Fantastic experience: Amazing team of vets and nurses. Your pet is in safe hands at Concord. Trustworthy and honest advice. **Finally used the cattery for a long stay. Was a bit nervous to leave my cat for an extended period but I did feel it was the safest option in my case & I’m glad I did. My cat was well cared for and played with etc. He came home happy and settled back quickly into usual routine.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough wonderful things about this veterinary practice, especially Dr. David. Over the years, I’ve cared for many rescue cats with complex medical needs, and time and again, Dr. David has been an absolute lifeline. His depth of knowledge, patience, and unwavering dedication have made all the difference. What sets Dr. David apart isn’t just his medical expertise, but the time and genuine care he puts into every case. He never rushes a diagnosis, always talks through options, writing them out on the little whiteboard, and explains everything so clearly. I always leave feeling hopeful, which is sometimes just as important as the medical intervention. When we had to say goodbye to one of our beloved cats, the compassion shown was unforgettable. Dr. David made sure she was his focus, we waited out in the car park crying, (not fit for public), and he bought her out to the car, beautifully wrapped up. A card and flowers arrived a week later. We are so grateful to the whole Concord Vet team & highly recommended the practice to anyone who wants the very best for their animal family.

Negative experience: I recently had to put down my dog at Concord Vet and organised his aftercare for cremation through them. I was assured he would be looked after. A week passed with no updates for pick up, so I called the practice. The staff told me the crematory had a backlog that week so was delayed. I later found out I was lied to, and that they hadn't arrange for pickup with the crematory - for 9 days! This sickens me, sickens me immensely. Regardless of the reason for the stuff up, the fact no one had bothered to check or follow up why my dog was still there upsets me the most. When I called multiple times to check if he had come back, they told me they had to check in the "corridor" because he would be left there if dropped off, as if he were a piece of junk mail. The negligence and lack of duty of care is unacceptable and very upsetting. Further to that, in the process of saying our final goodbyes, their staff came in to ask for payment. My dog was sedated at the time and the vet had just left the room to give us a few precious last minutes to say our final goodbye. I was bawling my eyes out, and the staff came in with a POS machine requesting I settle the bill there and then. I was sitting on the floor with my boy lying unconscious in one arm and she saw me in tears fumbling with my other arm to get my card from my bag. Any person with any empathy would have understood how insensitive and inappropriate that was. This occurred despite me offering to settle everything over the phone earlier but was told to come in for payment. I've spoken to the owner Dr David who I respected and trusted, letting him know how upsetting the entire experience had been with the hope that it will be addressed so no one will be put in that position again - he assured me he will. I have been with him since my dog was a puppy but this last send off honestly felt like a betrayal, a kick in the gut. Despite time passing, I still feel nauseous thinking about how my dog was left in his freezer forgotten for 9 days, like an afterthought under his care. He knew how important my dog was to me, like how his dear Charli was to him. It still brings me to tears and I regret putting my trust in Concord Vet that day as they have let me down. I've debated whether to post this review as it won't reverse what had happened or bring me closure. But I want to make this 1 star review a reminder for them that this is not acceptable and hold them accountable for making damn sure no one else posts a review with the same experience ever again. I can see your glowing reviews, but be accountable for the ones where you truly screwed up, no excuses and do better!

Fantastic experience: A huge thank you to Dr David and the team at Concord Vets for helping care for my wee dog, Hiro. They have been fantastic in providing care for his neurological condition and food allergies. And in providing support for us both in his (and mine ;) resulting behavioral conditions. He has gone from being a very ill dog, to healthy but not wanting to be touched and biting. To now snuggling on the couch at night and asking for scratches. I cannot thank them enough!

