Fantastic experience: Had a really great first experience with my 2 senior dogs today. We have had a rough few months with a few vet visits at different clinics and I have never felt taken care of or that they had my babes best interest at the core of the consults so I decided to give green cross a go. After our consult, I definitely left feeling reassured and like all my questions were answered. I was also ecstatic and totally shocked after I had signed up for healthy pets plus the previous night that my 2 senior dogs consult, annual vaccinations and blood tests were covered - I didn’t pay a single cent in the clinic today! Most definitely worth the monthly cost when you have senior pups alongside additional pet insurance. Very happy I gave these service and subscription a go today! And feeing confident about future visits too :) have already recommended the subscription and clinic to so many!

Fantastic experience: Sadly had to have my cat Jax put down today. Staff were very caring and sympathetic. He was 12 years old. He went very peaceful and relaxed. Great Vets.Would recommend these vets to anyone who needs the service of a vet for their beloved pet. Very empathetic even my Jax was relaxed around them and he was a jittery cat.Just received my paw prints from my deceased cat. What a joke one is a print the other is a smudge. Don't know exactly what I paid for them but if it was more than $5 I got ripped off. Two little scraps of white paper. Very disappointed don't pay for the prints not worth it.

Fantastic experience: The staff went above and beyond to ensure my furbaby's comfort and well-being, especially during his dental op. They were informative and conistently kept us updated throughout the day to ease our nerves. Every interaction we've had feels genuinely personable. Special shout-out to nurse Jay, especially! We've also been satisfied with the Healthy Pets Plus program so far, and there has been no issues around utilising it's benefits.

Negative experience: Very bad experience here. Booked cat for overnight stay turned up for drop off and was told he couldn't stay. Cutting a long event story short, in the end, he was allowed to stay, but i felt it was a hassle and made me feel their error was put back onto me and my beloved pet. Since this awfully stressful event, we have found another vet. Appalling treatment from a patient who has literally spent thousands on health care and frequents a branch of this business

Fantastic experience: Greencross Vets West Wollongong are fantastic! My girl rescue dog Charlie absolutely hates visiting the vet due to a poor experience elsewhere when she was a pup. I have had experience with three of the vets at GC West Wollongong and they have all been so overwhelmingly accommodating towards Charlie and her obvious anxiety about being there. They make what would otherwise be a very stressful experience for me, a much easier one. I couldn't recommend them enough. Also special thanks to Dr Chang, who most recently treated Charlie.

Negative experience: Have had three bad experiences with Greencross now over a 10year period ranging from massive overpricing where I went to another vet for a third of the price, to them not having an experienced vet on hand over 5days to pick up what was wrong with my pet, to gross neglect of a deceased pet & aftercare client practice. Go there long enough & youll decide to go elsewhere.

Negative experience: I was told two seperate times on inquiry that I would be able to be present for my pet to be euthanised. After I had paid at the appointment the vet told me I couldn’t be present for the sedation and left me under the impression that I would at least be present for the euthanasia injection. Instead 30 mins later I had my rat brought back wrapped up in a bag, the vet saying it was peaceful and quick… im glad it was peaceful and quick but im heartbroken that I couldn’t be with my pet during ANY of it when I was reassured MULTIPLE times that I would be. Staff were nice but I am disappointed and probably wont go back to this clinic

Negative experience: I had rung twice to have an animal l had adopted papers sent to my vet. Yes no problem they said Attended my vet yesterday email no attachment clinic rang we waited an hr l was seen but when l left still no response

Negative experience: Seem to be understaffed and more focused on pushing their pet insurance/upselling. Communication wasn’t great either. Wouldn’t recommend them for cats, they seemed like they didn’t care.

Negative experience: Never again, I felt judged and pressured to make a quick decision to put my cat to sleep moments after finding out she has a terminal illness. When compassion was needed most it was severely lacking. Didn’t receive a statement of my fees just asked to pay. So I’m not sure what I was charged for.

