Fantastic experience: I would sincerely like to thank all the staff at Southern Cross Vetinary Clinic for excellent care they provided my dog, Ghunta. He went in with a respetry issue. He was given first class treatment as they diagnosed the issue that I involved a stay over. To my great relief he was confirmed to be not suffering a life threatening condition. We dicided to x-ray him to access his joint condition and although arthritis was present he was otherwise ok. He now takes joint care meds and is like a new dog. Again I would like to thank the staff from reception, nursing and veterinary, you all were amazing. Regards, Ghunta & Dale.

Fantastic experience: Dr Sam and the team are beyond incredible. From the first day we brought our pup, they knew him by name, and made sure everything is beyond ok with him! They offer a range of valuable free services, puppy parties for socialisation, direct line/text with vet, free nail clipping and much more. Everytime our pup was sick, Dr Sam would proactively call/text us, and the reception team practice the same approach. They make us feel valuable and loved. On top of their top notch service, they have top notch facilities with in house CT and MRI, keyhole surgeries and probably more than I know. Southern Cross Vet are also involved in charity work (Project Hope) and giving back to the community. Even the stuffed platypus we got was hand made by someone in need! Fantastic experience: Wonderful staff and so helpful. I am not a regular here as I live too far away, however I was desperate for veterinary experience and the team assisted me in my time of need for a kitten. I will definitely be recommending friends that live in this area to come to this vet.

Positive experience: Only downfall is the cost to visit the clinic. Besides that, the staff are fantastic, I received instructions on parking and how to get to the clinic. I received reminders for appointments, and a follow up message from one of the nurses. The vet was very professional, proficient, respectful, patient, engaging and asked questions on how my dog is. Highly recommend, however be prepared for a visit with at least a $100 charge.

Negative experience: My animals were abused by a Vet at this clinic, I diagnosed and had to worm my own animals,8 attempts on one cat,couldn't do a passive 13 yr old cat,grabbed pill did it myself, told me my cats didn't need extra worming because they had nexguard, didn't recognise a tapeworm, was arrogant as,I asked immediately could I see another Vet.None available. I won't put his name in his examination was so rough my cats cried..tried. to charge me double for a blood test....I know how much they cost..recently paid for 4.. blood tests..My cats were traumatised..as was I. My instinct was to grab them and run and I should have..Out of pocket a few hundred to diagnose and treat my own cats,and have them abused. And get attitude..from a Veterinarian.I PAID FOR THIS? My cats will get their blood tests for $200..each..not $450.. and now I have to pay consult again.My regular Vet,who is not local,was able to tell me by email what the weird things were i found on my cats...In an instant....free. Never had this experience before, but this one person,I shan't call him a Vet...I will never go back. .My poor babies.

Fantastic experience: The Southern Cross Veterinary Clinic Concierge service is fantastic. I have used the Concierge service many times for my four cats. It is great value and so convenient. The driver, Marc, has always been on time for pick up and drop off. He greets me with a big beautiful warm smile, and I know my cats are in safe hands with him.

Fantastic experience: The team is exceptional! Took my cavoodle recently for desexing, and from start to finish, they went above and beyond to ensure I was informed at every step. I was especially grateful for the friendly texts and photo updates they sent during the day, which gave me complete peace of mind while I waited. The staff showed genuine care for my dog, which made the entire process reassuring and stress-free. Highly recommended to anyone wanting dedicated and thoughtful veterinary care for their beloved pets.

Fantastic experience: The level of service and care from the Southern Cross Vet team is second to none. They are super attentive, keep you informed of everything and show a real passion for the animals under their care. I can’t recommend them enough!

Negative experience: Overpriced and I felt like the veterinarian was trying to push me to get some tests and exams so the final bill would be even higher.