Negative experience: Terribly disappointed. I had an issue and did the right thing phoned them, and also emailed them twice before posting this. No response what so ever and my dog has been going there for 12 years. My little dog was due for his annual vaccinations. . A very young Vet said his heart murmur he had since birth had really got worse and she needed to do blood tests and X-rays. An addition $1000. At the end of this she said he had an enlarged heart and a mass near his heart and needed to see a cardiologist urgently for an ultrasound and management Obviously I have been very worried and stressed. Off we go to the cardiologist yesterday, another $1500 to be told absolutely nothing wrong, heart not enlarged, no mass, slight murmur common with cavoodles, no mediation required. They also reviewed the X-rays the vet sent and nothing there of any concern. So with everything close to $3000 for no good reason. Vet obviously not experienced enough to read X-rays. Bad diagnosis, suggested procedures that were not warranted nor necessary and stressful for the dog unnecessarily. Will certainly not be going back and want to warn others to get a second opinion before you have to pay for possibly unnecessary procedures, Update Finally heard back from the owner of the business. Very condescending, no empathy or any concern for the mis diagnosis by one of his staff members. He did confirm he had spoken to the cardiologist which meant what I was told by her was confirmed. No apology for mis diagnosis and procedures not required, no offer of any sort of compensation, told me to go and complain to the Veterinary Practitioners board if I wanted to, Also told me in no uncertain term I personally was not entitled to Baileys records and he would only send them to another Vet. ( I guess he mentioned this in case the practitioners board wanted me to send a copy) 12 years a client at this business, spent thousands of dollars over the years and this is how the owner values his customers,

Fantastic experience: We couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible care our dog Rocky has received at Concord Vet. Dr David went above and beyond to get to the bottom of a tricky diagnosis, keeping us informed every step of the way and showing real compassion for both Rocky and us. The whole team is professional, kind, and clearly passionate about what they do. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: We’re incredibly grateful to Dr. David and the amazing team for taking such great care of our 3-month-old puppy. When we adopted him, we found out his leg had been broken long before he came to us, and sadly, it couldn’t be saved. Dr. David performed the amputation surgery with great skill and care. The whole team made a difficult situation so much easier for us—kind, professional, compassionate and clearly passionate about animals. Our puppy is now recovering well, full of energy, and already adjusting to life on three legs. We can’t thank Dr. David and the team enough for giving him a second chance at a happy and pain-free life.

Fantastic experience: The most amazing vets and practice! Dr David and Dr Rebecca have been treating my dogs for 10 years so this review is long overdue. I was a vet tech in a huge practice for 6 years and so I have a very high bar. After trying a few vets closer to home I was quickly reminded how amazing Concord Vets are. They have particularly been amazing dealing with my dogs as they got older. I adopted a 10 year old kelpie and quickly realised he had kidney problems. They diagnosed him found the right specialist to confirm and made sure we didn’t go broke there doing only what was going to make a difference. Then they managed his kidneys and 3 years later his arthritis and unbelievably he lived almost 7 more happy healthy years! That dog didn’t have a snowballs chance when I adopted him so I’m so grateful. Now my other dog is old and I can’t imagine choosing anyone else to manage this stage of his life. You guys are amazing!

Negative experience: I would not take a small dog there. Too roughly handled. My dog's vet retired so I was looking for a new one and never has he run out of a clinic or wanted to go in the second time.

Fantastic experience: My cat - Summer had her annual vaccination and worming done at the hospital this morning. In addition, she also underwent checks for issues such as diarrhoea. The vet, Natalie, was kind, patient and thorough with her work. The front reception staff were kind and diligent all the way through. I would recommend this hospital to all my family and friends.

Fantastic experience: When you hold your 2 x pets (sisters) in your arms after raising them from a bottle for 20 years all you want is for the Veterinary Doctor to care. I will never forget what David did for my pets. He went above and beyond the call of duty to give me a few more years with them. They needed to be euthanasia, and that would have been any other Veterinary Doctors decision and easy way out. But David opted to try a new procedure for me that Rebecca and himself would perform. I gave him my blessing and prayed with all my heart. I didn’t care what they looked like after surgery as everything grows back. I just wanted them alive. I was blessed with a few more years and I have never ever been more grateful. I have never nor will I ever change Veterinary Doctors. David and Rebecca and all the staff work from their hearts as if the pets were their own. From the bottom of my heart thank you David, Rebecca and all your staff. You have won me for life no matter what. You are worth the wait.

