Fantastic experience: Evie was really well looked after, the explanations as to what had occurred and her treatment was clearly explained. I knew she was in the best hands not only for the problem we took her there for, but for any future problem she might encounter. I would not hesitate to take her back there again if the need arises.

If after hours and you need assistance with your pet don't hesitate to come. I understand the fees and cost is expensive but for after hours care it is comforting to know they will do everything they can to assist.

Fantastic experience: We recently had to get our Blue Heeler, Matilda’s, TPLO surgery, and as she’s a very strong-willed and aggressive dog, we were really anxious about how she’d handle it. From start to finish, the team at Sash Vets were absolutely amazing. They respected her boundaries, never judged her or us, and made sure her needs were prioritised. The vets were understanding, patient, and kept us updated while she stayed overnight, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear they genuinely cared about her comfort and wellbeing. Knowing that they would respect her boundaries made what was a stressful situation so much easier. We can’t thank them enough!

Fantastic experience: We recently had a traumatic emergency with our Border Collie. The SASH team were incredible, during the frantic phone call on the way, they were able to calm us down and provide emergency advice. Once we arrived, a staff member was already outside waiting for us to help rush our boy in. Despite their best efforts, unfortunately we couldn't bring him back. The team were incredibly supportive, treated us with respect, discussed options and gave us the privacy to say goodbye. The support during one of our darkest moments will never be forgotten.

Fantastic experience: SASH Adelaide have been fantastic with treatment of my Lab, Sammy boy. They're really knowledgeable, helpful and caring and go the extra mile to make sure your pup is comfortable while visiting. Fantastic experience: The doctors and nurses at SASH are all outstanding. My cocker spaniel has received the best care when she has been there. She has had allergy issues and infections and I really appreciated the attention to detail when organising her treatment. She has lapped up all the attention and treats to make her feel comfortable.

It's always very concerning when one's pet becomes unwell or hurt and everyone we interacted with at SASH made our experience a very calming and caring one. It's clear that the animals that present at SASH Emergency are very important and cared for by everyone. From Reception, to the Triage Nurse, the Vet and emergency staff behind the scenes, we felt our beautiful girl was in the best hands. We experienced good communication throughout and thought the premises was modern, hygienic and overall a most professional set up. It's greatly appreciated :)

The care we get for our girls is top quality. Our girls are our world and the trust we have with everyone is comforting. It’s great to have Dr’s and nurses for our girls where we leave feeling totally comfident with the treatment, advice and care we all received, thank you all so much.

Fantastic experience: SASH Adelaide have been looking after our dog Paddington after a severe fall that resulted in a broken shoulder blade. On X-ray it was discovered that our dog had also either inhaled or swallowed a pin that is now in lung tissue. Whilst we are still under active care for Paddington we have been kept informed and care has been given to include us at every step. Paddington's care has been stellar and all is going well. We will face the hurdles we have to with ongoing discussions over his care moving forward, but we know we are in safe hands.

Fantastic experience: Every vet and nurse we spoke to over the last few days has been the kindest, most patient and professional people we have ever encountered not just at a vet but genuinely anywhere. They made the worst few days of our lives just a bit better and supported us in a way that went above and beyond. We can't ever explain how grateful we are that our little boy Eggsy got to recover with them by his side. He came home like he'd been on a spa visit, happy and healthy and purring like an engine. Thank you all so much for your kindness, we'll never be able to repay it.

Fantastic experience: We were very concerned about having the soft palate (BOAS) surgery on Reg our 12 month old British Bulldog. He also needed his nares widened and his tonsils removed. Dr Marina and the staff at SASH Rundle Street Kent Town were amazing! They called us every few hours with updates and sent pics of Reg. He was a star. Fantastic experience: I was so fortunate to meet the extraordinary Dr Hill and the wonderful Georgia. They showed such genuine kindness and compassion. They took the time to carefully review previous treatments and handled my dog with the utmost care during her examination. Their thoroughness and empathy were truly appreciated, and I am deeply grateful for how lovely they were throughout the entire visit. And Georgia's gorgeous drawings on my dog's medication bag were such a thoughtful touch!

