Negative experience: Had an unfortunate experience at this vet - we paid in advance for tests and medication for our dog only later to find out the vet can’t provide the medication we had paid for. We were offered a credit on our account to the tune of about $1000. When returning and trying to use said credit we have now been told they can’t find the credit and we somehow owe them $250. Buyer beware, we should have insisted on a full refund the first time around.

Fantastic experience: I’m blown away by the service we received for both my cats on different occasions just recently. Dr Amit was so kind, extremely thorough, explained every step of the process and very professional. The vet nurses and front admin staff were all lovely also and I feel heard and valued from the moment I stepped into the practice. Thank you so much for your wonderful service. I will never go anywhere else with my cats!

Negative experience: I will always remember that Sai vet not only mismanaged my cat, but then ignored my formal complaint and finally LIED in responding to my online review. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE! ZERO stars! This is NOT a place to bring a pet in an emergency situation. They may be ok as as GP, but failed to diagnose my cat accurately twice. There is no triage if you don't look at the animal. I came in with a cat with injuries from an unknown source and I suggested a fight or hit by a car. The vet decided a cat fight. The vet did no stitches or tests and decided might be borderline dehydrated and to return if not drinking. I now believe she had blood loss not dehydration. On return with a now very ill cat, blood tests revealed severe blood loss with a suggestion of going to Murdoch vet for a transfusion. I queried internal blood loss and was told she probably rather nicked a vein. Of course, on arrival at the Murdoch vet they said it was now too late and she had internal blood loss from a car accident. We had come in too late. BUT I had gone to a so called emergency vet, just clearly the wrong one. I emailed a complaint which was received by Sai vet, but NEVER got a response. All in all a very costly (3 X vet bills) and traumatising couple of day for my cat and our family. Please, please, don't use this vet for emergency services, they clearly need more training and their practice manager doesn't support them or deal with complaints. EDIT - you are now proceeding to LIE about offered tests and delay in treatment. NO tests were offered initially and only pain relief and antibiotics given. Had your initial vet offered tests, they would have been performed. Honestly, I believe she was wanting to do a planned operation on another patient and was not really wanting to deal with an emergency case on a Friday morning. The second visit was clearly too late, but the first certainly was not. And why no reply to my written complaint? Clearly if refusal of tests in in the notes they have be doctored. All offered tests were performed. I went to Murdoch direct from your practice as recommended by your vet for a blood transfusion. We don't have a crystal ball, but she would have had a better chance if the first vet offered ANY tests. It is a BLATANT LIE to say I refused tests. If it is in the notes, then either the vet or you are lying to cover up the errors

Fantastic experience: With the help of some angelic-hearted sponsors, I managed my local 'dumpster' cat clowder to it's conclusion in 2022. Over the period of 9-years I saw a number of SOR vets, mostly for spay and neuter surgery, with the odd other mission. I read from the few, least-approving comments here, and was truly shocked. I think injustice has been done, and here are my reasons why: After recently going missing for a day, Buddy, a dumped kitten I took home from the alley, turned-up injured late on a Friday night. That meant an out-of-hours vet visit, but SAI Vet Hospital weren't too bad on the initial weekend consultation fee. Trust me, you can get extorted handily for weekend vet work in Perth, and you don't want get stuck with limited options for a merciful end, on a Sunday morning. Buddy's case became complex sometime after the initial consultation. I saw senior vet, Dr Amit Setia, during a second visit. We both agreed that surgical intervention would be required. Despite my mini mental-health crisis as a result of hearing the quotation, Dr Setia didn't mind that I insisted on seeking other quotes. Um...I did that, then immediately booked Buddy for the next surgery at SAI. I also saved, as the second consultation was at no cost. However brief Buddy's second visit may have been, in my experience I found it unusual not to be billed for the full consult. On the day of the surgery, I trusted SAI with my beloved Buddy-boy. He was by then in an horrific condition, with stubborn stains from his manky tail. They gave me back a clean, fluffy cat, minus one tail. I'm entirely thankful to the veterinary specialists who looked after my kitty, especially to the nurses, and also to surgeon Dr Setia, for such a beautifully internally stitched wound. When I went to pick Buddy up, I had one-on-one time with a led nurse, who explained the written care plan I was given. This involved things to be watchful for, as well the actions to take in their event. Along with the medications, I was also equipped with wound care supplies, and the cone of shame. This was all included in the price for the surgery, as was the subsequent wound inspection consultation. I'm pleased to report that Buddy is now back on patrol, and would like to thank the animal-loving, and very professional team at SAI Veterinary Hospital. You put the purr back in my beloved kitty.

