Fantastic experience: BAH have been looking after my Chih and families Furbabies since 2019. The Doctors are friendly and extremely knowledgeable. All the Nurses and reception staff are slso talented, caring and always try to facilitate any requests we have. I have no hesitation recommending the Bendigo animal hospital to anyone. Fantastic experience: The vets and staff here are always very friendly and helpful. My 10 year old cat Macey has been there several times this year for unexpected vomiting and dehydration. They were very thorough and after having blood tests and being overnight for rehydration and medication she recovered well. Macey is never stressed when visiting even when immunisations and other procedures are required. I put this down to the care and attention she receives. Thankyou all for looking after my fur boss!

Fantastic experience: I now take my 2 West highland terriers here and I'm just sooooo happy. The entire staff are all just phenomenal and soooo caring. My youngest westie Angus unfortunately required invasive surgery to put pins and a plate insitu to stabilise his ACL. Dr Max is Angus's vet and he also performed his surgery. I was so frightened, however Dr Max was so reassuring and kind and he has actually performed this surgery on his own westie. I knew Angus was in the safest hands in Bendigo and he is doing incredibly well at 8 weeks post op. I am absolutely confident in saying that this is the best veterinary practice in all of Bendigo and I have no reservations in recommending them to absolutely everyone.

Was able to enjoy the last few months with my dog with medication advice, and when the time unfortunately come to say goodbye, the staff couldn't of been better. Fantastic experience: I can’t thank chris and his team enough for the incredible care and compassion they showed during one of the hardest times. When I had to say goodbye to my beloved ziggy ,the team was nothing short of amazing. They treated us with such kindness, patience, and respect — not just as clients, but as people going through something deeply emotional. The way they cared for my ziggy girl in her final moments was so gentle and loving. They gave us the time we needed, explained everything clearly, and made sure she was calm and peaceful. I’ll never forget the warmth and support they offered during such a heartbreaking experience.

Fantastic experience: Excellent care and attention for a very nervous foster dog. The whole team had best interest of dog as their number one priority and lovely follow up too. We assisted with sedation and wake up so the dog wasn't traumatised. She had a very speedy recovery. Thank you team for your love and care

Fantastic experience: My two westies have been BAH patients for many years and we've seen a number of their outstanding vets, in more recent years Dr. Hayley who is always a calm, knowledgeable, compassionate, and reassuring presence for both routine and acute care. More broadly the clinic has a very large range of skills and capabilities, most definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Just dropped in another tiny tortoise and a Rosella. Unfortunately the Rosella will be euthanased, hopefully the outcome for the little fella is much better.

Fantastic experience: Ive taken my dogs there for years because there Very good i highly recomend.all the staff are great. There very caring with your pet and there not in to it for your money. I can tell you now they really do care for your pets and your pets health. My dog milo loves going there he acts like its a day out for him lol. 4 weeks prior to this video my old boy zook who is 14yo old couldnt walk. His back legs had give way on him due to a nerve damage. And there was talk of having him put down. Because theres nothing they could do for him. Through chris’s concern for zook he tried a few things and look at him now in this video. He is the golden colour dog. We take things day by day because we know his day will come soon because its a temporary fix. But i dont care because each day i get to spend with him is a bonus. So if you love your pet i highly recommend the bendigo animal hospital if i could give this place more stars i would. Thanks again guys.

Fantastic experience: The Bendigo Animal Hospital has been looking after my cats Ginja Ninja and Lady Margaret Catwood Grey for almost ten years. They saved Lady's life and took Ginja's eye, and I'm sure they'll both survive a lot longer for it. Always happy to go out of their way to do their best for the animals.

Fantastic experience: We had to take our very sick cat Shadow here. The staff were very friendly and understanding. The Vet, Dr. Hailey was upfront about the prognosis, preceedure and possible costs, which gave a choice. We went ahead. It was a four day stay and a bit touch and go. The Vet was so good and staff kept us updated every day, just an incredible empathetic service. This place go above and beyond with animals welfare while constantly thinking about owners as well

Negative experience: Disorganised. I booked a month in advance for cat vaccinations, as there's a shortage and it's essential if you need to put them in a cattery. I received a reminder text, and then arrived only to be told there were no vaccinations available/they'd all been allocated. They offered a 'health check' (to pay for) but I wouldn't be charged for the vaccinations! It jeopardised our holiday plans, yet they were dismissive, I was told to 'just get a cat minder.' So disappointed. I hope they will make changes to their admin so this doesn't happen to others.

Negative experience: Would not recommend this practice at all. Our cat had been bitten by a snake and was in immense pain dying, we got turned away as they were “too busy to help or assist him” in any way. Really distressing and disappointing.