Fantastic experience: I have been bringing my pets here for as long as I can remember. The team here are so lovely and incredibly supportive and talented, they all strive to help others and there level of care for animals is very clear and unique. David Hughes has been looking after my animals for a long time, he is the only veterinarian I trust with my pets. He has such a kind heart and his level of compassion is indescribable. Negative experience: Just another money grabbing vet. Do consult, testing and waste time just to diagnose same issues as first visit. Waste 2hrs of my time and few hundred $$$. Never going back. Don’t reply with your petty sorry. Just a greedy place

Positive experience: Had a very disappointing experience with this vet. My cat was burned by hot water, and I rushed her to the vet after noticing some areas where her fur had completely fallen out. Despite this, the nurse checked her twice and insisted she was fine, offering no treatment or advice. By the following evening, I discovered several red spots on her skin —— Hi Dr.David, Thank you for your response, and I’m happy to share that my cat has fully recovered. I really appreciate your follow up on this. However, I’d like to share my perspective on what I experienced that day. I understand that it can be challenging to assess burns immediately, whether for cats or humans—I’ve been burned by hot water myself before. When I asked the nurse to check for any red spots on my cat, I was told there weren’t any and that her fur had protected her. I was also advised to take her home for monitoring. I do acknowledge that you offered to have a consultation, but I was also told that having a consultation was an option only if I was very worried. Based on the impression that her fur had protected her well, I decided to take her home. Thank you again for your follow-up. Thanks, Ao

Negative experience: The Concord Vets we’ve been visiting for 8 years now. Yesterday, I arrived around 3:30 PM, just as the afternoon consultation hours were starting. There was an unusually large number of people waiting, and I was told it would take 2 hours to be seen. As far as I know, this clinic does not take appointments. I understand that consultations are conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, but I couldn’t help feeling that it might be more efficient if appointments were allowed. After waiting for 3 hours, my dog was finally seen by the vet. However, when it came time to pay, I was disappointed again. Normally, the staff processes the insurance claim on the spot and I only pay the gap charge. But this time, perhaps because the staff seemed exhausted, I was told to pay the full amount upfront, and they would handle the insurance claim later. Both my pet and I were completely drained from the long wait, and my dog was unwell throughout the night. While I understand that this clinic is very popular and offers excellent care, I feel that some measures should be taken to manage the heavy workload more efficiently. Otherwise, even the veterinarians might struggle to provide proper care under such stressful conditions. In my experience, if you plan to visit this clinic, it’s best to arrive as early as 8:00 AM or at 2:00 PM to get seen during the morning or afternoon sessions. It was truly an exhausting day for both me and my dog.

Fantastic experience: We cannot thank the team at Concord Veterinary Hospital - David, Jasmine, Natasha and Kate enough for their incredible care and support in helping our dog, Luna, recover from a challenging UTI. From the very beginning, it was clear that they were not only skilled professionals but also compassionate and understanding, especially given the emotional and financial stress we were going through. Luna's treatment required a lot but the team worked with us every step of the way. We were understandably overwhelmed, but David, one of the vets & owners at CVH went above and beyond to ensure there was a compromise that worked for us, while still prioritising Luna’s recovery. What really stood out was the communication. David made sure to keep us fully informed through detailed emails that outlined our options with clear examples and explanations of different approaches. His thoughtful responses and willingness to discuss different treatment strategies gave us a huge sense of reassurance during such a stressful time. We truly felt like we were part of the decision-making process, which made all the difference. Thanks to their expert care and the team's commitment to finding a balanced approach, Luna is now healthy & happy. Fantastic experience: Dr Bronte, as well as the staff on desk were amazing. We were seen promptly on a Saturday, and Dr Bronte was kind, competent and thorough. Highly recommend.

