Fantastic experience: The care and attention given to Elvis was incredibly comforting and reassuring. It meant so much to know he was in such caring hands.

Fantastic experience: I took my greyhound to Sash at Alexandria for a gash under his eye. The reception staff were very nice. They petted my dog and he loved the attention. My dog was seen quickly by a vet nurse and the vet. The vet explained everything. She was very reassuring. She assured me there was no damage to his eye. I left my dog at Sash overnight so he could be sedated to have his gash repaired. I picked my dog up the next morning. I saw the vet again and she clearly explained about his medication. I found everyone at Sash to be efficient and caring.

Fantastic experience: The care provided by SASH to our cat was exceptionally caring. The staff were professional, and I had every confidence they would provide an accurate diagnosis.We left with our cat treated after hours, and on a journey to healing. I wish our actual vet was this good.

Fantastic experience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We took our beautiful girl Lola to SASH yesterday for an oncology appointment with Dr John Blaxill after she had a mast cell tumour removed the week before at our local Matraville Vet. From the moment we walked in, the entire experience was incredible. The hospital itself is outstanding — clean, modern, calm and so thoughtfully set up. Honestly, it felt better organised and more comfortable than many human hospitals. The staff were absolutely wonderful. Every single person we dealt with was kind, compassionate and professional. You can genuinely feel that they care about the animals and the families walking through their doors. Dr Blaxill was exceptional. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all our questions without rushing us, and made a stressful situation feel manageable. Today, he even called us personally to check in on Lola and see how she was doing — that follow-up meant so much to us. When you're dealing with something as scary as cancer in your dog, you want to feel supported and informed. We left feeling reassured, educated and grateful. Thank you to Dr Blaxill and the entire SASH team for the care, compassion and professionalism you showed Lola and our family. We truly appreciate everything you do.

Fantastic experience: Clear advice over the phone. Quick intake when we arrived and a short time until our dogs were inspected by a vet. The vet provided several options and advice to treat our dogs. Our insurance claim was lodged by SASH which was very helpful. All in all 10/10 and would visit again - although rather not of course :)

Fantastic experience: I was referred here by my vet at Greencross at Livingstone Rd. My two and a half year old Siamese had been diagnosed with kidney issues which is unusual for a cat that age. I was referred here for further testing with Dr Erin Bell. An ultrasound was performed which revealed more results. Dr Erin was very kind and thorough. An email with some results was sent to me followed up by an explanatory phone call which was reassuring.

Fantastic experience: I am so happy with all of the care my dog Bobbi received when we decided to have her anal glands removed in October. Dr Sarah and the whole team were incredible, and the surgery went so well with no issues at all. We have been to SASH previously for other issues too and are always given the highest level of care. Thanks so much Dr Sarah and team, Bobbi is the healthiest and happiest she has ever been and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

Fantastic experience: We’ve used SASH a few times for both emergency care and specialist surgery and follow up. The waiting area is well set up to give everyone space. The reception staff and nurses are always welcoming, efficient and caring even when it is really busy. The vets are really thorough, knowledgable and explain their thoughts and plans clearly. I also appreciated the vet contacting the surgeon on a weekend to arrange early follow up.

Fantastic experience: I brought in my budgie, Pixie, yesterday evening to SASH. Although this isn’t the SASH branch that has Avian vets (my choice not to go to Ryde as my budgie is a very anxious girly pop and I didn’t want her in the car for that long), my girl was treated with such care and professionalism. The facilities alone speak of the empathy and understanding of what companion animal owners might be dealing with emotionally when having to visit an emergency vet. The space is calm, serene, with plenty of space. There’s lots of seats, private booths, tea, coffee and hot chocolate available, and LOADS of power sockets for people in for the long haul in the waiting room. There’s even books and drawing activities for (human) children. The staff were exceptional. You can really tell the staff are animal lovers who deeply care and empathise with your situation. I forget the gentleman’s name who took down my information (I’m sorry!) but his calm and friendly approach to my stress was very welcome and appreciated. The staff make sure to come and give you updates so you’re not sitting there and ruminating about all that could possibly go wrong. Dr. Geddes was also very warm and calm, and listened patiently while I babbled through all I had observed. Dr. Geddes talked me through how the budgies were doing (I brought my male, Bruno, along for the ride) and clearly explained what her assessment of Pixie was, and included extremely thorough notes and follow up for me to take home. This is extremely appreciated as it’s hard to remember the advice when you’re stressed out and finally back home. Pixie is doing ok this morning and is booked in for another appointment (avian specialist). Bruno thoroughly enjoyed his little adventure. I wanted to thank SASH for all their help and wonderful service. I’ve never taken budgies to the vet ever and was very concerned, so the overall experience put me at ease, and I think that the care provided to my gal quite possibly saved her life until I could get her into an appointment with a specialist. I could not recommend enough - especially in emergency circumstances. I understand that people aren’t always in a position financially, however, in an emergency situation - what price do you put on a loved ones life? Considering all I wrote above, SASH is worth it and so are my darling companions. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: SASH is so helpful and caring when you need a vet. I had a great experience with the reception staff and Dr Ollie was so good with my dog. I have so much confidence in dealing with him. Just so happy and confident with the advice.