Fantastic experience: Dr Nicholas thoroughly explained my dog's condition and allowed us to see him out the back before he was admitted for pericardial infusion procedure and overnight stay. He was patient and kind in his explanation and we really appreciate it

Fantastic experience: Brought in cat with poor condition following chronic constipation, no longer eating following enema. Vet was clear about all of the potential pathways + their associated costs. Standard of care given was high, vet/nurses available via phone when needed. Clearly explained further instructions on discharge.

Positive experience: Thank you for looking so well After our boy Alfie who was brought to Sash with severe acute pancreatitis. He stayed 6 days in intensive care. We are very grateful that Alfie is still alive and hopefully continues to recover fully.

Fantastic experience: It wasn't cheap given we came to the emergency dept on a public holiday, but this was more than made up for by the lovely SASH staff. From the receptionists, to the nurses to the vets, everyone was very compassionate and empathetic, which made the situation a lot easier to deal with, and it felt like our pup was really in the best hands.

Fantastic experience: This was our first contact with an emergency Vet practice. SASH have kind and thoughtful reception staff who promptly assessed the situation and got us to come in. The intake process was easy & the initial Vet was empathic, unflappable and mindful of our stress & Montys. Everything was explained before we left Monty in their care; he was very sick. The regular Vet updates, nurse updates with photos and comments do mean a lot when you are worried about your pet. All the Vets took time to explain, explore options and genuinely listened to our concerns but importantly our knowledge of Monty; his quirks, habits and demeanour. We felt integral to his care. Reception staff worked efficiently but with compassion. We didn’t meet many nurses but the two we did were kind & approachable. It’s not a cheap business providing expert Vet care however we were kept informed and our choices respected. We would not hesitate to return with our old dog Monty.

Fantastic experience: Everyone we met at SASH North Adelaide were very kind , professional and caring towards our little fox terrier ‘Georgie’. All surgery and post op treatment was explained clearly to us by the vet and vet nurses. We had confidence in their ability to repair Georgie’s leg. Georgie was well cared for during his 2 night stay in hospital. Georgie is recovering well at home. Thank you SASH for looking after Georgie.

Fantastic experience: Staff, nurses and doctors were all great and made the whole process very easy. They responded to any and all of our questions, even last minute phone calls and they all love animals, our dog was very well looked after and loved.

Fantastic experience: Apart from the professionalism during the consultation phase, I was very impressed by the phone call immediately after my dog's surgery ie. in post-op recovery then calls next day about his subsequent progress overnight. The nursing staff were also knowledgeable, engaged and very caring.

From the moment I arrived the service I received was extremely professional, warm, caring and friendly from everyone I spoke to. In our case the actual cost fell below the initial estimate which shows honest business without overt profiteering. Fantastic experience: Great overall, lovely staff, informative and caring for our dog. Longer wait times than I’ve experienced the one other time we’ve attended however, as it was a Saturday night we completely understood, especially as others that came in were in a more urgent state than we were. These are very strong and resilient people to work in what can be such an emotionally draining environment, they deserve everything good in the world.

Fantastic experience: We would like to take this opportunity to thank SASH for the amazing care that all their team, from reception team, vets, veterinary nurses, interns, cleaning staff, everyone showed Envy. They all went above and beyond to provide her with the highest quality care. If it was not for all their hard work, determination, loving way towards her, we highly believe she would not be here with us today. Envy was in a critical condition and barely breathing by the time we had arrived at the hospital. The staff immediately jumped into action and saved her life. She had to stay in hospital for about 5 days with numerous struggles she needed to battle with the expertise help from The SASH team. They kept us informed throughout the whole process, rang and gave detailed updates of what needed to be done and had been done, her progress and our options. The beautiful staff sent photos of Envy, reassuring us she was on the mend and receiving the best, loving care. Throughout these uncertain times every single team member was absolutely amazing. There is simply not enough words to describe how grateful we are to all the team there. The hospital is extremely clean and the set up is fabulous. Fantastic experience: Our dog got a grass seed in his ear not long after our usual vet closed. Initially called the Green Cross emergency vet on Magill Road who advised they were very busy so I tried SASH and decided to go there instead. I was very happy with the service and the grass seed was removed under sedation. Thanks SASH!

Fantastic experience: Called Sash before their regular opening hours due to an emergency with my dog. The receptionist was very helpful and gave me all the information I needed upfront. The clinic itself was comfortable and inviting, all staff were lovely, and I could tell they cared about the welfare of my dog. They helped make a very stressful experience less stressful.