Fantastic experience: We drove almost 1 and a half hours to get here but it was so worth the trip. Absolutely amazing service, very friendly, professional and caring. Dr Yun Han Lau was amazing he got on the floor with our furbaby to make him and us comfortable before he then started to examine him. He listened to our concerns and help us in a time of need. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: The team at SAI always take such good care of us, our little guy nacho had a scratch to his eye and was quite uncomfortable. We were very greatful that his pain was managed so well and his care was high quality including the information and support for us in how to manage his care while he continues to heal.

Fantastic experience: We had an outstanding experience at SAI Veterinary Hospital. The team was compassionate, and highly professional. Our cat was seen by Dr Amit who comprehensively assessed our cat, explained every step very clearly and answered all our questions with genuine care. A few tips that Dr Amit gave made it easy for us to look after our cat after we got him home. The hospital is clean, well-organized, and equipped with modern facilities, which made us feel confident that our cat was receiving the best possible care.

Fantastic experience: I cannot rate Dr Amit Setia highly enough . Took my dog in with what I thought was an eye infection and he took the greatest care with her and diagnosed an abscess . His care and compassion were outstanding as well as his knowledge and professionalism . We felt that our dog was in the best possible hands .

Fantastic experience: Big thanks to Dr Amit and the team at SAI Vet. We went through a tough time with our dog and his illness but Dr Amit and his team were fantastic. They were always available, involved us in his care, called after hours to check-in on progress and to offer advice, and always kept us fully informed. I have been to several vets in Perth but Dr Amit is easily the most caring and thorough that we have come across. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: Shocking vet! If I could give a 0 I would! My elderly cat was given tramadol by Dr Amit and instead of it helping her she was wide awake and didn’t help her at all! Also our dog Chopper went to this same practise with bleeding from the bottom $2500 later, wrong meds and terrible service and incompetence, if it wasn’t for PVE correcting all the mistakes Sai vet made he would have passed away! We now take both our cat and dog for any emergency to PVE they are amazing and know what they’re doing! We also consulted this vet about the tramadol our cat was given and they said it’s a big no no! This vet should be shut down!

Negative experience: Stay away people worst vet l have ever been to, incompetent staff also given Expired medication just to list a few, it’s a big fat 0 from me. Let’s get this straight, The only person I was abusive to was you yourself after ripping me $2500 and nearly killing my boy Chopper. Thank god for Perth vet emergency, took him straight there and got him sorted and only cost me $500. Your staff at Sai vet are very incompetent and have no idea what they are doing enough said.

Negative experience: Please seriously make sure you do not take your vet to this clinic the owner Doctor Amit blocked myself and my partner from face book as he is hiding the truth. This vet should be closed down for good. Stay away from this clinic! If you are thinking of taking your pet your little family member to Sai Vet clinic think about your beloved pet going into the clinic unwell and coming back out even worse and not receiving a diagnosis but instead been given medication steroids that made him bleed from the bum and he ended up with haemorrhagic diarrhoea. We also came home to find medication they gave us was expired and the label was peeling from the edge of a bottle I peeled it to look under it and it had an expired date on it. A new in date label of expiration was covered on top of the old one. When I contacted the owner to speak to him he was unavailable and sent me texts messages to say it may have been a honest mistake or a manufacturing error. He then added the person concerned no longer works for them. I have posted on his face book comments to let people know about paying top dollar for expired covered up medication but he blocked me from face book. These vets do not know what they are doing and cannot even give a diagnosis but are quick to take thousands of dollars from you. Our dog was taken straight from Sai Vets to Perth Vets Emergency in Cannington which is a 24 hour seven days a week clinic and they diagnosed Chopper with Haemorrhagic diarrhoea caused by steroid intake we were given all the correct medication and told not to give him steroids and they made a plan for the next 5 days plus a eating plan all at a reasonable cost. They even diagnosed Chopper with a one sided laryngeal paralysis and yet chopper went into Sai vet with bad coughing and vomiting and they failed to pick up on it. I spoke with the Senior vet today/Owner of Sai Vets who was not understanding nor reasoning and he asked me a question. The question was has Choppers Larynx healed or is it getting better. I said you are a qualified Vet you tell me because I said to him once the Larynx drops it cannot be repaired and if the other side goes then the prognosis is bad. I am absolutely disappointed and disgusted that our boy nearly passed away and all this vet could say to me was it is trial and error 50/50 I cannot believe a vet would say that to me when we put full trust in there hands that our pets will be looked after. I cannot thank Perth Vets Emergency in Cannington enough they saved our boys life and he was on the mend the very first day we administered the correct medication. Please think twice before taking your pet to Sai Vets.