Fantastic experience: A top experience from the get-go. Phoebe, Dr Eimear and the team were all wonderful in taking their time to provide my dog Indy, a comfortable and calm health check + visit. The place was nicely decorated for Halloween, and the attention to customer (human) comfort in the waiting area is well thought out and curated. Thanks for the exceptional service SCV. I will be back with my other dogs in the future for sure.‍‍‍

Fantastic experience: This vet is the absolute greatest. Our Dog Tyson loves coming here to see his friends. The staff always goes above and beyond in customer service. We recently had the senior check done for Tyson and the staff even texted us photos of him while he was in their care. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend SCV’s pet concierge service. Not only is it convenient and reasonably priced, but it makes sending my dog in for appointments much less stressful for both myself and her. We call Marc the charming concierge as my girl just loves him and is so relaxed going to and from her appointments with him.

Fantastic experience: Great experience, was able to get an appointment quickly, and when it wasn’t at the clinic closest to me they offered their pet concierge service that took me and my pup to the clinic that was far cheaper than an Uber Pets and far more convenient than a GoGet.

Negative experience: Vet was more interested in telling me about breed specific issues and didn’t even listen to what I was trying to tell him. Overpriced and zero care. They think they are the local gp trying to turn over as many patients as possible. Definitely not going back. In response to the reply… we agree that breed specific issues are definitely worth knowing, hence our disappointment when describing symptoms of obstructed, wheezy breathing and shivering, we were told that pugs tend to pant when they are hot and have more trouble breathing, so keep him out of the sun… even after pointing out it was first thing in the morning and he had been in a dark room, not the sun. Maybe it was because our 30 min appointment was only 15 minutes :) We’ve filled out your patient survey.

Fantastic experience: Dr Sam really helped out my little French bulldog chilli. Before any sort of exercise really made it hard for him to breath. After Dr Sam gave chilli his boas surgery he is now a new dog and can run around much better!

Fantastic experience: Our furry baby Mia had laparoscopic desexing (LOVE Spay) almost three weeks ago. I was astounded by the attention and individual centred care she received. You always want your best friend and companion to be treated well and I have to shout out to the team because our little baby who is super anxious just got the best care. Dr. Louis , Nurse Cami and Nurse Cindy and all the others that were involved in her care. We couldn’t be more grateful. Your patience as a team and devotion to caring is paramount. I can’t Thankyou all enough for your ongoing care and patience whether it’s a surgery or accidental illness. I find Mia comfortable and find the staff very well skilled, patient and very caring. Most profound is the one on one care and genuine interest in your mini hooman. Thankyou !!

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend this vet more highly. The care and service they provided for Douglas were outstanding. I really appreciated the communication throughout his procedure — it made the whole experience much less stressful. The aftercare consultation was also excellent. Fantastic experience: I felt the warmth of being family when dropping off Sadie, our cocker spaniel, to get her teeth cleaned. (mini operation for a dog) I was very impressed with the service and regular updates of Sadie’s procedure. And if that wasn’t enough, the price was very reasonable too. I’m going here from now on for all Sadie’s treatments!

Fantastic experience: I visited Southern Cross Vet, St Peter’s at the beginning of the month to have my dog’s (Pippa) teeth cleaned. All the staff were so lovely, friendly and very caring towards Pippa. Throughout the whole visit I was felt like I was fully informed with photos and updates. After she had her teeth cleaned they kept checking in and were very accomodating when I needed to bring her back in because I was worried. I highly recommend this vet and will definitely be coming back!

Negative experience: Diagnosed what ended up being a terminal mast cell cancer in our dog, Alan, as dermatitis and prescribed anti-inflammatory medicines. Later argued that they’d not "diagnosed" anything (despite providing a prescription and charging a consultation fee), then failed to respond further due to Mr Kovac being away on (another) holiday. Overpriced, ineffective and, despite being closest to our home, we haven’t been back. You’ll find many in the area feel the same.