Fantastic experience: Receptionist was SO KIND on the phone. Reception staff x3 were all lovely to deal with upon arrival and departure. Vet Nurse was knowledgable and calming, and the Vet was very helpful, even though our animal was not a cat or dog, as we required emergancy care at 9pm. Nutmeg is doing well.

Fantastic experience: In an emergency situation due to my dog being hit by a car, I cannot fault the treatment of Monty both initially and ongoing. The staff were excellent communicators with us on his ongoing progress which came frequently and consistently. I certainly highly recommend SASH Kent Town in this circumstance. Monty is now home and on the mend.

Negative experience: My experience with SASH was not up to standards of an emergency vet clinic. I walked in and was greeted by lovely receptionists and a nurse who took my unwell cat Lilly to oxygen giving me hope i was about to have a great experience. The moment the vet walked in this all changed. I explained to the vet that my cat suffers from the flu due to her tiny size, and that I wanted them to do what care they could there to get her by until the morning, where i would take her to my local vets. I was advised that Lilly needed to spend the night, to which I advised no, due to the stress it would place on her, the vet was extremely and visibly agitated with my decision and even argued with me to the point. It was not until I said that I wouldn’t even be able to afford it that she considered what I was saying. I asked for treatment until the morning, explaining that my vet would typically give her antibiotics, pain relief and fluids and that this has been done on emergency situations and then my cat would begin to recover over the day or night. I was advised she would be given pain relief and antibiotics, to which i then agreed to sign the waiver. Once signed I was given her treatment which was tablet antibiotics for a cat who would not eat and pain relief for me to give to my cat myself. I can’t wrap my head around the fact that there was no needles of antibiotics, pain relief or even fluids provided by an emergency vet clinic to give her the best fighting chance. My local vets have gone above and beyond to help aid in her recovery and I feel extremely let down by this clinic, because i didn’t want my cat to die from stress overnight and believed she would have a more fighting chance in the comfort of her home. This clinic came off as not caring the moment they knew they weren’t getting 1000s of dollars out of meds

Fantastic experience: The reception staff were incredibly helpful and friendly when we called in a panic about our dog showing signs of a fit, seizure, or stroke. We had no idea what was happening and initially contacted another 24/7 vet hospital we’d used before, who referred us to SASH. From the moment we arrived, all staff were kind and reassuring (we were still very anxious and confused about what was happening to our dog, Archie). The vet was polite, professional, and compassionate throughout the consultation. During our visit, there was some commotion when another pet came in needing immediate attention and CPR. When the vet returned, they apologised for the delay and explained the reason, which we really appreciated. When it came time to pay and leave, the staff were again polite, friendly, and professional, thanking us for understanding the delays caused by emergencies. I was surprised to hear some other pet owners being less than polite in these circumstances and felt sorry for the staff, who were clearly doing their best to help everyone. Overall, I thought they handled everything extremely well. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again in an emergency (though fingers crossed we don’t have to), and I have complete confidence in their care.

Fantastic experience: Luckily our situation didn't end up requiring full emergency care so it was less stressful than it could have been but everyone was so friendly, patient and kind. We felt very listened to, our cat was checked thoroughly including having an ultrasound to ensure that he was okay. The hospital itself was very calming and clean, really appreciated the cat waiting area. Pricing was also very fair for providing an out of hours service. We have already told other cat owning relatives and friends that SASH felt a really great place to take our pets as needed.

Fantastic experience: Nurses and doctors were very informative, and provided the upmost care for my cat during his stay. I’m pleased to say that my cat fully recovered from a snake bite- and after 5 days he is now walking, talking, peeing, pooing, eating, purring, jumping and happily home.

Fantastic experience: Had to take my Sheltie Lexi for gallbladder removal. They were lovely during a distressing time. I was given thorough explanation of what was going on and was updated of Lexi’s condition often. She was discharged earlier than expected with very detailed instructions for her aftercare and and she is now home resting with the reassurance that I could reach out to SASH at anytime if I have any concerns. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful facility in SA with wonderful caring staff. I hope we don’t have to visit again but will know my furries will be in good hands if we do. Thankyou to everyone who had a hand in caring for my Lexi girl ..