Fantastic experience: Our cat Dee Dee was recently diagnosed with diabetes and became very ill. After a disappointing experience at an emergency hospital, we were feeling hopeless—until we found Dr Amit. He’s been absolutely amazing: knowledgeable, compassionate, and always willing to help. His team is just as wonderful—friendly, caring, and clearly love what they do. We’ve now switched vets and finally feel Dee Dee is on the right path. Highly recommend this clinic to anyone!

Negative experience: I was disappointed with my recent experience at SAI Vet. When I booked my dog’s appointment, the lady who answered the phone sounded short and distracted. She initially offered me a Monday time slot (Monday was when the vaccination was due), but when I said, “Let me just check to see what time I finish work,” she didn’t allow me the time and automatically offered the Saturday instead, saying it would be okay. She also told me that coming in two days earlier for the vaccination wouldn’t be an issue. When I went in, the vet informed me that doing the vaccination early would actually void the warranty. This left me frustrated, as I had taken the time to come in based on the information I was given, only to find out it wasn’t correct. They did offer me a free check-up as compensation, but why would I want to trust a vet who is giving out conflicting information in the first place? I feel the staff should be more careful with the advice they give and take the time to properly check details with clients, especially when it involves something as important as a pet’s health and vaccine records.

Negative experience: My Dog Doc went there in an emergency Friday 5th September at around 6PM, he was bleeding heavily from his bum area, arrived by uber as we had permission from Reception, they made him wait outside reception for 1 hour, by the time he got inside his condition became worse, they put him on some drugs but didnt look into what was wrong with him, due to poor service we got him taken to Perth Vet Emergency who were awesome, but after fighting for his life until 10am the next day, on the right treatments he passed away, no handover from sai vet was done, he passed away, we lost our baby, we will not be using sai vet again, PVE said the waiting time outside Sai Vet and the lack of investigation was critical as he had severe issues , be carefull who you trust, please use other vets.

Fantastic experience: I was so thankful that I was assisted by Rosie, I am autistic and really struggle keeping it together when I am anxious. She was calm and direct as well as the two vets I spoke with, they were also very clear and caring about supporting my dog. Fantastic experience: About three months ago we needed an emergency vet for my Rottweiler, tried around my area but he was dealt like an alien dog, while he’s an absolute gentle giant. Thankfully we ended up with Sai Vet, All of them including the receptionist, nurses and doctors have compassion, excellent communication skills, adaptability, strong clinical knowledge, patience, empathy, the ability to make quick decisions. Yesterday he had his ligament surgery, he was well taken care off. I would highly recommend them, my dog is always looked after very well in the care.

Fantastic experience: What an excellent veterinary practice. My girl, Bessie, inhaled a grass seed. The first vet we went to did a nasal flush and a scope but was unable to locate it. No vets in this area could fit her in for an endoscopy for at least five days. Sai Vets were called this morning at 8. Had her in for surgery at 9. Located the grass seed and removed it. No messing about. Much relief, as my girl was very unwell and distressed. The grass seed was very large and had lodged sideways right down into her nasal cavity. Thankfully their equipment was able to delve deeper to find it. She’s a large mastiff. Thankyou Sai Vets and nurses for taking great care of Bessie and getting her in for urgent treatment at such short notice. I will highly recommend you.