Fantastic experience: Chloe is my 18yo cat & has never been boarded. She spent 4 nights with SCVC & the level of care for her was outstanding. Dr Louie, Nurse Cindy & the team kept me informed every day by text & sending me photos. As she wasn’t eating etc they offered a course of action to help her. They even set up a lovely room for her to stay in & they spent time with her. I was so anxious as renovations were being delayed etc. but knew she was in the great hands. The best team. The best Vet. The best humans - caring, compassionate & so kind. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Lovely vet clinic. Strongly recommend. I have been here twice since getting my cat a year ago and both times it has been a seamless and pleasant experience. Dr Louis White was very friendly, thorough and attentive, as are the lovely reception staff. The prices are super reasonable compared to other vets in the area, but that by no means affects the quality of care. Making an appointment is easy, payment is easy, and they offer a pet concierge service! Marc the pet concierge is a legend, very kind and effusive personality, and makes getting to and from the vet so easy! Especially if you don’t have a car (like me) and have a pet that is freaked out by leaving the house (like my cat…. also me). thanks guys! PS. Shout out to Pippin, the beautiful reception doggo

Fantastic experience: This veterinary clinic is awesome. They looked after our dog Chief perfectly. Their services are so good and they go above and beyond to give you the help you need. I want to mention that Yuko and Mohammad were very comforting and helpful on the home visit for our dog. We are very happy with all the people from the clinic that were looking after our dog, from the receptionists to the doctors and everybody involve in looking after our lovely Chief. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: We had a super scary situation with our girl and HGE, I called panicked and they fit us in. Not only was Dr. Louis great with our dog, he was great with us, his level of empathy and kindness is not to be forgotten. Unfortunately, we had to weigh the cost vs the options - something no pet parent wants to do, however Dr. Louis was conscious of this and made us feel comfortable with our choices and the price was always reasonable. We also called for advice multiple times and it never felt like an inconvenience. Our girl is now happy and healthy, and while it was our first time with Southern Cross, we are now going to make them our primary as the care and compassion was perfect! Thank you!

Negative experience: In my experience, these people couldn't care less. First appointment of the day? Start 15 minutes late. Half interested assessments of pets leading to eye watering care bills, but still no indication of what was wrong. I got told my pet had years to live, 4 weeks later, gone.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend southern cross St Peter’s. Recently took my dog for a teeth cleaning under anaesthesia. They updated me with photos during the day and I really felt she was in good hands. Then she was sent home with a new toy :)

Fantastic experience: I can not praise these guys highly enough. The very 1st time we took our beautiful Buku to St Peters I was lucky enough to get Louis - their surgeon. He was just incredible. He cared so much. After each appointment there'd be a txt the next day to see how she was doing. Also there never seemed to be a "well your times up kind if rush" even if it was a phone call to query a new issue for which we weren't being charged. I SIMPLY COULD NOT PRAISE THESE GUYS HIGH ENOUGH. THANKYOU LOUIS AND YOUR TEAM FOR THE MOST COMPASSIONATE, CARING TEAM I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED. Fantastic experience: I've recently started taking my dog to Southern Cross Vets Inner West - and couldn't be happier with them. The premises are pleasant and spacious and there's easy parking until 3pm. The reception staff are friendly and helpful and everyone seems enjoy being there. We have seen Dr Ann and Dr Louis and both were fantastic. They both have an excellent manner with my dog and explained things really clearly. I have found them to be extremely thorough and provide a range of diagnosis and treatment options and take a sensible approach. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had to make an emergency appointment last minute and they managed to squeeze me in. The appointment itself was great, Dr Louie was very kind and really took his time with my kitten. My kitten hates males but he was so chill with Dr Louie, I was quite surprised. I don't live super close but I will definitely be keeping here as my regular vet. Everyone that worked there were so kind and friendly. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to SCV St Peters for nearly 3 years and the whole team is outstanding. Every vet we have seen (including Dr Sam who we have had a number of telehealth appointments with) has been understanding, knowledgeable and treats our greyhound like their own. They even managed to squeeze our girl in today (on a Saturday) for an emergency appointment when she had a little accident. From the front desk, to the nurses to the dogtors, the whole team is amazing. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Negative experience: Ok - unfortunately, I need to update this review and considerably lower my rating. Firstly, I want to confirm just how incredible the staff are here. I don't believe you can fake the perceived genuine love of animals I have routinely seen from the staff. They are kind, and my cat who has a strong propensity for violence, is always calm, and seems to like the veterinarians enough not to draw their blood. The problem: I understand that if you purchase medication directly from a vet, it will cost a little more than the price online.  But Southern Cross takes this to an ENTIRELY NEW LEVEL! I took my cat here to get an updated script for her condition, where they charged me $44 for the script with one month repeat (it should be at least 6-12 months), and over $70 for 9 days worth of medication (9 days). For perspective, I can get 120 days worth of this medication online for $98. That means Southern Cross Vet charges 852.4% above the online price, AND expects you to return every two months for a new prescription AND wants you to purchase medication through them at prices that I believe are beyond reasonable. So, if I was to get all of the medicine through Southern Cross, it would cost me about $2839 per year, versus only around $298 buying online. READ THAT AGAIN! For the record, I have received scripts with longer repeats from here in the past, however their policies have obviously changed. If you're happy to pay over $2500 a year EXTRA on something like pet medication, please let me know in the comments... Go ahead, I'll wait. When questioned about all this, the staff simply say 'its our policy and the centre offers very little  when pushed about the apparent price gauging. There is plenty of free parking available out the front. *This review is based on my own experience