Negative experience: Took my kitten for vaccination to this clinic. My appointment was at 9am and I reached at 9:02am. The reception lady told me that I’m supposed to come 5 minutes before the appointment because there’s paperwork to be done before they vaccinate her. I wasn’t informed anything about the paperwork or arriving 5 minutes early when I made the appointment over the phone. Also, they could’ve just mailed me the paperwork if it was that important. She told me I’m late and that they have back to back appointments even when there was no one else in the clinic other than us. She was looking to book me in for the next available appointment but I just walked out the door. Honestly didn’t like the vibe of the place and their way of getting things done. Never going back here again. DISAPPOINTED!

Negative experience: I keep giving them a chance but they just end up hurting animals more every time. They just want to push as many unecessary surgeries and euthanisations as they can so they can bill you. They will take your pet away and say you have two options, a really really expensive option that they say won't do much- or overpriced euthanisation. They do not give you a chance to process or think or take your pet home. They seem to like killing here.

Fantastic experience: The whole team are incredibly welcoming and so helpful. We had to say goodbye to one of our boys a year and a half ago - the level of compassion and kindness from the whole team made saying goodbye a little easier on us. We have moved to Shellharbour and even though we have another greencross clinic around the corner we still take our senior boy to the crown Street clinic.

Fantastic experience: Called Greencross Vets, in a panic, after my doggy got over excited and fainted for the first ever known time. I managed to scoop her up, before she hit the ground, gave her a few soft pats on her back and encouraging words and she came round. The Receptionist at the Vets suggested I bring her in immediately and quickly she was diagnosed with a heart murmur and lots of fluid around the heart. Obviously I could rattle on about every detail but hasten to say in a 24hour period, that includes our fur baby coming home over night, she had injections, was prescribed two types of medication, had a mild sedation to shave a few spots for the sensors and have a full heart scan and is now back to her usual self. Thank you so much Dr Lucy and the animal loving Assistants at Greencross Vets West Wollongong. 10 out of 10

He is a staffy and the biggest gentle baby. Green cross have always been great with him and loved on him whenever we have gone in.

Fantastic experience: Brought in a badly injured Blue Tongue (missing both eyes, partially crushed head and missing several digits on one of its front arms) about 2 weeks ago. I was heart broken to see the Bluey in such rough shape. I didn't get the vet's name, but the reception nurse/ vet (Yvonne I believe [sorry if I got the wrong name]), comforted me when I brought the Bluey in, and again when I called later to see what happened to the Bluey. Thank you Greencross Vets Crown street, for the mercy you gave to that poor, poor Blue Tongue Lizard. You guys are awesome.

Negative experience: Took my beautiful baby to Greencross yesterday I picked her up in the afternoon was concerned about her Breathing took her back inside straight away did you dismiss my concerns she was dead two hours later never will take my animals there again.

His examination is very smooth and not distressing to the animals and he always takes the time to explain things. We also did puppy school at Greencross which taught us some great basics and good socialisation skills for our pup :)

Negative experience: Appalled at the lack of care and management. I'd taken my cat in at least 3 times because she scratches herself until she bleeds. These vets concluded that it was an allergy to something in the environment and that the only thing to do is give her antihystomene and cortisone tablets. Ok fair enough but then they won't give you more than 20 tablets and want you to take your pet back each time to get more. I'd spent 1/2 an hour on the phone with the receptionist last week, mostly on hold while she'd consulted with the vet as to whether I could pick more up without taking my cat in. I was told yes. A few days later I went in to pick them up as I said I would. I was made to wait at least 20 minutes without communication as to why, before I was told that the vet wanted to see me. He then told me he wasn't happy to give me more (of the tablets he initially subscribed by him after seeing my cat a few times) without seeing her again. Also apparently there was no record of my phone call or the arranement for me to pick up a repeat of the tablets. Meanwhile my cold foods (this was supposed to be a quick prearranged pick up) where warming up in the car, and now I have nothing to treat my cat with to see her through to the appointment I'd made with another vet a few days later. So my cat will be stressed out for the next few days and I am stressed watching her go through that. People had previously told me Greencross where only interested in how much money they could make. Now I know why. Plenty of other vets to try.

Negative experience: Dr. Ben Sawtell has no sense of responsibility at all. No health check at first. Also, he gave my cat an extra vaccination which should be taken one year after without any explanation. When we went back to ask them, they explained that that is the boost shot because they did not know my cat's vaccination history, which is not ture. And Dr. Ben did not even come out to explain to us at all.
