Fantastic experience: Moved from Canberra last year and had the great fortunate of the Yallah vets being the closest to where we live! With two senior dogs and a multitude of cats IAH has been everything I look for in a vet practice. I had two cats with urinary blockages at the same time and Dr Ryan went above and beyond! Dr Dennis is lovely and approachable and it is easy to see how much he really cares about animals. So happy to have IAH as our vets.

Fantastic experience: I love this vet surgery, its convenient and has great operating hours. Dennis is such a lovely caring vet and he explains things so well. He's always pleasant and friendly and goes out of his way to help out and our animals seem to warm to him. The reception staff and vet nurses are lovely too and they make you feel welcome both on the phone and in person. Overall i would highly recommend Dennis and the team for your animal care. Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this veterinary surgery any higher. The care, compassion and dedication that they have given us with our dachshund with IVDD has been wonderful, in a time when you are not sure what lays ahead it’s just lovely to have caring staff to talk too xxxx

Fantastic experience: The best place to take your pets, highly recommended! Have had both of my cats dessexed here and they have received amazing care and treatment from all staff. Lovely receptionists as soon as you walk in getting greeted and they made sure to call me during the day letting me know how my cat was going after surgery. So great knowing my fur babies are being well cared for, much appreciated!

Negative experience: We’ve been using Yallah Vet for around 10 years. In the early days, the service was very good, and we felt well looked after. More recently, however, things have declined, particularly as we've needed more regular support for our older dog who is on daily medication. Communication has become a real challenge. At times, it's difficult to get through by phone, and I’ve had to follow up with emails just to request a repeat on our dog’s medication. Even then, it often takes days to hear back about when the medication will be ready, which can be stressful when dealing with a pet who needs daily treatment. This week’s experience was particularly disappointing. We had a 9:00 AM appointment and arrived early at 8:50. I was told there would be a wait, but no estimate was given. At 9:25 I asked again and was told there were still two patients ahead of us. By 9:45, after nearly an hour of waiting with no further communication, we decided to leave. I tried to inform reception, but no one was there. Then, at 10:00 AM, I received a voicemail saying they were looking for us, apologizing for the delay, and asking us to rebook. Unfortunately, after several similar experiences, we've decided to take our pet's care elsewhere. It’s disappointing, especially after being long-term clients, but consistent communication and reliability are essential—especially when caring for an aging pet.

Fantastic experience: Denis was amazing made me feel at ease leaving my pup for a procedure

Negative experience: My cat was returned to me with a graze from clippers but I received no acknowledgement or mention of this. Communication could have been better. After my experience, I didn't feel reassured or that the wellbeing of my cat was particularly important to them. So, I have since gone to a new vet who explains everything thoroughly and was kind to both myself and my cat, showing genuine interest in treating them. Edit - Worth noting that I have not heard from anyone/been contacted despite their reply below.

Negative experience: I had booked an appointment last week and arrived at 9:10am for a 9:20 slot. I was informed they were a little behind and there would be a 15-minute wait, which I was happy to accept. However, by 9:50am, we were still waiting outside in the sun with a baby. During the last 15min of that time, the receptionist was engaged in an extended conversation with someone I later realised was potentially not just another patient, but likely a friend. Once I approached the desk to follow up, the conversation quickly ended and I was told a room would be prepared for us. At that point, I was questioning if this individual had been prioritised over us and if this may have been the cause of the delay. Feeling overlooked and uncomfortable with how things were already being handled, I decided to leave and seek care elsewhere. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reluctant to return.

Fantastic experience: What a great practice where the vets and nurses are all equally fantastic. They offer a holistic approach to treating arthritis for my 12 year old staffy who has regained alot of his mobility back. Caring and informative, highly recommend.

Positive experience: IAH is wonderful I have used them on and off for years. Dr Paul used to attend to my special needs Cockatoo back in 2017- but I not take my dog to the vet. Dr Jade is lovely. She is willing to listen, answer questions and thoroughly explains what needs to be done. She is always ready with alternatives and options for different budgets. She is so far the only one who has been able to get my dogs ear infections under control and she doesn't judge me when I most recently explained that I tired to help my dogs skin a home before coming in. She was kind and agreed that sometimes animals don't need ti see a vet straight away- but thanked me for recognising that medication was needed. My dog is now comfortable again, and I am grateful to Dr Jade and the team for the wonderful service. Yes, theyre not the cheapest, but I am happy to pay a tad more, for the awesome service I receive.