Negative experience: This veterinary clinic is awful.... we have had multiple bad experiences but kept going back due to the location. The actual vets seem to be good but the way they run their practice is abysmal. Their practice manager is awful to deal with. Won't call you back, isn't understanding and only seems to care about money. Every time we have gone there they have new rules that they seem to make up depending on how it can benefit them. Our cat has needed anxiety medication ever since our kids were born. We tried so many versions but each one the vet suggested was so far beyond our budget (they were quoting us over $100 a month and they never suggested any alternatives on how we can save money. Eventually we were given advice (by someone else) to get a script and then order it online at a Pet Chemist. Of course we understand that Southern Cross Vets need to make money when giving us scripts but every time we saw them we were told different rules. New costs, new processes etc. The last time we went it was the final straw. They charged us $70 for an appointment to see our cat for 5 minutes (despite it just being a repeat of a script we have had for 3 years), then charged $45 for the script (to cover the costs involved in printing the piece of paper apparently), they gave us a script for only one month (saying they couldn't give more than one month despite doing 6-9 months at a time previously) and because we had run out of medication and our cat was in distress they charged us $70 for 9 tablets to use while we waited for our online order to arrive. Normally we pay $98 for 120 tablets online.... The mark up is absolutely disgusting. We spoke to the practice manager Clare who gave not a single care about this gross money grab. The change in rules and inconsistent processes is one thing but to mark up medication by such a huge degree is honestly shocking. We showed evidence of this extreme mark up but they refused to show any flexibility or understanding as to how this last visit played out. The worst part is when I questioned the cost of it all, the practice manager had the gawl to say technically we got a discount because they forgot to charge us the weekend surcharge and said your welcome. I hate leaving this review as I know vets are often such wonderful people but my husband and I have been so dissatisfied by this vet on so many occasions.

Fantastic experience: I can’t thank Sam and his team at southern cross vets enough. They truly do go above and beyond. We sent our corgi PIña in for a teeth clean. The week leading up she stopped eating and Sam was so reassuring and responsive on options. On the day they kept us updated all the way through. We are on the northern beaches and they provided a safe, comfortable and stress free transport for our generally anxious dog from our home to their practice. (A big thankyou to Mark - the driver). We received photo updates, rational and reasonable advice for diagnostics and advice on food once she came home. We felt they really cared for pina and were providing options in her best interest. We feel very lucky to have found the team at southern cross vets.