Fantastic experience: An excellent experience. The staff on the front desk were wonderful when they checked us in and again when we visited our dog that evening, and both vets we saw on the Thursday and Friday were fantastic. They were very caring, thorough and informative, and I felt confident that our dog was in very good hands. Having the "gap" arrangement with the pet insurer really helped. The premises were really nice and it is so handy for us to get to.

Negative experience: I mean, everyone was very nice, the vet was very knowledgeable and it was very well presented but this place is just insanely overly priced. for a hospital stay of two nights and some scans I was given an estimate of 8k and was made to feel a bit guilty when I didn’t want to leave my cat here. Found another vet to receive the same treatment for a fraction of the price ($1500). Sash were also unable to provide an ultrasound on the weekends. I also found it a little weird that my cat was referred to as my “little one” when my infant child was right next to me haha. Anyways… if you get price shock call around you’ll find equally good care for less at alternative hospitals.

Fantastic experience: My wife rang for advice after my dog ate a corn cob. The team, calmly and supportively advised us to bring in our dog Ollie to ensure we removed the cob before it became a serious issues. When i arrived the team knew i was coming and within 5 mins i had seen a vet. The vet (can't remember her name) ran through the options for removal and she mad me and Ollie feel comfortable and me confident she'd have the corn cob removed that night. I was a nervous wreck before arriving but after the vet consultation felt completely at ease. Thank you very much. Hopefully our dog doesn't need any further visit but if we do we'd be delighted to return the SASH in Alexandria. You guys are awesome

Fantastic experience: My first impression, as this was my first visit, was very positive. The clinic is very professional, and the vet who treated my Pomeranian was extremely kind and explained everything clearly and patiently. I really loved the service and felt very well looked after. If I ever need to come back in the future in case my dogs get sick (hopefully not ), I will definitely return to this veterinary hospital. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: The specialist vet we saw, Dr Barry Cherno, provided an exceptional service. He was patient, inquisitive and thorough in his assessment and explanation of his findings. He answered all my questions, and I did not feel rushed or pressured into anything at any point. Fantastic experience: The team at SASH Alexandria saved our dog’s life. Dusty arrived in critical condition after a traumatic accident and was not expected to survive the night. The emergency and ICU teams acted immediately, stabilised him, and supported us every step of the way with compassion, clarity, and care. Their communication was outstanding, their professionalism second to none, and the kindness they showed to both Dusty and our family will never be forgotten. Thanks to them, Dusty has undergone surgery and is now home recovering. We are forever grateful. SASH Alexandria is truly exceptional.

Fantastic experience: Dr Chris and the ICU nurses provided the most compassionate, efficient and thorough emergency and intensive care to my cat after a car injury. From the minute we brought her in, through her whole stay and a surgery, we felt confident and comfortable with her being in SASH’s care. I feel confident that Yume is in excellent hands and well supported as she moves into her new exercise and recovery plan. The focus on thoughtful, play-based rehabilitation was reassuring and very much aligned with her personality.

Fantastic experience: Went to SASH as our little one woke up with severe eye infections on New Year's Day. The team at SASH Alexandria were accommodating and let us wait in a clinic room while awaiting triage and treatment as our furbaby is a rescue and is very anxious. Even though they gave us an estimate of 2 to 3 hours wait time due to the high number of patients, we were seen to prompt and the staff provided us with regular updates. We were also informed of the facilities that were available to us such as tea and coffee. We would recommend SASH to others if an emergency arose . Thank you SASH - our fur baby is healing and recovering well.