Fantastic experience: Excellent service and diagnosis. Communication cannot be faulted. Seemed a bit expensive but one needs to take into account the costs of running such a high class emergency hospital. In all very happy with everything about SASH Adelaide. They are an emergency hospital who respect that one then follows on with their own vet. Very straightforward and honest re having further tests eg Brain MRI and the fact that this could only tell what the problem was and due to age of dog very expensive brain surgery really shouldn't be an option but rather keep comfortable and pain free which we have achieved. Our dog went from near death to now on medication and being kept inside away from her friend a big playful German Shepherd who has been with her very nearly all their lives. It seems a miracle she has recovered so much. I believe the medication administered and her rehydration at the hospital have given her a second life. Thank you to all excellent staff and doctors at SASH.♥️

Fantastic experience: Team were all very friendly and supportive. They apologised for the wait at all points (it was a very busy night) and were clear in costs. Everything was explained well with reasons and options being provided in relation to treatments.

Fantastic experience: Our stressed Chocolate Labrador was attended to very professionally by the Triage Nurse and excellent Vet who treated her. It took the stress off us somewhat especially in an after hours emergency! This has been our 4th visit there and I am amazed at the quality of care and prompt attendance!! Mikasa is now much better and just in time to face the heatwave. Thank you SASH once again.

Fantastic experience: Impeccable care of Willow from James Mutton since Aug 2024 guiding her diabetes. Her recent emergency visit handled by Dr Sarah was met with compassion and a very well Willow upon her discharge. Amazing work to Sarah and the nurses who dearly looked after her.

Fantastic experience: In a recent incident, where my young cat companion ingested some toxic greenery which could have caused kidney damage and, in the worst case, kidney failure, I brought her here on the advice of my regular vet. Emergency staff demonstrated a high level of expertise and provided outstanding care to my much-loved companion. They gave excellent feedback and follow-up information. They were also very kind to me (I'm an old lady). I have already recommended SASH to the rest of my family and recommend them to anyone else in need of expert emergency care for a companion animal. I'm so thankful for their service.

The staff dealt with him very effectively: he had eaten three quarters of a hollow rubber ball, and has since been fine and frisky. No more hollow balls, and toys now censured. Fantastic experience: The staff were lovely. Unfortunately the issue with my dog was not resolved but due to the high costs related to the required work I chose to return to my regular clinic (who were shut the day I went to SASH) for those works (xray and/or CT scan).

Their friendliness and communication via updates, texts and during consults was excellent. Providing me with snacks and a drink during waiting times was also a nice touch! Despite seeing multiple vets and nurses during different shifts, everyone was consistent with the level of care and attention given to Marvolo.

Fantastic experience: Staff are amazing. Kind, caring, efficient, professional. Facilities are excellent - clean and welcoming and thoughtful touches everywhere to make your experience as comfortable as possible eg tissues, coffee machine, water bowls for the dogs.

Fantastic experience: Great consultations informative thorough compassionate Lovely staff & clean bright environment. Our dogs procedure went smoothly and we were kept well informed during his stay. Post op info and medication well presented & instructions clear and easy to follow. Adequate parking...just dont leave to the last minute to park on premises just incase. Negative experience: The clinic and staff seemed wonderful however, I was referred for emergency specialist care and there was none available until Monday. It was devastating to spend 5.5 hours waiting for advice from a specialist and I only got to see a regular (kind and gentle) vet and hear the same news. Unfortunately, I consider the time and money spent a waste.

Fantastic experience: I have been very impressed with the vets I have seen at Sash and how they have help my dog out on a variety of issues from tumors to skin allergies . Thank you so very much esp Dr Andrew, Dr Penny, Dr Peter , Dr David, Dr Micheal, Dr Gary and everyone who has taken such wonderful care of Pickles the pug. Fantastic experience: Compassionate and professional. The wait was short and Dr Ryan was very compassionate and very thorough. His explanations were easy to understand (even during a traumatic time). Nursing staff were incredible, allowing our boy to stay with us for as long as possible and recover with us in the consult room to ease with the anxiety felt by all. The staff genuinely care for your pet and love what they do. We are now confident that he is in the very best hands for his life saving surgery tomorrow

