Fantastic experience: Our fur baby girl kitty was unwell with a UTI. I contacted Marion Animal Hospital just after 6pm on a Friday night and was fortunate to get their last available appointment for the night. Really great given it is a long weekend and we would have been stressed out all weekend about our girl, watching her suffering. Dr Michael was really great with her (he even knew she was our princess). He was gentle with her, knowledgeable and honest with us about her condition and what was unknown. He was able to give her antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicine to treat immediately and has given us a follow up plan to ensure her urine is tested all and nothing else to worry about afterward. The reception team were wonderful, friendly and great at multitasking. I would definitely recommend this clinic based upon our experience.

Fantastic experience: The staff is always friendly and super excited when we bring in injured wildlife. If you come across wildlife that looks distressed, injured or in pain please do not hesitate to take it to them. Thanks for always taking them in!

Fantastic experience: Last week, my family and I had to make the devastating decision to euthanasia our sweet girl Love. I would like to thank Dr. Michael and the rest of the team at the Marion Animal Hospital for being on our side during this difficult journey. I’m also very much grateful for the lovely and sweet card that Dr. Michael sent for us. We had definitely made the right choice coming to the Marion Animal Hospital for this journey.

Fantastic experience: I have had many pets during my life but I'm astounded by the care and kindness from Marion Animal Hospital. In September I had to say goodbye to my old cat. Dr June was the vet who helped my cat and put her out of pain. A few weeks ago I received a sweet, handwritten card of sympathy from the Vet (Dr June) in the mail and I was surprised and deeply touched by this. No other veterinary practice did this and I've been to a good dozen or so. Deepest thanks to Dr June and an employee called Holly who made a sad visit less wretched and truly put humanity into their work. I will never forget your kindness.

Fantastic experience: Thank you for such a wonderful experience, purchasing a fluffy bundle of joy. Lucie is settling in really well. Lots of playing and purring. Considering that she's only been here for a couple of days, it appears that she's very happy in her new home. She said to thank you all for the love and care that she received here and that she looks forward to coming back for her next appointment soon. She's picked up her appetite nicely since I called which is also great to see.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I felt the Vets were mostly interested in making money rather than taking care of my pet and trying to to up sale me without considering my financial situation and considering a proper treatment. I do not recommend their service.

Negative experience: The support staff are kind, supportive and genuinely good. They're the only reason this has 2 stars. We went here for years and I honestly believe the lax, indifferent attitude of the vets is why my cat died. My cat kept getting sick and they just wanted to blame us, but never gave us enough information.

Fantastic experience: These vets and staff CARE! They saved my beloved Rosie and I cannot sing their praises enough. We have our puppy in school and they’re so knowledgeable, kind, caring and understanding! I will be taking all 3 dogs (1 nearly died but they saved) to these BEAUTIFUL humans. The BEST!!!

Fantastic experience: When we needed help, they were there. I've been with them for years. I was stressed out when our cat took to my elderly little dog in play just at the wrong time at closing time for MSAH. I took to the road to Plymton to a vet I didn't know and it cost me dearly, NO Service and a bandaged dog a stressed out teenager, and a heap of road works and massive traffic jams on Anzac Highway, and an hour and a half later, I decided to pay for the lack of treatment which could have cost me $270.00 but was $120.00 for the bandage and a night of sleeplessness until the morning when I called Marion at first light. They treated "Max" with the best care I had received for years, I can't thank them enough, if you want professional and caring people to assist you can't do better than this company. It was expensive and I did the last of my Pension but I came away satisfied with the treatment and medication.They couldn't do enough for me. Thankyou so much to all. God Bless All who work there

Negative experience: They lack compassion and are simply money hungry. After telling me my dog was going to die after spending 3 nights with them, in trying cope with my grief, they brought me the bill so I could pay them straight away. Absolutely disgusting people.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to Marion Animal Hospital as I was after a second opinion for our elderly dog. I can't fault Dr Anna. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and empathetic and gave us confidence in making the choice to go ahead with surgery. Our girl came through the tricky surgery, and Dr. Anna did a fantastic job in removing a nasty tumour and has given us some extra time with our girl. Her follow-up phone calls were frequent, and she was genuinely concerned and interested in our dogs recovery. The vet nurses were also lovely and caring and did their best to support us on our very emotional journey. One last thing about this hospital was how extremely clean it is. The reception area is friendly, uncluttered and well stocked