Fantastic experience: We have been attending this veterinary clinic for quite a few years now and we have always had excellent care for our animals by all of the vets.The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Dr Chris has been absolutely wonderful with our dogs and just recently we have had to say goodbye to our boys and the kindness and the respectful way we and our beloved dogs were treated on the day was so incredibly important to us. Dr Chris genuinely cared for our dogs Buddy & Bear .Alex showed us so much empathy as we prepared for this day and nothing was too much trouble for her with phone calls back & forth. Negative experience: This place doesn’t care one little bit about animals! I needed to see a vet for my dog but was turned away not because they were fully booked it was because I hadn’t been there before. Turning a sick animal away for that you’re a disgrace, do the town a favour and close your business. Only get one star for answering the phone

Fantastic experience: My border collie wasn’t able to walk on her front paw 2 days before Christmas, despite being fully booked the lovely vet Chris saw her during his break and took his time to thoroughly examine and explain her condition to me. All staff were so friendly, empathetic, understanding and welcoming. So happy with this service.

Fantastic experience: I’m from Melbourne and was worried about my dog whilst I was visiting Bendigo. Two days before Christmas and the Clinic was very accomodating in squeezing me in between appointments. Such lovely, friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic.

Negative experience: Every month I call to collect my medication for my cat. This month I was told supply issues we can give you a script. I went to pick up the script to be told it was going to be $15 I asked why (I had no appointment, It's only a peice of paper? So other then the paper and ink this could not have cost more than 50cents) they said it's to cover their costs. What costs?? I have to drive to a different place to get medicine from a chemist where it is more expensive. I told her I'm not paying 15$ for paper. As I was holding my 8 month old baby she then proceeded to tell me she felt threatened and walked away. I didn't raise my voice, I was asking questions. Fair questions if you can't answer them then maybe have some else work the front area and STOP CHARGING CLIENTS MONEY FOR A SCRIPT PRINT OUT. why are you trying to pull as much money out of us as you can I did get my medication from then they did have it in stock. So I paid for the medication not the script

Fantastic experience: I’ve been bringing my dog Poppy to BAH for about three years and have always had excellent experiences with all of the staff. I was grateful today that vet Maddy took the extra time to gain Poppy’s trust when she was (uncharacteristically) really anxious before her vaccinations and heart check. It would have been easy to hold her still for a second but it was beautiful to see her care so much to make it a positive experience for my girl.

Negative experience: Monica is really rude. So is Jamie Tuohey. Wouldn't recommend them at all. Staff lie to make themselves feel better. I would never trust this practice to see or treat any animal. Save your pet and yourself, go somewhere else

Positive experience: Been going here for a while. They've been really good, everyone is very nice, however we were charged $522 for the removal of a grass seed from our dogs nose under anesthesia, and they couldn't even find the grass seed or anything else! McIvor road vet quoted us $250-$300 for the exact same procedure on the same dog. Not sure why the cost difference is so massive.

Negative experience: I had one of the vets out to my pony, looked him over gave a couple of injections and then told me l would be better off putting him down. He really didn't know what the problem was. I asked if it was a bit of colic to which he replied oh it could be but you will have more problems so you should put him down. I will be back in the morning to check him out and see what your decision is. After he left l treated him myself with some warm beer and he was back to his old self with in the hour. Sometimes the old school ways are better and cheaper for that matter...

Fantastic experience: Big thank you to the kind and staff who took care of my dog after she ate rat poison. I could not have hoped for better service for my dog, nor friendlier support for me. Falcor is doing fine

Negative experience: I rang at 9am today Sunday , had my extremely sick dog in the car and was told there were booked out. It’s supposed to be an emergency service from 9-11am. They tried to give me phone numbers two of which didn’t exists and the third rang out. They won’t do a home visit either unless you are a customer of the clinic. Luckily I was treated with kindness and compassion at McIvor Rd Vet and unfortunately had to have my little dog Euthanised as he was so ill. Shame on you BAH.

Negative experience: It was a bad decision to see them. Hungry for money, do not really care about the health of your baby. After a surgery my baby was sent home with a poo attached to her tail. They told us that all went well, but Magic is not with us any more after two months of struggle.

That afternoon our dog got very sick and in my panic I drive my dog to the Bendigo animal hospital . They so kind they accepted me without an appointment ! Fantastic experience: A Big Thank you to the Team at Bendigo Animal Hospital, I have seen Max and Claire and I’ve deftinately made the right choice choosing you guys to treat my furry friend. First thing this morning I was concerned about my dog and the lovely receptionist helped me from start to finish, she explained everything so well and calmed me knowing I was in the right hands and helped me with an appointment on the day. Every staff member is so lovely and kind, always smiling when they walk past in the clinic or in reception, can’t speak any highly of this place! Thank you again to Claire who helped my little dog today.