Positive experience: Very disappointed with my recent experience. I arrived at the hospital at the exact time requested by the nurse, but ended up waiting an additional two hours before we were seen. I hope the hospital can better respect clients’ time and improve service efficiency to avoid such dissatisfaction. It seems that the one-star rating has put a lot of pressure on the hospital, so I changed it to three stars, and I hope the hospital can seriously think about how to optimize the problems I mentioned.

Fantastic experience: Many people are sceptical about vets and how they charge, however Dr Hughes is different - you are getting 5 star service, knowledge and experience, we wouldn’t put our trust in anyone else after this experience. He was v genuine, assessed Apples and gave a thorough rundown of the treatment plan, and all done with lots of personality. He genuinely loves animals, it’s not just a job. Negative experience: I’m extremely disappointed with the service at Concord Veterinary hospital. They informed us the waiting time was over a hour yet we were kept waiting for over two hours. To make matters worse, other clients who arrived after us were seen before us. This was not only frustrating but also showed a complete lack of respect for our time and the urgency of my dog’s condition.

Fantastic experience: The vets who saw my poor unwell and very elderly cat were all so wonderful. They all knew what they were doing and were super kind, caring, loved animals and had a great sense of judgement. They took the time to help me and my cat at the hardest time of his life. Huge recommend.

Fantastic experience: My cat passed away last week, but I feel very fortunate to have encountered this hospital. I am deeply grateful to all the veterinarians and nurses who cared for my cat, especially Jasmine and the others whose names I regretfully cannot remember. They provided us with honest advice and endless compassion during my cat’s final moments. Jasmine is a kind, rational, and thoughtful veterinarian, dedicated and responsible in her work. Knowing my cat spent her last moments in this hospital, surrounded by such caring professionals, brings me great comfort and solace.

Fantastic experience: I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care provided by David and the team. My cat's health took a sudden downturn, and despite exhaustive investigations elsewhere, the issue remained elusive. David's expertise shone through as he swiftly diagnosed an inflamed gum, a condition missed by others. His dedication to ensuring my peace of mind was unparalleled, as he patiently explained his reasoning and compared test results in detail. Within a week, my cat underwent successful dental surgery, and thanks to David's high ethical standards and genuine love for animals, he's now back to his happy, healthy self. I wholeheartedly recommend David and the team for their exceptional care and expertise.

Negative experience: Asked the vet team to clip the back end fur on bottom area of my puppy as it was a little matted. They ended up cutting his skin just under the tail and was in pain for days crying and barking. Even when I took him back to check the next day they not let me know there was a cut and I only noticed it a few days later when he was still in discomfort. Really poor error especially for such a simple task. Really disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I was going over emails between David and myself from years ago, when he was looking after me and my precious soul cat, Aphra, who was terminally ill. David was very kind and empathetic and I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants a vet who genuinely cares.

Fantastic experience: Concord veterinary hospital is fantastic. All staff are kind, knowledgeable, experienced and supportive. They offer excellent care with clear explanations. You might wait a while but that's because so many know and trust them, so they're always busy. Would always recommend them to any pet owner.