Fantastic experience: We’ve been bringing our fur babies to Marion Animal Hospital for many years now and truly cannot speak highly enough of our experiences—each and every time. Over the years, we’ve faced some really difficult moments, and the team has always been genuinely caring, dependable, highly experienced, and professional, all while maintaining a warmth and humanity that’s so essential during those tough times. I should have written this review long ago, but it was our recent heartbreaking experience that reminded me just how incredible this clinic is. We had to make the devastating decision to say goodbye to a very precious and young member of our fur family. Throughout that painful journey, the team was there for us—patiently answering every question and guiding us through each step with kindness and compassion. When we encountered unexpected setbacks with his memorials, they showed us even more care and consideration, going out of their way to support us. Then yesterday, we arrived home to find a beautifully handwritten condolence card from Dr. Caitlin and the team. It was so thoughtful, understanding, and deeply appreciated. We’re still struggling to come to terms with the loss, and this gesture brought comfort when we needed it most. Even on the rare occasion when a mistake occurred some time ago, the staff addressed it diligently and went well above and beyond to make things right—far exceeding our expectations. We honestly can’t recommend a better clinic to entrust with your beloved fur babies. Their care is unmatched. Also, for those who may find themselves with leftover medications after the loss of a pet, we learned that the clinic works with koala rescue efforts, and you can donate any unused medications—a wonderful way to give back and help others, and we will be doing so. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Caitlin and everyone who has supported us recently, as well as to all the staff over the years. Knowing we have a place like Marion Animal Hospital to turn to when our babies are in need means the world to us. Thank you Pics of our boy so he can be remembered forever

Positive experience: Friendly and very professional staff. When I mention "Marion Animal Hospital" to my dog, she barks and wags her tail! Say no more. Can get very busy sometimes especially after 6pm. Parking can be difficult as a result.

Negative experience: I was a frequent visitor of this vet, however as of my last 3 visits, I am extremely upset, distraught, and dissapointed by the level of service I received from 2 vets imparticular. I was guilt tripped, misled, and told completely incorrect information, which potentially would have led to further harm for my pet, but also further financial straight due to the incorrect information provided by these vets I had informed discussions with. I feel like I was emotionally pushed into choosing an option for my animal that I did not agree with, and therefore I decided against it. Thank goodness I did as my pet has never been better.

Fantastic experience: As a new client, I called up a random morning and they were able to fit me in the same morning and perform emergency surgery on my pup! They saved his life and I am forever grateful. I know they treat their patients with absolute care as my pup is so happy to return to this hospital each time.

Fantastic experience: I am very happy with this practice overall. The time and care given to my little girl was and always has been above and beyond! Staff, nursing staff, and the vets are all very helpful and friendly A special mention to Dr. Chloe, who has been treating and looking after my little dachshund 'Summer' over the last 2 years or so. Chloe is always so caring, kind, and genuinely compassionate, which truly makes the world of difference. The advice and support she offers are both upfront and practical, and she will always give me an indication of what to do or what not to do whilst providing all options available. I definitely feel like my girl is in the best hands with Chloe.

Negative experience: I took an injured wild bird to this vet with the specific request that they do no euthanize it, and I would take it home and care for it as I could. News flash, they euthanized it and I am furious. If I had known they were planning to do so as it seemed they were from the moment of drop off I would have taken the animal anywhere else it needed to go. I wonder how many family pets have been lost to this careless abandon for life. Shameful. Disgusting. Do not take your pets here.

Negative experience: Expensive. I asked for a prescription, but they wouldn't give it to me so that they could charge me 120% more for the same product i can get elsewhere. This is how the big vet groups work now.