Negative experience: Long journey to find out we have to put our cat down. This vets told my mother our cat blood test results were fine. recommended us to get a ultrasound done, once this was done we found out she wasn't FINE she is in organ failure but should of been able to tell from the full blood test as other vets when we had a sick cat has the same thing but was able to tell for the blood test. So our poor car ha been in pain and discomfort for weeks for what money in their pockets. Staff at the desk don't know how to attach a pdf to an email had to tell them more than once file wasn't added and need training in other fields as well. Don't recommend for pets will not be going again spent close to 700 to find out something that should of been picked up in a blood test. No need to go into the stuffing around for booking for the ultrasound.

Fantastic experience: Went in at 11pm - i was seen to straight away and they had a plan in action within 10 mins. My Pomeranian had a scuffle and ended up almost losing his eye. The vet surgeons decided to give him a chance of sight instead of removing and we will see if he retains his vision in a couple of weeks. Thank you Dr Amit. You are a kind, giving and selfless professional. You didn’t even flinch when you saw my pop-eyed dog and i trusted you straight away! You have looked after me on price and we are very thankful.

Charlie loved everyone and was so co-operative with the staff always a good sign. Dr was so wonderful in giving extra advice and knowledgeable and supportive of extra holistic treatments. We always drive past as it is in such a prominent easy to access location, Cnr Leach Hwy and High Road. This was our first time. Fantastic experience: Really happy since we have found this vet. They are so accommodating, and Dr Aaron is super friendly and so personable with our dog. Very caring, and takes the time to explain the issues/s and options. They are well priced too, and the peace of mind that they are a 24 hour emergency vet too means if anything happens at any time, we know our pup is in good hands. Conveniently located and the reception staff are lovely too. They've even helped assist us with our insurance claims, and have a wonderful bedside manner with the animals. After 3 different vets, we are very happy to have finally found our furever vet!

Had the disgusting disrespect to charge me euthanasia fees Chased out door with Cremation pamphlets- DISGUSTING- killed my dog without a blink

Our greyhound was bitten by another dog and was completely traumatised and shaken up after the event. The staff took such good care of him and were so gentle with him. Fantastic experience: in a moment of need this week and not havin a vet in the cbd, i spent a kaotic morning trying to get a vet to look at my girl who was bitten by 2x dogs n had a nasty busted lip n nose .. i was pointed at sai by a vet from a nearby clinic n told to go see them as they were very "compassionate" n true to her word these people went above n beyond from settling me n talkin me thru it all fully n the front counter girls did amazing helping get my girl sorted and in for surgery pronto the vet was well spoken n trained n gave good info and vibes i needed the experience from start to pick up fully fixed was so above any id seen or had n ill speak highly of these guys and ref them for life .... corey and huni buni

Negative experience: They recommended very expensive disabling surgery on my cat. I went to our local vet who said it was not necessary and treated her with antibiotics and painkillers. Our cat is doing fine now. Beware!

Fantastic experience: Always happy with the quality of care received here, all the staff are knowledgeable and caring. I always feel I am well informed and the team is doing their best for their clients. I recently lost my pooch to cancer and the team were wonderful from diagnosis, the treatment, the phone calls for help and the inevitable end they were there for me the whole way. Prices are comparable to any other vet in Perth (equipment isn't free or government subsidised so if it's cheap you have to wonder why) Highly recommend the team at SAI - Thanks Guys :)