Fantastic experience: Meagan was spectacular. She outlined the treatment plan clearly, and her bedside manner with respect to both me and my pet was exceptional. It is worth noting that another emergency vet I contacted said they were unable to help as my pet was neither a cat or dog. I am unbelievably grateful to Meagan for researching outside of her area of expertise in order to give my bird early access to the treatment which will hopefully save his life.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was very friendly. The vet nurse, Laine, was great. She was calm with our distressed dog, friendly, told us everything she was doing and why. She came back to check on Rocket and kept us updated about when Rocket would be seen by the vet. The vet, Matthew, was also good. He explained everything and gave us all the options with likely outcomes. He was gentle with Rocket and reassuring to us.

Fantastic experience: Desiree and the team were absolutely excellent. Provided great advice over the phone to triage my dog Sweep, and gave him painkillers and checked on us while we were waiting to be seen. Fantastic experience: Our experience with SASH has been great. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The vet and vet nurses were also friendly, knowledgeable and informative and we felt very reassured that our fur baby was in good hands for his surgery. Initially we weren’t sure how our boy would go because he suffers from anxiety (especially when at the vet), but once having the initial consultation, we were confident he would be okay. We also appreciated getting a few photo updates whilst he was in the hospital. All in all, SASH provided an excellent service. Thank you

Fantastic experience: We took our Chihuahua to SASH as our miniature pony kicked her in the eye area. We were seen very quickly from very nice, thorough, friendly vets and staff. The price of as less than expected. Great service for our loved fur babies.

Fantastic experience: We attended sash twice on the same day, and saw the same vet doctor each time. She listened carefully and gave our Polly the best treatment each time. We were very happy with the care received. We really appreciated that the vet didn't charge a second consult fee when we came back the second time, but just provided continued care and additional medication for our Polly. Sincere thanks. Hopefully we won't need to come back anytime soon, but if there is a need, we'll definitely come back to sash again for caring timely support. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: My Mini Schnauzer Mr Green became unwell after he had eaten his evening meal,I became very concerned and contacted SASH after describing his symptons I was advised to take him into SASH in Adelaide. After the vet saw Mr Green it was agreed we should do some blood tests and an ultrasound. These tests took approx an hour we arrived home at midnight all well with some medication.. Next day he rested and was fine, he did not eat all day as apparently there was a lot of food in his tummy the evening before. The following evening he seemed ok all day. I fed him his evening meal and straight away he had the same symptons as before.. Mr Green went back to SASH and stayed overnight for observation.He stayed for 24hrs and came home very cheery and happy.. SASH provided us with the option to have after hrs care...I do not have a current vet due to moving house I was very grateful for the service provided. I wish I had known about SASH yrs ago when my other Schnauzer was ill with stomach cancer. Most certainly I would have asked for a referral to SASH for scans etc and would have found out a lot quicker what was wrong with her and possibly could have saved her life. The services provided are varied its basically similiar to human hospital services... All the staff were friendly and professional and kept me up to date on everything.. The front reception ladies were very thorough and professional especially in relation to the account ...I appreciated the fact that all the costs are discussed up front with an open and honest manner.. I recommend SASH to all pet owners it is an amazing place. Thank you to everyone who cared for my boi he seems to had recovered fully.

Fantastic experience: From when we walked thru the doors at SASH their care for our family dog and us was awesome. We had a very sick dog and their care and demeanour was fabulous. You could see that they were just as concerned with our dog as we were. When we brought her home, they explained everything that we needed to do. Would so recommend anyone taking their sick dog or cat there.

Fantastic experience: The vets and nursing staff could not have been kinder or taken better care of my dog Riley. Riley was seriously ill, and spent four days in the ICU. The vets I spoke to were knowledgeable, kind, and always made sure I had all the relevant information needed to make any necessary decisions. While he was in the hospital the staff sent me photos of his progress which provided a lot of comfort during such a stressful time. I honestly thought I was going to lose my boy but thanks to all of their care and hard work he is now finishing his recovery at home. I would absolutely recommend SASH to anyone.

Fantastic experience: The after care with Jhett has been amazing. There were some complications and SASH were on top of everything, doing everything they could to support me and help Jhett. A big call out to Lachlan who showed such a compassionate manner towards the support and helping me access the correct medication to help alleviate Jhett's symptoms.
