Fantastic experience: Was a great experience for my elderly cat He was treated extremely well

Fantastic experience: Caring, skilled vets. They always start with the most sensible/simple and cost effective treatment then work their way up the ladder as needed. 9 out of 10 times the most simple treatment is all that is required. My previous vet was the opposite and I’ve saved thousands of dollars at Redlynch in the last year as I have four dogs, two of them elderly with a chronic disease. On that note, the best for pets plan is a fantastic peace of mind for animals that are too old to be insured or aren't insured for whatever reason.

Fantastic experience: The vet was very patient and listened to the concerns about my dog. He understood that I was frustrated as my dog was being treated for the condition for over 1 year . Chad stated that he was going to treat the root cause of the problem and issued medication for the problem. In less than 1 week I can already see improvements in my dog's condition. Very pleased with Chad.

Negative experience: I attended this clinic for many years and was very satisfied with the yearly vaccinations until my last recent visit in May 2026 when I was overcharged. Although part credit on an over priced error was recognised and promised it was not actually reimbursed but on charged with an additional duplicate billing on the Lepto Vac. Staff were unfriendly and unsympathetic. I guess all good things come to an end.

Fantastic experience: I was greeted in a timely manner by friendly receptionists. The vet tech was friendly, gentle with my cat, explained everything in a manner easy for me to understand and gave clear instructions of how to medicate/treat. Overall great experience.

Fantastic experience: We have been using this wonderful service for 2 years since moving north. They are great with both our dogs, one has anxiety and the other is a huge lawless puppy. When I had an incident out front they called an ambulance for me and immediately took in our doggo, fed and kept him till we could pick him up. Even though it was between Christmas and new years and on the weekend!!!!! Trust them to look after your furry loved ones (and no i don't mean husband's)!!!

The receptionists always respond promptly to phone and email inquiries, and they always provide helpful reminders about annual vaccinations and complimentary dental checks. They take really good care of my cat

Positive experience: Nails cut $39.95. They didn’t try to sell me anything. Took 10 mins. I didn’t have to hold him or anything, and the dog seems happy. So I would come back again

Fantastic experience: Took our 8 wk old pup there very early after getting absolutely NO help from the 24 hr emergency vets on Anderson St ( wont ever go back there) The staff could not have been more understanding, helpful and compassionate. Kept him there for a few hours and had a phone call from the vet to explain what had been done. We have a healthy happy pup again.

Negative experience: For 10 + years I have been following Max as a loyal customer, going to various locations. Travelling from Edmonton to Redlynch now for years. To find out there is no longer facilities for Saturday bookings is disappointing. I am sure I wouldn't be the only person who would find this difficult.

Fantastic experience: Best vets in town . Kind and compassionate and really know there stuff

Fantastic experience: Thank you Pet Hub Redlynch - we were staying at a nearby caravan park, and used you for doggy daycare twice whilst on a couple of tours. Staff were very welcoming, and I think our two year old beaglier, Maisie, thought they were lovely too.

Fantastic experience: Due to my dog’s poor immune system we are at the vet on a regular basis. Max is always amazing and caring. Further update I have to add that Deb is amazing. She is excellent and goes above and beyond. Always cheerful and caring!

Fantastic experience: I have an elderly (and very cranky) chihuahua and both Dr Max and Dr Chad have been wonderful in their care of her. They are both very patient and understanding of her personality... quirks... and were crystal clear about the costs of her surgery before it commenced. They were even able to offer advice on the best way to keep costs down whilst maintaining her health. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Max and his team for all of your fur baby's needs.

Negative experience: Worst place ever. Big rip off!! Why do vets overcharge you because we love our furbabies?? They prey on our vulnerability. I was told when I booked that they wouldn't charge a consultation fee because I booked service & because I asked for nails to be clipped they added $90 extra each cat. Will never see them again. Had I known they would use Bravecto for flea treatment I would have gotten from Amazon & dinner it myself. The cat who they chipped had a sore around the area he was injected with it. Clearly they know how to rip you off. Take your furbabies elsewhere!

Fantastic experience: Our experience with Max is consistently good. He is a very experienced vet and has a friendly and reassuring manner when dealing with our pets. He takes his time with clients and is easy to talk to.

Negative experience: With the new owners at the vet, there are two main concerns. The first being that the doggy daycare service is no longer provided. I've had my dog in there for over a year and it was really beneficial for her so it's a shame to not have that. The second concern is that vet services aren't being offered on the weekends which is incredibly inconvenient for myself and others who work full-time. I hope this can be changed soon.

