Paws! The team here are incredible. The customer service is wonderful and we are made to feel welcome every time we walk through the door. We haven't experienced a delayed waiting time to date but they do have a little play area to keep my kids amused if ever there is one! I can't fault the friendliness, professionalism and communication of each vet and nurse so thank you. Oh, and they look after our dog so well too I might add!!

Fantastic experience: We found 2 stray kittens and already have an adult cat. When we took the kittens to Dr Paws (both with cat flu), we weren’t sure whether to keep 1, both or neither. We decided to keep both for a few days to make up our minds-we’ve since kept one. The team at Dr Paws explained everything clearly and were amazingly supportive when we left the youngest kitten for adoption and care. The kitten we’ve kept is now fit and healthy and getting to know his new big brother. It was an emotional time knowing how to manage our newly (and unexpected) family and the staff are AMAZING. Clean facilities, welcoming and caring environment with sound and supportive advice. Can’t recommend the Dr Paws team highly enough. At risk of sounding to business-like, I believe all businesses should take a leaf from the Dr Paws (Bell Park) business model!!! We’re extremely satisfied!!!

Fantastic experience: Sandy my 15 year old Spaniel cross has had lipomas his whole life. Over the past year or so one began to grow rapidly. Adrian and the team have been great at supporting conservative management. However, in the past 6 weeks it really began to grow and looked like it might rupture. So we had to go for surgery. Amazingly good care was taken of Sandy. More than 2Kg of tumour was removed, and he has a huge scar. However, the very next day Sandy was pretty much back to normal, not in any pain, eating, moving around and enjoying his (much lighter) self. We are so happy with Adrian's surgical expertise and the dedicated and wonderful care from the whole team. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