Fantastic experience: The clinic is very lovely and welcoming and took great care of our dog and talked to us through his surgery, and after care with follow home calls to check in. We will definitely be taking him back here in the future.

Fantastic experience: Excellent practise. I take my own dog here and also discovered that guide dogs SA also use them when I puppy raised. They are empathetic and understanding to all situations. My dog is very untrusting of clinics and people in general, and she is very well managed here. I prefer all my animals to see Dr Suddens here as I have no doubt they are getting appropriate care and treatment.

Fantastic experience: Such a great clinic with great last minute appointments and the sweetest vets and reception staff who are kind to both pets and their humans. Even if it's a sad or stressful visit, I've never once felt like proper time and care (and wonderful bedside manner) wasn't a priority for all staff. A couple of my little ones have had pretty complex health problems, and the vets here have always taken the time to create a sincere open dialogue with me. You can tell they love animals, big and small. Thank you for always taking such good care of my babies, and for treating both them and me with such compassion and respect ♥

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusted in the service my daughter received from this vet, they cremated my daughter's cat, she paid over $500, received her cat back in a beautiful urn with his name etc, then few days they call up saying they gave her the wrong cat that her cat is still in the freezer. Like wow wth. So then she has to go identify her cat in the freezer, which was so heartbreaking for the whole family. Now they have returned her apparent cat in a nice urn name etc but it's been kept in a freezer and the ashes are now mouldy. How do we know it is even the right cat? This is poor service on the vets behalf, but yet they shown no sympathy or care towards my daughter. That is absolutely appalling. Be careful check your pets.

Dr Anna was incredibly kind and gentle and she did a fantastic job. Booking an appointment was easy and the price was good. 10/10 would recommend bringing your furry friend here!

Fantastic experience: Updated September 2024. We recently had to take our injured Greyhound here for treatment. They were excellent with her, and with us and provided excellent ongoing wound care. Very happy.

Fantastic experience: This clinic is truly amazing! I visited several vet clinics in the area the last two days, and they all charged me a lot without providing clear answers. Today, I went to Marion animal hospital, and the staff there were simply fantastic. The service was outstanding, especially for a Sunday, and the prices were reasonable. They took excellent care of my cat, handling his anxiety with care, sedating him, and conducting the necessary checks and treatment. I can't express my gratitude enough. Last night was tough; the emergency hospital advised we should put him down if we can’t afford 7-15k for diagnosis and treatment, but it turns out he just needed some simple medications. He's improving now, and I'm so thankful to this incredible team! I wish them all the best 100% would recommend to anyone who is seeking great vet service, especially if your pet suffers anxiety/stress. Special thank you to Dr Anna Sinnot, she is brilliant!

Negative experience: It absolutely saddens me to write this review :( First off I’ll start by saying there are WAY too many different vets here and it’s rare I even see the same one. A lot of the vets I also saw, didn’t have the confident or expertise to fully check over my dog. Consults go so fast, where as other vets they take their time to diagnose. I won’t be returning based on my below feedback: I’ve been taking my Border Collie here for the past 2 years. First, due to her limping on her left side. She had X-rays done, where I was informed she had Hip Dysplasia (her case notes say that also, as do the X-ray reports I got). She was then given a course of treatment which didn’t really work. Time and time again, I would visit, try something new, and it wasn’t until she was given pain medication (monthly injections) did she stop limping. I was informed this was the best way to “manage” hip dysplasia. 2 weeks ago, her right side was not good and she began limping, I took her back - and the vet didn’t really check anything and gave her anti inflammatory medication and another pain medication injection. Something still wasn’t okay with her, so I found a new vet who took a look at her X-rays and immediately ordered a CT scan. She has a completely different diagnosis and it’s concerning to the new Vets and specialists why my dog wasn’t given further investigation. I’m really saddened to think of all the animals here that are getting “missed” diagnosed and simply masking pain / injuries, because they don’t have the knowledge or understanding to look deeper.

Fantastic experience: pretty swift, kind. and it is a fairly large bright lit hospital. price wise is just reasonable.