Fantastic experience: I have brought my cat here for about 5 years and dog for 2. Every single member of staff we dealt with are professional, genuinely caring and kind. My cat has anxiety and they always help her calm down with their gentle demeanor whilst being cheery and engaging my dog. I trust them so much that although I recently moved, I contacted them to see if they recommend any veterinary clinics in the town I moved too. Sad to leave them as my fur babies became comfortable with them and I now need to find another clinic where the staff are just as knowledgeable and truly care for their patients (they have set a high standard).

Fantastic experience: I have been using BAH for many years now. Monday my 2 dogs were play fighting and the little ones eye popped out of its socket. I phoned the clinic straight away and they said to bring her in. I was seen to very quickly. They attempted to put the eye back in with some lubrication however was unsuccessful. I was advised she would need to go under. They explained options and costing to me right then and there. They were caring and very considerate of my dog and also me. i asked them to do what they would do if it was their pet. Claire was brilliant. She called when she said she would, she updated me and no question i asked was a silly one. She asked if i would like to come and see my dog Charlotte (as she had to stay over night) and i was also to bring our other dog who was at home fretting. I spoke with Clare the next morning where she provided me with an update on how she was through the night and the plan moving forward. Upon picking up Charlotte, Clare explained the medication to me and what to do/look out for and booked us in for another checkup. I couldn't be happier with the service. I see a few people complaining about not having their pet treated because they dont have the funds - i think you should investigate the many vets around town that do offer payment plans PRIOR to your pet getting sick and then you will know exactly where to go in future. It is a business and lively hood after all.

Fantastic experience: Saw us at short notice to fit in our Frenchie who got very sick on our trip to Bendigo. Excellent service and attention to detail, such as organising for copies of blood work to be sent to our regular vet in Melbourne. Fiona, our vet, followed up with a phone call to update us on results and provided comprehensive info about his condition. Very thankfull!!

Fantastic experience: Found these guys when our dog became ill through the night after being told by another local vet that they did not have time to see him. The vet could not have done a better job of looking after our sick friend and explaining the possible causes and outcomes of the testing. Blood results were personally call through only a few hours later with further discussion of the results and what was needed to get him well again. Can't thank them enough.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Service from this hospital on a Sunday night when I needed an emergency Caesarian. The other two practices where I am a patient had no emergency cover. Seems amazing that these practices cannot do what BAH do- combine with one another to have an emergency vet on call. Quick, efficient Caesarian, as well as Spey. Assisted by fabulous vet nurse and assistant. Outcome, live mother and puppies, only losing the problem puppy that caused the problem. I cannot express how grateful I was for this service.

Fantastic experience: BAH took care of my cat Last Lilly recently due to a nasty eye injury. As well as administering the around the clock medication, the staff gave Lilly so much love and attention while she was there. As well as the medication, all of the love and cuddles that Lilly received aided in her recovery and Lilly’s eye is now completely healed. I can’t thank the staff at BAH enough and Lilly and I are really grateful for their help.

Fantastic experience: These are the most caring heart warming professional people I have ever encountered on every visit where I turn up so concerned and mindless due to one of my precious family member being ill .....Automatically a sense of calmness as I walk through the door from the Nurses to the Doctors every visit time is taken to explain the in's and out's why and how ,treatment plan procedure and outcome ....Thank You for Your Help ,Support and Kindness......DR Chris and All ....

Fantastic experience: I love this practice. Everyone is so friendly and professional. Chris and Clare have been incredibly caring and thorough with our family boxer and cat. I love that they don't over-treat. The dog loves the pee tree and special green water! Highly recommended

Negative experience: Very disappointed in this clinic . I felt like my animal was not examined properly and we were not taken seriously. After over $500 was spent at this clinic we were left with one very sick little cat and no results . We had to take her to another vet where they were able to determine what was wrong with her instantly and she was in surgery that day. Its been an awful process for my cat which could have been avoided if properly examined in the first place . I'm sad to say I would not recommend this vet to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Caring and attentive to my cat, took the time to explain whole procedure in detail to me.

Negative experience: It was a few years ago my dog had a cancer removed there. We found them to be cold and uncaring... we were also charged $80 for the plastic 'cone of shame' that other vets give for free. We didn't even need that cone as she was old and couldn't reach stitches with her mouth. I hope they have improved since then.

Negative experience: Money hungry rogues,They took out my jack russells fangs because as we were told at the time "his breath stank". He was in for a check up ,they were so busy so we left him there,big mistake.scam scam Did not call to get permissiom,just handed our dog back with the bill,over a thousand dollars. Be careful if you go there .don't let your pet out of sight, stay with them all the time. It's a pity they dont allow negative reviews because mine would be -5