Negative experience: Took my cat in for a health check as he was frequently going to the litter but barely producing urine. Dr Tony was very kind and helped diagnose the issue. The clinic always sends a follow up text asking about your pet's health and says to reach out if any further concerns. So when my cat starts peeing blood a few days later, I get in contact with the clinic. The receptionist suggests to come in and pick up a urine sample kit. They do not mention anything about costs for the kit until I'm already standing at the front desk. After paying for the kit, we find out they've run out of stock so I was given an alternative method to collecting a urine sample. I was also not advised on how much sample to take to make it sufficient enough to run tests. Went home, tried to collect as much as I can (reminder: my cat has barely been urinating anything more than a few drops). Came back to the clinic with a small amount of sample and the receptionist tells me it's not enough. They take my jar, hand me a new empty jar and insist to "just try" and get more sample because other owners bring back at least half a jar's worth. My cat is not peeing much so how is this possible? I went home and just couldn't get any more. I rang up the clinic to ask if any tests could still be done with the amount of urine sample I gave - the person over the phone says yes they can start the initial tests. My partner calls up the clinic to double check on the next steps and they're told that the urine sample I had given, had already been thrown out because they thought I was going to come back with more. Why?? It seems that they do not listen when you say "my cat is barely peeing". At this point I'd already given up - there's been so much miscommunication and lack of transparency. How was I ever going to come back with more sample when again - he's peeing a few droplets at a time! I ended up taking my cat to a different vet clinic for a proper assessment. I'll know next time to just book the earliest appointment to see a vet, rather than take the advice of a receptionist. This isn't my first negative experience with the clinic. 5 years ago (April 2020) our dog got into an accident which ended up being fatal. The clinic wouldn't accept us coming in because it was close to closing hours on a weekend and that they were too busy. We were told to go to a different emergency vet. I won't be coming back to Southern Cross.

Fantastic experience: Thank you so much for everything you did to help my sweet Charlie boy. He passed peacefully at home. I just wanted to say a big thank you to Dr Stephanie who we saw on Saturday morning. Thank you for ensuring Charlie was comfortable with strong pain relief. It made his final hours more peaceful.

Negative experience: I had such a disappointing experience on my last visit. I took my bulldog for a visit, it was a service for 30$ (paid in advance), but turned out he had flees. So I also got the flee treatment for him at the reception, which was $90. As we also have 2 cats at home, I asked if I get the treatment for the cats as well, getting 1 pack with 2 treatments. I was charged a total of $300 at the end. It’s seemed steep, but as I had my toddler with me, I paid and left. Once I opened the invoice at home and googled the cat medicine online, I realised that they have changed me $175 for the cat treatment that online costs anywhere between $35 and $80. So I emailed and said I would like to return it as I have not opened it. I was told it’s medication and can’t be returned; sorry for the inconvenience and merry Christmas. I then asked to refund me the overcharged amount based on the average market price, but was again told it was not possible. Look, I understand that there would be some mark up for the convenience, but that is just a rip off. I wish I could just go to a vet and trust, and don’t have to look around if I’m being treated fairly. It instantly makes me question whether the one hour eye lift surgery for my bulldog for which we paid $4000+ was a reasonable price too. I emailed Sam too, as I got an automated email, asking for a review but did not hear back. So here I am, leaving my 2nd review on Google ever. Just such a bad aftertaste. Honestly, never coming back.

Fantastic experience: My cat recently was ill and we went to Southern Cross Vets. The service was amazing and caring. We had to put my darling little Costello down today. Dr Lois is amazing - so patient, empatetic and all the staff are just wonderful. I hightly recommend! They are a bit exe though!

Fantastic experience: I recently visited Dr. Ann with my cat, Channel, and I couldn’t be more grateful for her care. Dr. Anna was incredibly kind and patient during the examination, making Channel feel at ease. She quickly diagnosed the issue and prescribed antibiotics, which have already started to make a difference. Her gentle approach and clear communication made the whole process stress-free. Fantastic experience: I can’t thank the team at Southern Cross St Peters enough for the amazing care they gave my cat, Fury. The clinic has such a warm and welcoming environment. A special shoutout to Paige, Cindy and Mariana, who were absolutely fantastic. They explained everything about Fury’s surgery so clearly and made sure I felt comfortable with every step - the procedure, the clinic logistics and the after care. They even gave me constant updates about him during the day, which made me feel very safe. The way they handled Fury was so gentle and kind, I could tell he was in the best hands.