Negative experience: This vet put my cat in danger and carelessly allowed a stranger to bring my outdoor cat to the vet and take medication home with her and take my cat home with her. How was this allowed after they checked his microchip and saw my name and details? Well they actually ended up giving her all my personal details that were on the chip! Do not take your animals here, their negligence could have resulted in terrible things. Not only did they prescribe and diagnose him incorrectly, (as I had taken him to my own vet that morning where they diagnosed him correctly for a completely different issue than what they claimed) but when I contacted them and demanded answers they refused to give me (the owner!) information! I am honestly disgusted and do not take your animal to this vet if you care about them! The only reason I discovered this had happened is because the woman who took my cat to the vet contacted me. Concord vet never left a message or texted me to let me know what had happened. This is completely illegal. When I spoke to the staff on the phone, they were also unhelpful and not understanding of the dangerous situation they had put my cat in. Nor did they want to apologise and take responsibility for what they had done. When I called the vet, the woman on the phone claimed they checked the microchip last and didn’t give the stranger medication. I found that to be a lie considering you would check the microchip first. Not last. And the stranger herself told me she had eye drops given to her by this vet. So this was another lie they tried to use to cover up their actions. Needless to say I am outraged. I normally don’t leave a bad review but this situation was honestly traumatising.

Negative experience: Very bad medical error happened to my dog when she having her hernia surgery when she under 1yr old. We have been to this place for quite some time before this happens, and they have all the medical records of my puppy and they still cut her on the wrong side, the side with no hernia… still don’t understand how this happened, so I decided to share my experience here for someone new to this place

Fantastic experience: My parents and I were fairly nervous going into the vet for the first time with our cat just about a year ago and I was made to feel that the vet nurses and staff there were all amazing to talk to and helped my parents and I understand what would be happening.

Fantastic experience: My dog was with another vet, but we ran out of his medications and they were fully booked for the next three weeks. Luckily, Concord Vet was able to see him right away and Patch got his medications. I did not realised how good this walk in system can be until I needed it. The same thing with helping Patch cross the rainbow bridge. We were able to come in when Patch was ready. The staff were so great. I emailed about the process, the cost etc and all of my emails were answered promptly in a friendly reassuring tone. They really do understand it was a hard decision. On the day, they were so accommodating and professional. I highly recommend CONCORD VET. Don't be put off with the no appointment system,.

Fantastic experience: After a few years away, we’re back and Concord Vet is now our preferred vet. They alway have time to see us even if it’s just for a small thing. Every time my dog is sick or going through something I know they will always be there to help or find the time to see us, unlike some places where I have to wait at least a week or 2 before we can get a time slot to see someone. Just a few month ago Concord Vet Hospital saved my dog and nursed him back to good health. If it wasn’t for Dr Aleshia and the team, I’m not sure if my dog would still be around. So for that I will always be grateful to you and the amazing team. Definitely the BEST and most importantly RELIABLE Vet in the area and I know I can always count on them. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: Dr Georgia is the best vet ever, always very thorough, empathetic, listens and acts on my concerns and has a great sense of humour. The vet nurses are also knowledgeable and friendly. A practice that cares about their patients. I also like how they offer Trap Neuter Release (TNR) and are one of the only vets in Australia offering FIP treatment. The only thing is with appointments, especially as someone with a cat, perhaps there could be certain days where there are some appointments allocated - for those who can't get out of work or have felines. Other than that everything is great!

Fantastic experience: a review long overdue. Dr Karen is amazing and I cannot thank her enough for looking after all our pets in the past few years. Shes highly knowledgeable, ethical and empathetic. Our new puppy had issues with inguinal hernia, which was not made known to us at the time of purchase. I called two vet clinics for an opinion, one vet was recommended by the pet shop and another local one. One said to return the dog back to the pet shop and another said dont worry it might go away on its own. Dr Karen gave her honest opinion that surgery was required now and I trusted her . 1 year after surgery, our puppy is healthy and happy. No issues at all… Miso now runs faster than a leopard. Fantastic experience: Great service, very friendly and efficient. They run by walk ins only, which suited us at the time. Our cat was okay to wait and have a look at the fishes in the tank and fellow patients coming through. We only waited maybe 15-20mins for a standard check up + vax around midday. The vet Dr Ran Duan was amazing and thoroughly explained everything, especially keeping in mind that this is our first cat so I had a lot of worries and she had all the answers as well as useful advice. Negative experience: service is okay but it is a disaster for people who do not live close enough as they don’t take appointment. Long hours wait . first time waited one hour did not get it and came back again next day in the early morning and told have to wait another two hours. I am not going to let my pet in the cat bag for two hours. It was the same situation for last time visit. will go to other Vet who takes appointments and really look after pets when they are in need