Fantastic experience: We have been clients here for several years with our King Charles Cavalier, surgical procedures, check ups, vaccinations, just recently we have had to experience having our girl euthanised our hearts are broken, would like to thank the team at Yallah special mention to our vet Samone and vet nurse Kath. Fantastic experience: IAH Yallah are always very warm and friendly. The staff are helpful and were so kind to us when we had to have our old girl put to sleep last year. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I called on Friday and explained what I needed for my dog and they could put him in Monday, so 1 star there. After going there for the second time (first time I spent approx $1800) I felt again this business was more concerned about what money they could make off me rather than focusing on what I wanted for my dog. After dropping him off, saying what he needed done they then called an hour later repeating what I had already explained then saying i needed to spend $2100 getting his teeth done to which I at first said yes but they couldn’t fit him in on the day anyway. I said do what I had already discussed and signed for with the vet an hour before. They called at 3 to say he is ready but wouldn’t let me pick him up because the vet wanted to talk to me at 5 again to get me to spend the money getting his teeth done. My mum went to get him, I felt pressured and like a bad owner even though I was spending $550 to have him sedated to get his nails clipped, his ear infection treated and some grooming around his face and feet (his hair gets caught in his teeth) at the end of the day my mum to gets home where they called again for more money because they charged my mothers card incorrectly getting there 5’s mixed up with 2’s. it was like someone was following me around all day panning. Other than not grooming his hair around his mouth like I asked, the rest of the work was done well, another star.

Fantastic experience: Saw Dr Dennis at Yallah and he really took the time to explain to me about my dog’s potential food/environmental allergy. Explained well the allergy injection, but also that my dog would do best if we could try to remove the allergen if possible. He reviewed the current kibble ingredients on his computer and recommended a new one. Dr Dennis was very direct about dog dental health and how incorporating brushing I’ll help which I appreciated and as we were about to do x2 dentals plus pre bloods, start a new vet sold food, start a new medication, one dog gets recurrent ear injections and one of my dogs is getting older let me know the Pet Wellness Plan would very well save me money.

Positive experience: Tell you something for free. I was told to come in between 8 am. and 8.30 am. I arrived at 8.10 am and was told quite rudely that your appointment isn't until 8.30 am, so you must leave and come back in 20 minutes. I would have understood, but nobody was in the reception. Grrrrrrr

Negative experience: I was very disappointed that after my visit on Easter Saturday my dog deteriorated on Saturday night. I continually rang the after hours number but could not get through. I took my dog to Greencross after hours early on Sunday morning and was advised that he would need to be admitted. I believe that without their immediate attention for the next 24 hours Lego would have died.

Negative experience: Have had good & bad experiences here the staff are caring but communication is definitely not the best & they’re quite expensive. After going here for years I think I’ll be taking my babies elsewhere from now on after today. Took my baby to what I was told was a free post op appointment yet I was charged for part of the visit but was NOT informed, like I said communication is not good! After 4weeks I’ve finally had a return phone call after multiple attempts from my end & Michael was far from reasonable & I will not be returning!! By all means if you want to get ripped off 100% go to Illawarra animal hospital Yallah!

The staff reviewed my dog talked about the required procedure and costs. They were patient and caring. The vet called the next day to enquire about my pooches health. my doggo is now recovering well.

Professional, quick, caring and they explain everything that's either happened or needs to happen for your pet to remain healthy. Hopefully we don't have to see them often! We have been seeing Sophie for a while now, and I think she is a fantastic vet. She is very knowledgeable, listens to your concerns, and has a great way of explaining things in a way that you will understand. Sophie has been there when my dog Molly needed surgery, and she was so incredibly kind and very happy to listen to and answer all my questions and concerns. I appreciate the time and effort that she takes in our appointments to find the cause of the problem and her determination to find a solution. She will be our go-to vet from now on. I highly recommend going to this clinic (both Yallah and Figtree) and especially seeing Sophie.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this vet clinic, (and their Figtree clinic too) for their excellent care, consideration and skill. My dog Trixy suddenly had some very strange and dangerous symptoms and the staff saw her immediately, despite clearly being very busy. The vet (Paddy) was extremely caring, efficient, experienced and determined, as well as being very kind. He solved the mystery of her illness and treated her successfully and within 24 hours we had her home again and back to her old self. I'm very grateful for the care Trixy received and I highly recommend both the IAH clinics!