Fantastic experience: I Blossom, wish to thank the staff at St Peters for treating me kindly when I had dental work recently. I now have pearly white teeth .Whilst I had to have a few extracted ,I am 15 years old after all, I am back to my lively self .The aftercare was comforting for my two owners as I was given a clean bill of health. Fantastic experience: Thank you for the amazing job on our cavoodle puppies who underwent laparoscopic ovariectomies performed by Dr Tony - the surgery went well, recovery was quick and pain-free for the puppies and the incision sites have healed so well! We have been delighted with everything from the reception staff, nurses who monitored and care for our puppies, communication (via sms) pre-post surgery + recovery. Highly recommend!!! Fantastic experience: I took my greyhound Elly to the Bellevue Hill clinic for her heartworm injection and it was a great experience for both of us. Elly is shy meeting new people and the vet nurses at the front desk were lovely to her. Elly saw Dr Ann and she was wonderful with her, she put Elly at ease with pats, treats and talking to her. Dr Ann took her time with her, the appointment was not rushed and Elly felt very relaxed. She wagged her tail as the injection went in whilst eating treats. Dr Ann is an excellent vet she really cares, Elly had a great time.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend southern cross enough. My rescue jack Russell needs time to gain his trust and every single member of staff has always been so gentle and given him time and space to gain his trust. We never feel rushed and always leave happy, and always get a follow up text the next day just to check in. My dog went for a routine teeth cleaning today and I was sent update texts and calls throughout it so I knew he was ok, and he even came home with a new toy from them. The staff all take their time to explain things to us and really genuinely listen and help. I have only positive things to say about these guys - they always go above and beyond!

Fantastic experience: Dr Sam & I have had a long relationship dating back over 13 years. I met Sam when I found myself with a dog no one wanted. Sam was my saviour. His one goal was treating my dog & me with quality care & kindness. Money was never his objective. As he established himself in a practice at St Peters, I followed him, as did many other loyal clients. Dr Sam & the St Peter’s Clinic helped me anytime my dog had an emergency issue needing instant assessment any time of night or day, whenever I found a dead animal needing identification, a stray needing to find an owner & even with friends struggling financially whose pets required treatment. Dr Sam & his team have always excelled in caring for all creatures great & small & are heavily invested in giving back to the community. 5 star service at all times.

Negative experience: Our experience with SCV happened years ago, but we're still regularly struggling with the consequences. My dog was traumatised at SCV, and his ongoing care has been badly affected because of it. SCV wasn't our regular vet, but when our dog badly gored himself as a youngster at Sydney Park, we opted to bring him there, as it was literally a few hundred metres away. On one hand, the wound healed fine after surgery. On the other, he couldn't wait to leave the place, practically dragging us to the car. Since then - literally EVERY SINGLE TIME since then - he's so scared at the vet that he can barely be examined or treated without sedation. This happens at his normal vet and at two other vets we had to visit in an emergency, over the past few years. This absolutely was not the case prior to him being treated at SCV. I'm writing this review advisedly, as I've read the replies to bad reviews, where SCV appears to think they have some right to publish your animal's entire vet history on Google, like publishing a ton of details exonerates them from the complaint. Instead, it speaks volumes about the lack of respect they have for customers and their pets.

Negative experience: Never have I experienced a management system so awful and unprofessional. I have been a long term client with this clinic as it's close proximity to my building, although after my most recent visit and hearing disgusting comments through the door. I am no longer going to return. Not only did I hear belittling comments regarding the staff, but immature remarks, scoffs, and passive comments. I can see why they have a frequent turn over of staff with what seems like a extremely unsupportive management team. Recently it feels like every visit I am met with a different vet. I have tried to look past this behavior for some time, as the vet care I have received in the past has been nothing but amazing. Although I cannot continue to support such horrible ethics that has been created by their so called manager and owner. I have come across multiple facebook posts within my local community detailing the money hungry things he does, and his ill care towards his patients. I have no doubt that care perhaps was once there, but to what I can see, it is no longer. If you had any brain cells, the inappropriate images and trump posts on the owners facebook page, should be a HUGE red flag. Do not trust these people.