Negative experience: DO NOT ATTEND THIS VET. After attending this vet at 5am 11/9/23 we were told our bill would be between $1400-$1800. Later that evening during a visit to see my dog I was told the bill had hit $2200 and that we would expect an extra $400 for the rest of the treatment needed by the time we picked her up the next day at 10am. I didn't say anything at this time as thought "ok a few extra hundred for miscalculation". Let it be. Receive a call the next morning to be told the bill for pick up was now $3600. I then advised about the discussion the day before. She hung up and spoke to the owner Amit who we saw when we first arrived and also the vet (Anne) I saw the night before. Called me back to advise she was unaware that the owner had capped the treatments at $2800 for us. Go to pick my dog up at 10am to be told I could not use Gap pay on the $2800 bill and if we wanted to use Gap pay she would have to put through $3600 "as insurances don't accept discounts". I asked her if I could just pay the $2800 (minus previous deposit) and claim the rebate myself and she told me if I did that then I would be more out of pocket. At this stage of the back and forth and Woolworths insurance also being confused when I called them so she had to discuss with senior management (I was waiting for a call back), I just wanted to see my sick dog and take her to Waves for her appointment. I just paid the Gappay amount and left. Since then have found out that SAI vet did the dodgy just to get more money out of the service. Would never go back here and would implore anyone else thinking of attending here to just go straight to waves if your normal vet is not opened. Waves were not only clear with the costs prior to treatment they were also so accurate in the quotes and did not take advantage of us in such a vulnerable state. STEER CLEAR OF SAI VET RESPONSE TO VET - maybe you should teach your staff this. Fraudulent acts will be investigated. Calls were made at the time whilst I was in the vet. There was no abuse on my part so defamation will not be tolerated. Clearly the price increases were discussed and when a price for discharge was discussed this should have been honoured regardless of how payment was made. You took advantage of insurances to increase the payment to your vet. That was the bottom line. The bottom line is that your staff told me incorrect information just to get more money. We didn’t have a problem with the first two price increases. But going then from $2800 to $3600 just to be able to use gap pay is incorrect. And telling me that my out of pocket would be less if I did it through your vet at $3600 rather than paying myself the full amount to your vet and claiming myself is incorrect and all just a ploy to get more money. This is the problem

Negative experience: I understand there are animal emergencies, but next time tell the people waiting over an hour, that there will be a delay. Until I asked, I was ignored, then told I'd need to wait an additional 25 minutes. Horrible experience.

Fantastic experience: Sai vet is the go to vet for your fur babies! The staff are amazing, they go above and beyond to help you out, making all pets feel relaxed and comfortable. Not to mention it's open 24/7. Really well priced and a nice clean practice. Definitely recommend!

Negative experience: Stressful overall and treated coldly. Took my dog here on a long weekend $3000+ to monitor him overnight, x rays, fluids etc. They want half the money upfront as a deposit, I had $800 in cash cos u know -some people can't access that kind of money til a business day and with family away being a holiday can't borrow it either. So they stopped treating him about half way through but they wouldnt give my dog back til i had the money and instead put me onto lending agencies. A lot more happened that was extremely appaling customer treatment but i cant write a review that long on my phone easily. Awful experience and I dont reccomend going here

Negative experience: Admin staff were lovely but unfortunately we were very dissapointed with the vet consult we received. The vet diagnosed my dog's condition, we were charged $350 for the consult and some anti nausea tablets to take home. He also mentioned it might be an underlying ear infection causing the issue and said it would cost an extra $1000 for blood tests and an xray to investigate further, also option to spend additional $1000 for overnight hospital stay. But he barely did any physical examination and didn't take a look in my dogs ear at all. We took our dog to our usual vet 2 days later as he wasn't getting any better (the SAI vet told us the vertigo and nausea should resolve by itself in a few days). Our vet straight away looked in his ear and said there was an obvious yeast or bacterial infection and prescribed antibiotic tablets and ear drops. Within a day or 2 of him now having proper diagnosis and treatment my dog was so much better and now on his way to looking fully recovered. Though the experience with SAI definitely left me reluctant to return there.

Negative experience: They won’t release vet notes or results to owners, they insist on making the claim on your behalf to pet insurance. Unsure as to why my dog needs her X-rays and blood results to be private from me? ‍♀️

Negative experience: I don’t want to say much, but the cold behaviour from one of the Asian vet really put me off. I hope they can provide a safe and comfortable environment for the people coming in emergency for their pet’s wellbeing.

Positive experience: Very helpful. I've been here for couple of times as this vet is really great for emergency. It's quite expensive on the weekends, so I recommend coming on the weekdays if it's just a minor things.

Negative experience: Be where with this vet just money important than help. Last years my freind dog had having puppy die because they fault. Came to the vet should deposit money because don't bring they not help until money in. They should know if border collie after birth 3 or 4 have a break for 9 until 12 hours. They not wait until in the morning and they did Cesar and the dog die. I hate vet like this just important money than helping animals. Now my baby grandson no mother

Fantastic experience: Faced with an emergency, our little Aussie Terrier was admitted to the care of the SAI vet team. Over the next 5 days, he was loved, and brought back to life by this fabulous team of vets and vet nurses. Every member of staff we interacted with was knowledgeable, patient and just nice! Whilst I would love to never go there again, it's reassuring to know this 24hr team are always on hand. Bear thanks you.

