Fantastic experience: Big thank you to Ben the Vet and the lovely young ladies there today. My dog had been bitten on his face and although it was near their closing time, they happily fitted him in even with the extra Sunday fee the cost was very reasonable. Very happy with the service.

It is rare to find a team that truly puts the animal first rather than profits. They did not push any unnecessary tests, they were honest and straightforward. Negative experience: Would not recommend this VET! :( my baby is in intensive care almost at the end of his life because blood tests weren't done sooner when we ASKED for blood tests, telling us it’s “gastro” when my baby was suffering from something worse which the blood tests would have shown, what vet knocks back blood tests when people are asking for them to be done and says “don’t waste your money” My heart is aching and this vet owe me every single cent that I spent there that got me no where :(

Fantastic experience: This has been my vet for my fur babies since I was 18, I am now 62 and this is still my vet of choice. Staff are awesome, vets are brilliant and it's always busy. You don't need an appointment. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Would give 10 stars if I could ✨️

Fantastic experience: My dog got out while I was overseas and someone dropped her into the team at the kidney vet they were so great looked after her and didn’t even charge for the service. I’m so appreciative. These guys will definitely be my new Vet moving forward.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been to several vets in Geelong but Kardinia Veterinary Clinic is by far the best. I can’t thank the incredible team enough. My two cats have ongoing ear infections and always seem to have something going on, yet every visit I feel truly heard and supported. The vets treat your pets as if they were their own, showing so much compassion and empathy. A huge thank you to Dr. Rod and Dr. Maddy for being so caring and understanding and to the lovely reception staff who are always so helpful, friendly and quick to assist. I honestly couldn’t recommend this clinic enough

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff at the front desk. Go above and beyond. Each time we have visited ( and its been a few over the years) each vet we have seen is kind, patient, full of helpful knowledge, and prompt and efficient at their serves to our two dogs. ( who at times can be highly anxious.

Negative experience: I visited this clinic today for a second opinion after being recommended by a friend. We usually go to a different vet, and made it very clear at reception that we were here to seek another perspective on an ongoing issue with our dog. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. The vet showed no genuine interest, passion, or professionalism. He didn't ask a single question to understand our dog's medical history, what tests we’ve already done, or what issues we were concerned about. There was no effort to gather any background information at all. The vet couldn’t even open our dog’s eye properly by himself and within just 3 minutes, was already trying to send us off without offering any meaningful insight or plan. I asked if there could be underlying issues like allergies to get more information, but his responses were vague. The consultation barely lasted five minutes, and yet we were charged $120. It’s not about the money — we’re more than willing to pay for quality care. But what we received here was not worth the cost. At the very least, we expected a professional who would try to understand our dog’s situation and guide us properly. Instead, we were dismissed with no answers and no direction. Extremely dissatisfied and will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: Our experience at Kardinia Vet was the best service we have ever experienced As vulnerable Pawents travelling with a very sick pooch, the whole team (receptionist and Vets) made us welcome from the minute we stepped into their clinic. They listened to our concerns and examined and treated our doggo for the medical care she required (not once did they try to push unnecessary tests to boost their sales) In addition, they referred us to an Ophthalmologist in Melbourne for further diagnosis. Unfortunately for our girl it was the worse case scenario - Glaucoma Surgery was required so we decided to return to Geelong to have it done at Kardinia Vet. Two weeks on and she is recovering very well We are so grateful for the wonderful and genuinely loving care given to our girl (and us pawents) by the amazing staff at Kardinia Vet. I cannot recommend these guys any higher ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: I would like to send a huge thank you to the team at Kardinia Vet. We took my mums beloved cat in early Sunday morning as he was rapidly declining with a mystery illness, we were welcomed by a lovely lady working at reception who made the process of getting our details and our cats information as quickly as possibly, so we could be seen to promptly. We were immediately instructed to head into a consult room where we were met with Dr Rick. He made an extremely difficult situation easier, he was honest with his advice and provided his professional opinion on the condition and the most possible outcome for our boy. Unfortunately, our Bambi was not going to take a turn in the right direction. The vet assistant (whose name I didn’t catch) gave us a small jar each with some of his fur inside, which was the most beautiful gift after a very traumatic situation, she was so patient with my mum when finalising the payment, as mum was extremely distraught. Thank you to the team once again.

Fantastic experience: First class veterinary clinic! Had to visit them as my dog needed her monthly arthritis injection and I was away from my usual vet clinic for the holidays house sitting my daughters property. I rang them up the day before and it was no trouble for them to see my dog without an appointment and they even organised to obtain her records from my vet to have them ready before I arrived. Everyone from the front desk to the vet in attendance was very professional and friendly and the account was also reasonably priced. If I lived in Geelong I would not think of going anywhere else...highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: My tiny chihuahua was vomiting and suffering from diarrhoea so I rushed her in to this clinic at 5:50 pm. Two injections and an examination ensued and we were sent home with instructions to return if she wasn't much improved the next day. We were back at 9:30 the next morning and she was examined again. This time though, the vet said all seemed to be well and to just keep an eye on her. That evening, she was back to normal. Rod and Fiona were the vets who treated her and they were both excellent, as they have been in the past. I have great faith in this practice. They aren't in the business just for the money. The public needs professional caring treatment for their pets and I have always had that with the three vets that have treated ours.

Negative experience: If you have any pets smaller than a dog, please don't go to kardinia vet, They will either misdiagnose your pet or just tell you to make it comfortable " nothing can be done" After a second opinion it was actually a simple procedure. Will be seeking refund and contacting an ombudsman

Fantastic experience: I don't usually write reviews, but I think this place and the ocean Grove clinic need one. Very professional, great price(got quoted almost double at another clinic), my dog got her teeth out and they cleaned the rest of her teeth, did her nails and brushed her coat as well. Highly recommend this place, what vet clinics used to be like. Thanks so much guys

Fantastic experience: Took a very sick dog I was fostering from a rescue group. Walked in and was seen almost straight away. 2 other vet practices I'd rung couldn't give me an appointment for 5 hours in which time the dog would have suffered too long. I expressed the urgency. They didn't seem to care. One vet practice I'd been going to for 40years the other I'd paid $390 the day before for no real diagnosis.

Fantastic experience: My precious cat stopped eating and I took him to Kardinia Vet Clinic in South Geelong to be told he had advanced cancer and was unlikely to live more than a few weeks. They gave him a steroid injection and that gave us one more precious month together. But then he stopped eating again and this time the steroid injection didn't help. The vets clearly explained what options we had and potential treatments we could try. But they didn't put any pressure on me for any of the options. They were compassionate and understanding

Fantastic experience: Last Saturday my cat was quite unwell. I called, the young reception lady was so understanding and empathetic. Upon arrival, we were looked at just like others. Very polite and nice staffs. When I paid the bill, the other young lady (I think her name was Mia) explained things clearly regarding the medication for my cat. Blessed!

Fantastic experience: My beloved Bling of 17 years was suffering. I knew it had come the time to farewell my feline friend. The staff and vet at Kardinia were par excellence. I could not have asked for a emphatic humane service, I received a hand written card approx 6 days after her passing which was personalised and truly appreciated expressing their condolences.
