Fantastic experience: Liz is always friendly and caring. We have 2 cats and 2 german shepherds so we have had Liz & Dirk as our Vet for about 8 years now. I am writing this because yet again, although booked out, she squeezed us in as I thought my 9 month old GSD had ring worm. (he didn't, just a hot patch) A key differential with Russell Vale is Liz always gives us treatment options and costings so we can make an educated decision. Plus, opposite Bunnings. It doesn't get better than that!

Recently had our baby, Louie get very unwell with pancreatitis and although they were full with surgeries etc, Liz told us to bring him in immediately. I didn’t want him to go anywhere else so I was so appreciative that they could look after him and get him well again. They are so thorough and go above and beyond. Fantastic experience: A welcoming and reassuring practice for worried animal parents and their fur babies. From previous experiences we thought our cat was too scared and aggressive for safe examination but the team at Russel Vale Animal Clinic were so patient and experienced that our cat Corra had an injection without so much as flinching. I've never seen Corra more accepting of veterinary treatment. After feeling rather dismissed and hopeless about Corras recurrent urinary problems, I took a chance on the excellent Google reviews and Dr Liz and team far exceeded expectations. We felt listened to and were given practical and well explained advice and solutions to a problem we didn't know how to manage until now. We are still learning to manage Corras symptoms but now feel supported in doing so. I cannot recommend this practice enough, particularly if your animal is very anxious and scared at vet appointments.

Fantastic experience: Today I messed up I turned up on the wrong day, the vet, despite their full diary took us in so that my dad's dog Bonnie wouldn't continue to be in pain and distress. I haven't been to this vet before and the vet was so kind and caring making sure Bonnie got the care she needed. While it wasn't urgent care, it needed attention to manage the pain. I'm glad I trusted my gut to get care and I'm glad they could see we needed help. They were also patient while I had to wait for payment as Bonnie is my dads dog and he pays for her care under Power of Attorney. A few hours after medication she is feeling a bit better. Thank you see you in a few days. Thank you for accommodating us today !

Negative experience: Took my dog there to be desexed, No problem, Was asked a few invasive question, um my dogs here for a desex-why are you asking this? Hippie looking vet then tells me when I’m picking up my dog “these are safe for humans to just letting you know” I don’t not recommend this practice. Go somewhere else.

Our cat Loki was experiencing recurring issues with swelling in his paws, but every vet we saw dismissed it during quick appointments, assuring us that he was fine. We went through numerous appointments and racked up expensive vet bills, only to be told again and again that there was nothing wrong, even though we knew in our hearts there was. In desperation, I emailed Dr. Liz, who had always been incredible with Loki when he was younger and detailed everything he was going through. Despite us no longer being regular clients and without even asking us to book an appointment, she took the time to respond with genuine care, offering possible explanations and a path forward. We brought him back to Dr. Liz, and from that moment on, the level of care and dedication she gave him was amazing. She made it her mission to uncover what was really going on, going so far as to reach out to a global panel of vet experts to help us find the answers. Because of her determination, Loki was finally diagnosed with an extremely rare and severe allergy that requires ongoing treatment. It’s a condition that would have continued to go unnoticed if not for Dr. Liz’s expertise and persistence. We cannot recommend them more highly. If you're looking for a vet who truly cares and will go above and beyond for your pet, please take them to Dr. Liz. You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I'm so happy with the service that Liz and Dirk provided my cat Possum whilst having a dental procedure. They were so informative and caring. This was Possum's first visit to Russell Vale Animal Clinic and she is usually mortified after a vet visit and hides for days under the bed. But within a few hours of Possum arriving home, she was wandering around the house wanting to chat and be affectionate again. I couldn't be more thankful.

Fantastic experience: A fantastic example of a family run Vet practise with expertise and love. My cat Shyla was due for her yearly vaccines when it was noticed her gums were quite bad. What was supposed to be a X-ray and clean soon turned out to be 4 teeth removed. Though the procedure was quite pricey I can’t fault the end results and couldn’t recommend this practise more.

Fantastic experience: I was very pleased with the treatment my dog got from Dr Liz at Russell Vale Vets, she is very thorough after medication for one problem he was a lot better and the ear problem also a lot better but she is making sure all is cleared up by seeing him again in a few weeks. Katana has seen other vets IN the past and she didn't really take to other vets if anything trembled with Liz katana is relaxed. Liz truly cares for the animals and she's got a way with animals where they seem relaxed she's not like green cross vet clinics that only care for the $$ they can charge . Everytime we drive near or past the clinic katana becomes excited ans not fearful like in the past .. Liz takes the time to let him settle and always does any checks on him slowly and confidently to put him at ease. Would highly recommend this practice.

If I email Liz about something I see on my pet Summer, she responds quickly, she gives advice on what to do at the cheapest and easiest way to resolve any concerns. Liz is easy to talk to, always helpful, so knowledgeable and I tell all my friends with pets how comfortable I feel going to Russel vale vets. Even my dog summer cries when we drive past the office as she wants to visit her friends Liz and Derk and get her shredded chicken treat. Liz has a great system where she keeps records of shots and immunizations and she has an online booking system that allows you to book your best available day. I can’t speak highly enough of them, I never leave feeling like I wasn’t supported. Liz is like extended family.