Fantastic experience: I recently took my French bulldog, Leeroy, to Southern Cross Vet Clinic after he had a freak accident where he scratched his cornea with his own claw. The injury was severe, and the team at Southern Cross Vet Clinic recommended removing his eye to prevent further complications. They understood how distressing the situation was and took the time to explain every detail of the procedure, ensuring I felt comfortable and informed. Dr. Sam and the entire surgical team were incredibly professional, and their expertise was evident throughout the process. The surgery itself went smoothly, and Leeroy was back to his playful self much sooner than I expected. The clinic provided detailed aftercare instructions, and they were always available to answer my questions during Leeroy's recovery. I'm extremely grateful for the exceptional care Leeroy received at Southern Cross Vet Clinic. The entire team went above and beyond to ensure for my boy Leeroy. I highly recommend Southern Cross Vet Clinic to any pet parent in need of veterinary care. They truly treat your pets like family.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, we didn’t have a good experience at this vet. We came on a Sunday for our puppy’s ear and eye infection. The receptionist didn’t seem happy to be there and the vet (Dr Yuko) seemed inexperienced and disinterested. He didn’t even clean our dog’s ear and wouldn’t show us how to apply the ear medicine because we had to clean it ourselves at home (I’ve never experienced this at a vet before). 2 weeks has passed and my dog still has his ear and eye infections, and we’ve had to return to our usual vet, who was much more thorough and had a different diagnosis. We were open to signing up to this vet for our puppy’s lifetime as it’s close to us, but sadly, it’s not for us.

Fantastic experience: This is my second time to visit this vet. For both times, they offered effective treatments to my ragdoll and were very caring during our visits. The follow ups are also quite considerate, which differentiate you from other vets. The whole process makes me feel that they truly care about animals. The fee is reasonable! Great experience. Fantastic experience: I left my two cats with Souther Cross at Surry Hills for 4 weeks while I visited my family overseas. I have never been happier with a cat boarding service. They picked my cats up which made the departure much easier. The cats were looked after well in comfortable quarters. Everyday I got text updates with photos and videos, telling me how the cats were settling and progressing. I could see the cats resting, exploring the boarding facility and cat play equipment, , and getting affectionate pets and scratches from the cat carers. I felt the cats were being very well cared for and that made my time away so much more relaxing. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending southern cross or in using them again. A big thank you from me

Fantastic experience: I cannot rate the Southern Cross Vet Clinics highly enough. They are staffed by people who not just "care for" animals but truly love each one of them on an individual basis. The solutions are reached in consultation taking in both owners' & pet's needs and it is great to see my Frenchie arrive at the front gate begging to be let in instead of shivering in fear / trying to run in the opposite direction.

Fantastic experience: My 6 year old cavoodle has been going to Southern Cross Vet since he was a puppy. Can't fault this place. They really care for animals. The service and care has been consistent since day one. My dog had to go in for a teeth scale and polish and they kept me up to date pre and post treatment. They know how to manage anxious owners. After every visit they follow up with a text to see how my dog is doing. My GP doesn't do that!. We are no longer local but would not go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Our Japanese Spitz, Kumo, turns three next month and we have been going to Southern Cross vets since he was 4 weeks old. I couldn’t tell you what the competition is like, but I can tell you that the service at Southern Cross is amazing. All the staff are totally professional, trustworthy and so, so caring. Today he needed an anaesthetic for a dental check and clean. We had progress reports throughout the day and now he’s home we just had a txt at 9:00pm checking on how he was going. He’s a bit sleepy now, but we did catch a glimpse of his pearly white doggy grin before he crashed. Thank you, Southern Cross!

Fantastic experience: I took my cat, Ember, in last Thursday for a last minute night time appointment with what I thought might have been an injury. She was treated with pain relief but had some bloods taken just in case. I was to take her home and see how she went, and bring her back the next day for another review if the pain relief didn't work. Her doctor called not long after to let me know there were very concerning levels in her bloods that indicated issues with her kidneys. I was advised to take her to one of the local 24/7 animal hospitals, where over the course of the next day and some more investigations we found her kidney issue was quite severe. I made the difficult decision to put her to sleep after the options given weren't all that favourable for her. I got the reminder for her follow-up appointment with SCV the next day, and I phoned to cancel this appointment advising them that my girl was gone. They kindly sent me some flowers today, and I'm so touched by this gesture. I will always return to SCV with my other fur baby, Neo. Thank you for caring for my girl!