Negative experience: Have known Max and many of his staff for a long time,they have been an amazing team, the new changes of 5 days open and 3 days this week was ridiculous, even in best for pets no emergencies available after being there the previous day. Had to plead with another practice to take care of my cat who had a serious illness. This is no blight on the staff as it's out of their control including Max but the new owners are running a terrible show so far

Negative experience: Staff were really friendly, but the cost was way to high for the vet to say she, my cat, had a bug and needed antibiotics, $178 dollars way to expensive, don't think I'll be going back there.

Fantastic experience: I am incredibly grateful to the receptionist Amanda, the lovely vet nurse, and the most caring and professional young male vet who provided compassionate care and assistance during the end of life for my beloved fur boy, Axil. I made a stressed phone call just as they were closing, and they kindly kept the doors open and attended to Axil at the car as I arrived. The warmth and professionalism I received were deeply appreciated during such a difficult time. Warmest Thank you Pet Hub ❤️

Fantastic experience: I can highly recommend Max & the team at My Pet Hub Redlynch. I only wish I started taking my senior dog (Coco) to Max sooner after having a bad experience at my previous vet. Since seeing Max, Coco has been a completely different & happy pooch ☺️

Negative experience: Originally I found this vet clinic to be friendly, approachable and caring however over the last year I noticed a huge difference in customer service and overall feels like everyone there is walking on eggshells and it has a very bad energy vibe in the place. I purchased the Best for Pet option for my puppy and the staff didn't appear to understand how it worked - when I queried my charges I wasn't assisted in a friendly manner however I luckily received some money back after dealing directly with Best for Pet but with no apology for the confusion from the clinic. I do not recommend this vet unfortunately and have continued to hear terrible stories about the place from staff who have left. There are many much better vet clinics in the Cairns area!

Fantastic experience: Max is a really good and professional vet. My dogs has been using their services since 2016. Best for pet insurance cover all of the consultation fees thru out the year which is really recommend every pet owner to join too.

Fantastic experience: I've been taking my doggies here since they opened and before that to Max when he was in Brinsmead. He was the only vet my grumpy old Kelpie would let near her. Saw my current doggy today on very short notice today, too. Best vets i know. Thanks, Max.

Negative experience: They just want your money. They charged me almost $300 for my dogs medication and didn’t tell me I could get a script and fill it as a pharmacy where I can get the same amount and dose for 1/3 of the cost at $109. I found out vets can give you a script from another vet clinic when I took my partners dog. I called my pet hub and asked why no one told me and they just said, ‘ I don’t know and cannot speak for why you weren’t told.’ I am honestly disgusted in My Pet Hub and their hunger for money. The appointments are more expensive than any other vet I’ve been to and 99% I had to wait 45 minutes minimum for my appointments. They tell you half an hour and the person in-front you the same thing.

Fantastic experience: Dr Max was very thorough and informative- he really took the time to answer questions and explain solutions for my cat. Desk staff and nurses were also very helpful and friendly

Fantastic experience: Girls at the front desk were super friendly, helpful, kind and empathetic. The vet we saw was Max. He addressed my dogs skin issues that I have been trying to treat with a previous vet for 2 years. I walked out very happy with a treatment plan that didn't break the bank and a follow-up appointment in 2 week's time to see how the treatment is working. Max was genuine, knowledgeable and explained my dogs issues and the cause that no other vet has taken the time to do. I would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service and care for my doggo, he ate rat poison right before their closing and they didn’t turn me away and tell me to go to the emergency vet, they got him in straight away and took care of my boy with the most care ❤️❤️

The staff were so friendly and welcoming and cared for my fur kids beautifully! They were all very content when I picked them up, they were not at all stressed I would 100% recommend them to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr Max he is an excellent vet! He repaired my Rottweilers ruptured CCL she is now running around and back to her old self again. The price was extremely fair and included a lot of after surgery care such as laser therapy, arthritis shots, follow up x-ray and checkups which other vets don’t include. The staff are very friendly and answered all the questions I had regarding the surgery and put my mind at ease.

Fantastic experience: My cats stayed in cat boarding for a week and they loved it! The nurses sent my photos of them playing with my fur babies and it is so stress free knowing that vet nurses were looking after them! If anything happened I am confident it would be picked up straight away and just meters away from where they can be treated.