Negative experience: Took our cat here over the weekend after having issues peeing, in pain and distressed. Only to be told he’s stressed and prescribed only pain relief. Now. I’ve had cats my whole life and been through this many times. Enough times to know what SHOULD happen during a vet consult for this. No investigation was offered/suggedted. Just told if he gets worse they’re there until 5. But no info given on where to go if needing help after hours. After another night of an upset cat we took him elsewhere were advised that had we left this any longer our poor baby may have died. He spent the day in hospital with bladder and kidney infection. Yes we got a refund which thankfully has gone towards the next bill. But. Had this place done what should have been done the day before we wouldn’t be where we are now and our poor cat wouldn’t have had to suffer longer than necessary. If you want tireless investigation and genuine care, don’t go here.

Fantastic experience: Excellent care for my amputee cat Zoe. As much as I don't try to ever let her out she just dashes out of the house at times. Wish people wouldn't set traps in suburbia!! They're illegal and intolerable.

Positive experience: The vet that examined my pet was very lovely, it wasn’t hard to get the same day Appointment at all and they ended up calling me to check if I wanted to come in earlier, when coming in for my appointment we didn’t have to wait long at all before we were seen. I was pretty disappointed with the knowledge of vet insurance the receptionist had and I ended up having to put through my claim online despite asking her if they used my provider and her telling me they didn’t, then seeing a sign that they did right in front of her face. It was easy enough to do online so I didn’t argue the fact with her but it did annoy me a little as the only reason I changed to this vet for him was because they said they worked well with my insurance provider, none the less I still hope to work with them and discuss this problem in the future!!!

Fantastic experience: We had to take our cat to this vet unexpectedly. Marion Animal Hospital staff were very kind, friendly and reassuring. Cat needed to stay overnight, they were very transparent with costs and kept us informed throughout the stay of his care and treatment. Cat made a full recovery and we strongly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Friendly and caring vets , we took out kitten there for her vaccination and desex , and even tho she didn't have the best experience with the vaccine the vets were really gentle and handles her with care and were super gentle . Highly recommended place for you pets

Fantastic experience: Marion Animal Hospital, in particular Doctor Emma and her team have been a lifeline for our golden retriever throughout her journey with kidney disease after being diagnosed at an early age. Dr Emma’s compassionate care and expertise has not only extended our dogs life but also enhanced her quality of life. Were super grateful for the teams support, professionalism, and genuine care which have brought comfort to our home during difficult times.

Fantastic experience: Having to take a pet to vet always sucks both emotionally and financially! However, Marion animal hospital staff are VERY friendly and caring and the Vets give you a decent amount of their time to explain procedures and results.

Positive experience: Managed to get an urgent appoinment for my dog. Vet was so caring and even came to my car to help me carry my dog in for the consult. Nursed my dog while I did the paperwork then carried my dog back to my car.

Fantastic experience: Edit*** Abby passed away at Marion vet. It could not have been a more peaceful and graceful experience. Abby's condition was quick but over the course of 4 days I prepared myself in the event she needed to pass. And she didn't. Thank you Marion vet, Ryan and the team. I will sing your praises continually to anyone. Your card was absolutely beautiful, hand written and everything. ☺️❤️ The best vet ever. Abby loves to hang out at the vets. Always seen within 10 minutes and can make day of bookings sometimes within the hour. The vets that have taken care of us are amazing. Financially conscious and always looking out for us making sure we are taken care of. Will always recommended Marion animal hospital.

Fantastic experience: We had to let go of our boy , vet, and staff were very helpful. It wasn't easy for us, but they helped as much as they could . The diagnosis was very quick and seen on time, which led to the discovery of an untreatable condition.