Fantastic experience: I cannot fault a single thing about SASH’s professionalism and care. Our beautiful 7 month old Corgi was recently admitted to Sash with suspected SRMA, which was very nerve wracking and incredibly stressful over the Christmas break. Throughout the entire process we were kept informed, and felt so confident that our Nillie was in the very best care. Although unfortunately we were in the waiting period for our insurance, and it was quite the expensive trip (upwards of 10k spent), we truly do not feel a cent was wasted, we would do it all over again to receive the care, level of expertise and hospitality we did through SASH.

The team are so kind, calm and ridiculously good at what they do that I genuinely forgot I was at a vet and not some kind of five-star medical resort for pets (and their anxious humans). The doctors? Next-level. Smart, compassionate, thorough, and reassuring in a way that makes you think: honestly… if I ever needed surgery myself, just roll me into SASH and hand me a consent form. I trust them that much. Every question answered, every concern taken seriously, zero judgement, maximum care. My pet was treated like family and I was treated like a human who needed snacks and emotional support. If love, skill and science had a baby, it would be SASH. 10/10 would recommend. 11/10 would let them operate on me.

Fantastic experience: With a terminally ill beloved dog, the staff from the first phone call to the last vet were all professional, compassionate and kind. My sweet girl was so well looked after, stayed overnight and thankfully pulled through. We've been a few times now. I highly recommend this modern, wonderfully staffed ER for any beloved pet in after hours needs.

Fantastic experience: We had to visit SASH Alexandria three times over a 2 week period for two of our dogs, the first dog had a bad fall from a balcony and I was understandably very upset, the team was great at reassuring me and Dr Hannah was an absolute rockstar with helping little Chester, she was kind, compassionate and her communication was great. Chester has now made a full recovery We ended up back at SASH with our older dog Xena who we ended up have to put to sleep the night we brought her in, once again the team went above and beyond to help us through a really sad and emotional experience, even after Xena had passed the team we kind and made sure to have someone come and get her so we didn't have to leave her in the room alone, it was a small gesture but made a big impact on us during one of the worst nights of our fur parent lives. I hope we don't have to visit again soon however if we do have another pet in need of emergency or specialist care we would 100% come back to SASH at Alexandria, the Vets and reception staff do not have an easy job but I could tell they are all passionate about animals and with wanting the pet parents to have as positive experience as possible. Fantastic experience: Last night was the first time I’ve ever had to take my dog, Cloud, to an emergency vet, and walking into SASH Alexandria at 2:30am was one of the most stressful moments I’ve had as a pet parent. But from the second I arrived, the entire team made me feel completely looked after, reassured, and genuinely cared for. Michael at reception was incredibly welcoming and calm, which instantly put me at ease. Phoebe, the nurse, was gentle, attentive, and so nurturing with Cloud. And Dr Aaron was exceptional. Thorough, clear, reassuring, and incredibly kind throughout the entire process. I was blown away by how compassionate and professional the whole team was. They treated my dog with such care, and treated me with empathy at a time when I was overwhelmed and worried. Thank you to the SASH Alexandria team for being everything you hope an emergency vet will be when you need them most. I’m deeply grateful. I hope this reaches the staff and the management team, because it was probably the best experience I've had for the situation that I was in.

Staff checked in regularly and I was allowed to visit my dog while he was admitted. They were mindful about cost for tests and confirmed everything before ordering/doing. Positive experience: The staff are great. However the fees are too exorbitant. I would recommend Sash but only because its the only emergency care service. Please review your costs & possibly direct the feedback charity fee for people that may not have the money to pay for your services under a scheme for homeless, unemployed or low income earners. I would be happy to know that I can have the option to pay a portion of my fee towards this scheme or this feedback charity fee to go towards your in-house charity. Cheers Monica

Fantastic experience: I'm grateful SASH exists to serve our animals at all hours. We took our small toy poodle in for possible sea water ingestion in the middle of the night. The symptoms were mild but we wanted to check anyway and they gave us great advice to at least get him triaged and check his vitals. He was fine in the end and recovered after a good sleep - they were attentive, helpful and clear in their communications. Thank you for existing!

All options were explained in easy to understand language, and the discharge notes were very thorough. The staff were friendly and accomodating and were understanding of the urgency in which my dog needed to be assessed , and was grateful he was seen and treated at such short notice . I thought I would have had to wait a lot longer on a weekend . The vet was very caring , and explained everything in detail and treatment provided in the best interests of my dog.