Negative experience: 24hrs vet. Can do attitude but had a terrible experience due to multiple miscommunication and somewhat forced to bring in my pet for review when unnecessary. Again. 300 dollars down the drain to get the cat weighed and be told the same thing, even though we only needed to pick up a reoccurring prescription. Cat is fine. Don't recommend this place for minor things.

Fantastic experience: Dr Amit was amazing! Very honest and open with everything and reasonably priced too!! He was the first vet who has truly taken his time to get to know my dogs and make them comfortable with him, instead or straight away asking us to put the dogs on the table for their check up! Them being open 24/7 is also a big plus because we don’t have to ever worry about anything

Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience bringing my dog into SAI veterinary hospital. The vet and nurses there were very caring and kind and treated my dog as if he was there own. Highly recommend!!

Positive experience: Good that they are open 24hrs but it was very difficult for my Nan to navigate the QR forms for everything. Reception staff were oblivious to her difficulties, she was already stressed about her little dog, then having to download a code reader and update stuff on her phone just to fill in a details form when we had already been assessed at another vet clinic who sent a referral through.. when Nan first asked if she could have a paper form she was told no its quicker. When Nan got nervous about the QR codes (because people have had their bank account accessed by them) and again asked if she could just write it down she was told by a different person at the desk it's just the system. It was not by any means quicker at all (lucky my daughter knew how to help) On top of all of that, they finally presented them with paper forms when they went out to see if the vet was coming back over 20 minutes later after saying they would just get the dog pain relief..the animal was in pain all that time. Otherwise place seems clean and provides seating in reception.

Fantastic experience: Dr Amit is so knowledgeable and caring, he isn’t just all about the $$ He did everything he could to care for my elderly dog Baxter. Dr Julie and team set up the room so beautiful for Baxter’s last moments. Thankyou to everyone for looking after him and being so kind. Highly recommend this practice

Fantastic experience: We recently had our cat dental surgery here. The doctors and nurses are professional and treated the little one with great compassion. Reception ladies are responsive and friendly. Great service with fare price. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: Unfortunately, the Veterinary ( possibly 2 Veterinarians, which I’ll explain soon) failed in the diagnosis and recommended that I euthanise my Pomeranian. The vet had me believing that my boys heart was failing, I had explained several times that he suffered from anxiety and for that reason I decided he wasn’t going to die at a vet clinic and took him home to plan the arrangements. When my usual vet - Ram - Canning vale Veterinary Hospital came to my home believing that my Pomeranian was suffering from a heart condition, Ram did a complete check of all my boys vitals and found no such heart condition, hence, thankfully my boys still alive. It was my first time going to SAI and in the past 20 years, I have used many Vet Clinics and I was puzzled when I was being seen to at SAI. On arrival I had a male ( wearing a stethoscope ) take me into the treatment room, check my dogs vitals, ask lots of questions and he then left the room. A few minutes later a female entered the room. At no time did either introduce themselves. We’re they both Vets? There has only been one Vet that I trust, he is caring, considered, not motivated by money or saving time. Ram from Canning vale Veterinary Hospital really cares about he’s clients and patients.

Fantastic experience: On a public holiday we took our dog in and she was seen immediately. The young vet was wonderful (as was the receptionist nurse). If I lived on this side of the friver, this would be my regular !

Positive experience: Was the only place who would see our puppy on a Sunday. Were really helpful and got us in quickly. Fixed him up and kept us in the loop... could not ask for more. Friendly staff. Was um... heart stoppingly expensive but I guess that's across the board. 1400 for an xray and ultrasound. Sunday rates i suppose.... Super glad he didn't need surgery. Thank you SAI.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful contact with the lady who answered my call to the emergency line on the 20/12/22 regarding my parrot that had consumed medications. Went above and beyond to liaise with myself and the veterinarian as well as searching for alternatives and information regarding treatment.

Positive experience: We had to use this vet for a friend's dog at 2.30am, and the staff were very helpful and attentive. I would definitely use them again.