Negative experience: I took my dog in at 11am, The vet wanted to give her an ultrasound which somehow took all day, I just got her back at 8:20pm and had my dinner at 9pm. Exhausted. They are also very bad at returning calls. My call got cut off by their system , they didn't call me back. When I call back, it wasn't the same person I was talking with, they don't know what they are doing. They said the vet will call me back. But never did. They then just booked me at 7:40pm without telling me or confirming with me. I had no idea even when I turned up at the clinic at 7pm after not hearing anything from them, the receptionist didnt inform me that my appointment was at 7:40pm. They just kept me waiting for an hour. When I asked them to check if I can see my dog first, it wasn't allowed, reminding you My dog only just had an ultrasound, why they can't bring my dog out while I m waiting for an hour in their clinic ?! I believe my dog wasn't well looked after there. She was extremely thirsty when she returned home, never seen her drunk so much water. Then she almost passed out, I ve never seen her this tired in her whole life. I checked her nose was very dry which also indicated she is not only dehydrated and also unwell. After they diagnosed her with infection, they didn't care to give her medication while my dog was in their clinic all day till 8pm. She was a lot better before I took her to this clinic. Strongly not recommended. My dog and I were poorly treated after paying $520 for this ultrasound! Strongly recommend to go somewhere else if you care about your furbabies. They don't care about my dogs at all! I m very disappointed with their service

Fantastic experience: We took our very distressed rescue on a Saturday afternoon, he had hurt himself and wad in a considerable amount of pain. I had called and they were able to see him for an appointment within an hour. Ashlee the vet was gentle, calm, compassionate and so respectful of him and us. When we went to pay we were pleasantly surprised at the cost, we then got a follow up call to check in on him early Monday. We will not be taking him anywhere else now. Highly recommended clinic.

Fantastic experience: My family has been taking our dogs (a Frenchie and a Terrier) to Marion Animal Hospital for years and they have been absolutely wonderful. Sometimes the issues our dogs have had, have not been straightforward, but we have always received the best guidance and care. Dr. Emma is our regular vet and she is incredibly knowledgable and kind, the reception staff are lovely, and their animal dental team did a tremendous job too. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Fantastic experience: Been here a few times for our dog. Vet assistants, vets and support staff are friendly and conscientious. Facilities are good, easy to get to and fees are reasonable.

Fantastic experience: Baby Bella had lump removals on the day she was taken in I had to come home and wait for hours. She enjoyed the Uber ride took Sully with her and came home feeling better worries over thanks to the staff who took care of her and the very clean facilities. They really get the need for infection control. Care in the best of hands!!!!

Fantastic experience: Excellent vets with good opening hours especially on the weekend when most things go wrong with my dog. If you have pet insurance it's also really easy to make claims.

Fantastic experience: The service and people are second to none, they are helpful, friendly and caring. They really care for your pets, the surgery is clean and tidy and plenty of places to sit to keep a degree of separation between animals. All the staff have my recommendation and I would never go anywhere else.

Positive experience: Extremely expensive. Spent 800 over 2 months trying to stop my dog from getting ear infections. They were giving me treatments for the infection but nothing to keep them at bay so they would just come back. A different vet and 100 later, he hasn't had issues with his ears for months. The year before, 4000 for a 2 hour operation to fix a broken leg. My sisters dog had a far more complicatex operation which lasted over 3 hours on her dogs front leg (same breed, size etc) pinning and plating 2 bones and it cost her around 2000 at a different vet. Its all about money. Vet sinnott was definitely the best of a bad lot. I've been back a few times since and changed my review. There are good and bad vets here, hard to see the same vet as so many vets come and go. You may get a good one, you may get an average one. My dogs leg is still trouble free after 6 years so that is very reassuring.

Fantastic experience: The staff that work here are so incredibly friendly, i’ve had to call up a few times over the last months after getting a new puppy and the staff at the front desk have always answered all my questions. Darcy at the front desk especially today made me feel so much at ease and spoke so kindly and offered any help that she could. Really recommend the clinic and props to the staff for being amazing

Fantastic experience: First time visit with my dog Boof today, lovely staff brought the paperwork out to me to fill in and made the room closest to the door available for us, as Boof is still a bit reactive. Lovely vet, sorry I don't remember your name, lovely Englishman was kind enough to stay with Boof in the room while I paid the bill. Very happy with our first visit, we'll be back
