Negative experience: Took my dog to get cyst drained he kept bleeding all night took him back the next day and as the vet refused to drain cyst as it refilled with blood,yet I was charged double from the day before. Zero star if possible I’d advise to take pets elsewhere

Fantastic experience: We recently had our cat put down dc maria renee and all the staff were so compassionate and understanding of our grief told us to take as much time as we needed they even assisted in choosing a wooden box to keep our cat ashes in thankyou bvp newcomb for your love and care such a wonderful people to take care of your animals

Fantastic experience: Got a late notice “emergency” appointment for my 15 year old greyhound. Very happy to say this is the first clinic I have walked away happy, from the time we stepped in the reception staff were friendly, compassionate and whisked us straight into a consultation room due to the nature of the visit. Dr Bronte was absolutely INCREDIBLE, professional, kind and caring to both my partner and I and my dog. She took the time to talk to us, make sure we understood everything and listened to what we were saying. We both left feeling confident that we knew what was happening and that our dog was receiving the best care. Thank you so much Dr Bronte and the whole team at the clinic for making a extremely stressful event just a little bit easier <3

Knowing she had called across to stay informed and ensure a collaborative, joined-up approach to his care meant so much to us during an incredibly stressful time. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend taking your fur baby(s) to Bellarine Vet! For the past couple of months I took my cat Darcy to Newcomb and I had the best care I've ever had with a vet. My fur baby had an eye infection which after many tests and consultations came to the conclusion he most likely had FIP (plus other complications), so sadly after two and a bit months I had to make the tough decision to put him down. However, I am so grateful to my vet Silke and all the other amazing workers there. They went above and beyond making sure my cat felt safe, that they did everything they could to find the cause of his health issue while trying to find the best solutions within my budget. And the empathy they all had was so heartwarming - especially with a sad ending. Silke is an amazing veterinarian. She truly cares about your animal’s welfare and is so understanding. She made sure to keep in contact with me about every result and explained everything so well. I knew that my baby was in the absolute best care. And the two veterinarians who were there when I made the hard decision to put my cat down were so compassionate and caring. Thank you to the whole team for caring for Darcy just as much as I did!

Fantastic experience: I just moved from Melbourne and this was my first time visiting the Newcomb clinic. I brought my cat Graham in and I couldn’t recommend the clinic highly enough. The receptionists were able to fit me in the same morning I rang, despite being a day before Good Friday. The vet who assessed Graham was incredibly thorough and knowledgeable during her assessment. She answered all of my questions and gave me multiple options regarding Graham’s investigations and treatment. He’s feeling much better now after a course of antibiotics. I’ll definitely be returning to this clinic when he’s due for his yearly check up.

Negative experience: New groomers different service.The day didn’t start well for an 8am appointment,as the lady that does all the jobs ,other than grooming ,asked if we were in a hurry as the groomer shouldn’t be too far away after dropping the kids off at school .After spending over $100 you would hope that the cut was good but probably one of the worst cuts we’ve seen in years.Wont be back , suggest you find a competent groomer somewhere else.

Negative experience: After multiple visits and declining health of my dog, I was told by every vet that saw him there was nothing they could find. I was given medication that was very expensive for a problem that just didn’t exist. The dog’s health declined so much that when we presented him at a 24hr emergency clinic, only hours after visiting Bellarine Vets Newcomb, he was critical after not eating or drinking for several days. It was discovered through proper diagnostics, at another vet clinic, that he had an abscess in his middle ear. After undergoing the correct treatment with antibiotics, wash outs, prednisone etc he has recovered but has lost partial hearing in that ear.

Fantastic experience: A good experience here on a Saturday morning.The few minutes we waited, the staff member suggested we slot our cat's carry case into a hutch that is specially for calming pets. The vet nurse we saw was friendly and thorough and the visit was as painless as possible for animal and owners. Which is what you want :-)

I feel the rudeness that I experience is completely unacceptable. My loyalty to these vets need a further look.

Negative experience: Not happy at all with service let alone leaving our pet almost dead for unknown reasons after being told a successful surgery responding well no issues to next day after being left overnight without anyone monitoring pets ….. was told i need to put my pet down after spending $2300 I refused brought her home had to syringe feed her because they did not bother to help her feed she was extremely weak finally i have my pet back to her normal self after putting alot of sleepless hours in to saving her life Not to mention i had pre approved loan for this surgery was told it would not go over said price and i would be consulted before anymore money was required only to get. $398 outstanding amount when collecting my pet after paying for everything in advance in full as they asked it should have been added to the pre approved amount used via open pay not left outstanding for me to pay Don’t take your pet here to be spayed its a rip off according to other vets not associated with bellarine vet i was heavily over charged and i am lodging a review on my pet’s treatment

Rachael is completely attuned to my cat's (many) needs and handles his challenging behavioural quirks and extreme anxiety (at the vet) with a calm and soothing manner. She goes above and beyond with her attentiveness and care for my cat and is always available to respond to my queries and/or concerns regarding his medication and/or behavioural changes with patience and understanding. Rachael is a consumate professional and I would recommend her to any cat owner looking for a vet in the Geelong region.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Bellarine vets for years, mostly Newcomb. I have a preferred Vet, Dr Silke, who my pup warms to even when being poked & prodded. I have a sick pup and spend a lot of time here. I find the prices reasonable and the vets are willing to work through priorities when you can't afford everything. Appts are easy enough to get. They work late on weeknights and also open Saturdays. Couldn't ask for more.

They absolutely loved seeing Mia come in and gave her all the love she could ever need. They were always there when I needed to call them for advice or reassurance

Negative experience: Lied and told me my dog was fine, in reality she had heart disease and i had to get her put down. I dont understand how i paid +200 bucks for a vet that cant even do their job properly. Staff is nice but my dog is still dead.

Fantastic experience: Some of the receptionists can be rude over the phone, not very informative and expect you to know everything. The vets on the other hand are so lovely and I feel comfortable having my fur babies in their hands. So helpful with any questions, and knowledgeable. They show a deep interest in your pet rather then an in and out consultation.