Fantastic experience: I choose Southercross as Dr Sam invests in his surgery technology. My 7-year-old pug Aqua came home after 100 minutes of dental work under anaesthetic without a nightmare. He slept all the way through and got back to normal within 48 hours. Two free checking sessions post-surgery were the assurance of care from Dr Sam's clinic principal. Moreover, no issue with insurance claims. Thank You, Dr Sam, for providing an excellent Vet Clinic Service.

Fantastic experience: This veterinary clinic offers such an incredible service! As somebody who doesn’t drive, I greatly appreciated having the option of booking a concierge. I was provided with text/call updates, and the lovely concierge Marc made our trip stress-free, and provided the perfect captive audience for all my cat stories! And my cat certainly enjoyed having a chauffeur, because she is such a fancy old lady! Thank you so much to Dr. Tony for his thorough explanation of all the options to manage my cat’s food-begging, and thank you also to the lovely vet nurse who helped make her blood test so easy for her! I also attended this clinic a few months back for a couple of late-night emergency visits, and my cat’s issues were quickly identified and treated. Fantastic experience: I have been seeing the team at SCV for about 3 years now, and even though I moved out of the area I haven't changed my vet. I only trust the team at SCV when it comes to my cat. Recently my little girl Lailah was unwell and the team at SCV (both at Surry Hills and st Peters) were amazing. She loves Dr Edmund and this time she was under the care with dr Louis. I also love their concerige service - Mark is great with pets and he picks her and drops her off as I don't have a car so it's really helpful to have this service. I cannot recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend Southern Cross Vet enough. Our frenchie recently had four operations in one, including BOAS surgery. Dr Sam and the team were amazing through the whole process. They talked us through the entire procedure, giving us updates before, during and after the operation, putting us at ease. Afterwards, Dr Sam was available at all hours to answer any questions or worries we had and followed up with us regularly for the weeks post op, including two face to face check ups. The whole team at Southern Cross are so friendly and always go the extra mile to help in any way they can. Mark is also amazing, collecting our pup for his appointments and dropping him back again. We can’t thank them all enough!

Fantastic experience: We rushed into Southern Cross Vet St Peters on a Sunday afternoon 3pm with a complicated emergency case. Dr.Julian took us for a very detailed consultation, making sure our fur baby is under correct treatmdnt, and helped us make contact with surgeons. At 7pm Sunday night he called us and gave updates for the surgeon. The next day Dr.Julian went above and beyond contacting us on his day-off to follow up if we have all the information and resources that we need. We feel Dr.Julian is very dedicated & professional, and most importantly, truly care about our pets. Reception team is also very caring and helpful, giving us a warm-feeling experiences with SCV. Highly recommend to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Southern cross vet is wonderful. I worked with Dr. Paul when my dog had a weird abscess on her paw. After initial home remedies it didn’t heal so we went to surgical removal and biopsy. From pick up to drop off the process was not only simple, the communication was brilliant. They let me know of my dogs arrival, her time of anaesthesia, recovery and time of departure. She was dropped home by the lovely chauffeur. With a bag of medications, a beautiful toy and recovery instructions. Our follow up visits were very insightful and gave us so much peace of mind. Dr Paul went above and beyond to call me at 6pm to tell me the good news about the biopsy on a Friday so we wouldn’t have to wait all weekend. I greatly appreciate that. If you’re looking for a vet Southern Cross and Dr Paul are our choice.

Fantastic experience: Had our cat vaccinated and a flea, worm and tick treatment at Southern Cross today. They offer a pick up and drop off service for pets which is very convenient. The driver Marc was excellent, he kept us up to date when arriving to pick up our cat and when dropping her off. Thank you Marc! Fantastic experience: I would like to say a huge thank you for the care and compassion shown to our family dog on Sunday night, I have never in all my year’s of being a dog owner come across a more wonderful vet service. The young receptionist was so polite and friendly to my 2 daughter’s and myself, and the Vet who attended to our dog was amazing such a kind natured man, the lady Vet was also very kind the price was very reasonable compared to all the other vet’s I called before finding this vet.