Fantastic experience: Concord Vets are the best vets in Sydney. Each time we go there with our beautiful cats , the vets and staff are so caring and knowledgeable and I know our fur babies are always in good hands. We had such a bad experience years ago with another vet when we lost our 18 year old cat. I wish I knew about Concord Vet back then. Concord Vet was recommended to us by the Cat Protection Society when we found our new cats. The vets and staff are all just beautiful, amazing people.

Fantastic experience: Amazing care and compassion from the whole team! All the vets and vet nurses in this practice are amazing and so caring for you and your furry & feathered friends (or scales, or furless etc). :) Well-priced too, but I not the focus of why we go to CVH. It's the easy of access (no appointments, walk-in which means when your pet is sick you can get in). We had an older rescue dog who we sadly lost late last year. We were there almost weekly due to her health right through the lockdown and the team were doing it tough - but always with a smile and compassion. I wouldn't trust our pets with any other vet.

Negative experience: I don't ever write reviews this is the worst place to take your pets too my bird lost a lot of blood due to them cutting incorrectly they don't know what they're doing nor even stop the blood they caused they didn't care they're just money hungry my poor bird forest is in pain they didn't take any responsibility for the things they've caused I want my money back disgusting place.

Fantastic experience: I put my dog to sleep yesterday and it was hands down one of the hardest days I had. Dr. Georgia was gentle, professional and very understanding. I couldn’t thank her at that point. Thank you for making that day a bit better for me.

I had an amazing time visiting this establishment and the nurse that attended to us (Tisha) treated us with such kindness and kept my babies well looked after from the minute we stepped into the building and throughout till the end of our visit. Would definitely recommend any pet owners to this fine business as our lovely animals will be treated with the utmost kindness and respect by the administration, nurses and veterinary specialists!

Positive experience: They are good vets but I really wish they had a proper appointment system instead of walk ins. This is a busy clinic and wait times are often 45 mins to 1 hour. Many times the estimate is not given and you are told to wait in the car until we receive a phone call. During peak covid they may have found this method useful but now it is frustrating. Between work and children it can be difficult not knowing wait times in advance.

Fantastic experience: I have had animals my entire life and this Vet is by far the best. I have a wolfhound (she loves Karen) and 2 rescue cats which I take to see Karen and her service is absolutely outstanding. Karen checks everything, explains in a detailed manner that is easy to understand. What I most love about Karen is a love for animals and the compassion she shows when she needs to deliver news that are difficult to hear. Our cat was recently diagnosed with FIV and Karen has helped me to understand the disease and long term care to increase his quality of life. Hands down best service. Negative experience: If you want to be a new customer, you will have to pay extra $75 for registration fee. Well, this is the 2nd time give 1 start review. Details as below: After checking Google Reviews, I was expecting this is a good place, so I decide to try it for my 16 months Lab annual vaccination here. I called them for the price details today (09/10/2021), price for vaccination sound s reasonable to me in this area, however, reception says they need to charge me extra $75.00 for registration fee because I am a new client, they do not take new clients because of COVID, if you want to be a client, this fee is a must, which does not sound reasonable to me at all.

I found my Cat Diego M as a kitten and they thoroughly went through everything with me to provide the best care for him. They provided me with a care manual which I thought was an amazing help. Fantastic experience: Amazing care and passion from the entire team at CVH. Every vet and let's not forget the valuable vet nurses are so caring and understanding. They have really invested in good equipment and able to do some testing onsite as well as a newly upgraded operating theatre. Good value for money too, which is why we started going there - but now it's not about that at all and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Super knowledgeable and was able to accurately diagnose and treat tricky parasitic conditions and a respiratory infection. Always on hand for advice and support.