Fantastic experience: Reception staff is friendly and welcoming. Waiting room is quiet and clean with space for reactive dogs to avoid other dogs.< br />Dr Chris Tan has always been informative and knowledgeable, plus always remembers our dog, despite only seeing her once or twice a year.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend SASH enough, they are beyond amazing and go above and beyond. Me and my sister brought my beautiful boxer Miley in early hours of the morning in October after having a seizure. They were nothing but gracious and comforting. We saw 3 vets during the 36 hours Miley was there, all of who were amazing but I want to call out Alex who was extremely professional and showed Miley the dignity and compassion she deserved in her final hours. I can’t thank him enough for the support during and after Miley passed away. Thank you so much Alex. I also want to thank all of the staff there who again were so kind and professional, it is very much appreciated ❤️

Fantastic experience: We receieved really professional and friendly service from SASH staff from front desk through nurses and our vet. Everything was explained very well with helpful options for the care of our cat. We had already tried three vets who said they couldn't see us immediately in a potential emergency. SASH said to bring our cat in straight away and we were with a vet with very little wait. Brilliant! Our cat was luckily OK. Thanks SASH.

Fantastic experience: From the modern private cubicles, reception, triage nurse and DR, was a seamless experience. In times of uncertainty with an elderly cat, we received superb care. Dr H was extremely thorough, caring with extensive insights. Price is very reasonable for emergency care. Highly recommend. Thank you to all staff.

Fantastic experience: One never wants to get to be on the patient side in a hospital with a fur baby but If one has to go to a place then SASH is fantastic. The vets and nurses have looked after our babies both past and present with so much love, dedication and care. Its great to see new vet clinics in different areas. If you open one down the coast would be fantastic:)

Fantastic experience: I recently brought my cat in as a blood donor, and during the screening they discovered high triglycerides. If not for this visit, I would never have known and things could have easily gotten worse. I’m incredibly grateful to SASH and Dr Sherilyn Kee for their thorough care and for catching this early. Fantastic experience: Big thank you to the team at sash who helped look after our kitty cat during an emergency. They provided amazing care and gave such great updates during his stay we knew he was in the best hands.

Fantastic experience: The team did a really great job of looking after Tilly and keeping me informed along the way after some post-surgery complications requiring hospitalisation. Fantastic experience: SASH was incredible!! They were quick to fit my bird in for an emergency appointment and the wait wasn't long at all! Dr Alex was very knowledgeable, gentle and caring towards my bird. He followed up after his appointment and replied with thorough information to ease my worries. He is one of the best vets I've come across. Thank you for looking after my little man!

Fantastic experience: It's a challenging situation, taking a sick pet to hospital, however, from the minute we arrived the staff were great, kind, polite and all organised so, despite not knowing what would happen medically I felt more relaxed. The specialist we saw was very thorough, explained the tests to be done, when she'd get results and any follow up that may be necessary and then took the trouble to ring me the following day with the (good) results.

Fantastic experience: Me and my sister took our boxer dog Miley in as she had a seizure overnight. We saw a few vets over the 72 hours. We had a vet Alex on the last day of mileys care who I cannot speak highly enough of. He was so caring and compassionate and looked after Miley so well in the last few hours of her life. I cannot thank him enough for everything he did for us and Miley.

Fantastic experience: I am so grateful for the amazing Drs, Nurses and Staff at SASH in Alexandria. They have looked after our little Buddi three times now as we battle IVDD. They give the best care and advice and they are so kind and caring.

Fantastic experience: My vets Alex and Sarah were excellent! They explained to me in laymen terms about my darling Theo (Choc labrador)'s condition but since I am a doctor and I asked more questions, they were very thorough and gave me all the possible differential diagnosis and what to expect. I am truly grateful to the care that Theo received! And the receoption staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back, but hopefully I won't have to!

Fantastic experience: I wanted to take a moment to share our recent experience with Dr. John Blaxill. His consultation was incredibly comprehensive. Dr. Blaxill clearly explained our dog's condition and the results, providing us with a detailed treatment plan moving forward. We are very pleased we saw John; he is exceptionally lovely. Additionally, I'd like to commend the administrative staff for their professionalism and warm welcome. They were very accommodating and made our visit smooth and pleasant. Thank you for such a positive experience.

Fantastic experience: Otis was poisoned while at Pioneers Park. It started with twitching, then tremors, moving to convulsions. Took him to Matraville Vet to stabilise him, then to SASH at Alexandria. I thought he was going to die - his eyes were filled with fear. The critical care Vets put an 'all in' effort to save him - and they did! Otis stayed in ICU where he was continually under observation, allowing the Vets to adjust his medication as required during the night especially. The whole team at SASH were genuinely concerned about his welfare. I highly recommend SASH for a pet requiring emergency care.
