Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing team who looked after our little Tex after neighbours dog attack. They worked for days trying the save our little pup and to make him the most comfortable he could be. Unfortunately for little Tex, the trauma and damage by the neighbours dogs was too much for him in the end. We buried our fur baby at home, and when we picked him up the vet staff had presented him so well with a ribbon and flowers. And afterwards they also sent us a bunch of flowers in sympathy. Amazing caring team and we are so lucky to have this service in Cairns. Thank you Emergency vet team- you are all truly amazing.

Fantastic experience: I have used this vets about a year ago and gave it a one star. Terrified to use it again the other night but an emergency dictated a call. WHAT A DIFFERENCE, friendly, competent, fast, efficient, helpful, caring, professional, reassuring, positive. Pup home and recovering. THANKYOU SO MUCH. PS I was surprised for time of night, treatment how much value for money it was.

Fantastic experience: Bloody dog ate a nicotine patch, super deadly, rang the emergency vets and rushed him from port Douglas. Straight in the door, into the Doctor and had him purged within minutes. Legendary service, amazing lady in reception on Sunday night and very reasonable price for EMERGENCY care.

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately we lost our dog last weekend but the team at Emergency vets were amazing. They made us feel comfortable and the process was smooth and even though it was a sad reason to be there I couldn’t fault their customer service one bit. If I could give them 6 stars I would.

They are genuinely caring and they have been very thorough with all that they have done for our dog and all the information and updates they have given us. They truly do go above and beyond to provide the best treatment and care. I don’t think I can express enough how thankful I am for their treatment of our dog, her pups and us. Negative experience: Nurse practice manager was absolutely horrid to us during such a hard time as we ended up having to put our family dog to sleep.

Fantastic experience: I took my cat KFC in a while ago because he had urine blockage. He was hospitalized for 3 days and it was a really stressful time, but all the vets and nurses in Emergency Vets were very helpful, empathetic and updated me with details frequently. They also helped me processed my insurance which is really convinent and I got the payment in 2 days. Now my cat has fully recovered and back to his daily adventures again. Thank you Emergency Vets!

Fantastic experience: We have used these vets for both of our cats and were so well taken care of each time. I expected a less-personal experience, being an emergency vet, but it was the exact opposite. Each nurse and vet that we dealt with were very caring and compassionate. I was extra pleased to receive follow-up calls from the lovely staff to check in. Highly recommend! :)

Fantastic experience: My sweet cat has shown signs of not being very well, after speaking on the phone with Kali, she reassured my concerns and recommended for Nala to get checked out. Dr Amy, Kali & Flora were the staff who looked after us, they were all so comforting and reassuring. We were provided options on next steps and given space to decide which option we felt comfortable going with, so it was an entirely pressure free environment. Left feeling put at ease and knowledgeable on what I need to do next should my cat not perk up on the provided medication.

Negative experience: About a year ago we brought our cat to this practice due to her breathing being irregular and strained. They took her out the back and without our consent decided to administer multiple doses of sedatives to "calm her down" which resulted in her falling unconscious and passing away shortly after. They then had the audacity to charge us over $1000 for their "services" as we sit distraught and confused over what had occurred. The more time that went on the angrier we became, and with multiple professionals in the industry explaining that administering sedatives to a cat in respiratory distress was borderline murder, we could not keep this to ourselves and wish to spread the word to others thinking about taking their pets to this practice. No number of apologies or refunds (which we haven't received) will absolve this situation, all we want is our baby back, but we can't have that.

Fantastic experience: During an incredibly difficult time, the team here showed us so much kindness and compassion. They treated our pet with genuine love and treated us with empathy and respect. We are so grateful for the gentle care and support we received. Well recommended and thank you.

Fantastic experience: I had such an amazing experience with the team at Anderson St. Our 5wk old puppy was experiencing illness that freaked me out, I’m happy to report she was okay thanks too Stacey & Kali. I felt heard, safe and was reassured that I wasn’t crazy for rushing to an emergency vet for my puppy. Thank you for all you do team xx

Fantastic experience: Incredible care and compassion was shown to us when we had to put our beloved Snoopy down. A lovely little room was provided to say goodbye and the procedure was explained in detail, allaying our fears that our little pet might suffer pain. A beautiful sympathy card as well as a cremation certificate was sent to us. Thank you so much. We highly recommend this vetinary practice.

Fantastic experience: my cat was attacked i'm my carport,and caused samual to go into stress mode ,he couldn't pass urine screeching in pain,my friend came and took me to emergency vets on anderson st cairns,they saved my boys life after 24 hrs there ,he is home ,very quiet using his litter box,seeing little wet marks on the tiles (no carpet)but he is weeing new food now but thank you emergency vets anderson st cairns

When we presented Saturday evening the clinic was extremely busy but my dog was taken into care immediately, however unfortunately we had to say our last goodbye as our faithful mate was put to eternal sleep. Fantastic experience: Our 11 year old labby nearly died from bacterial infection. We had to say our goodbyes during the nighr and the vets and nurses at 24hr Emergency Vets brought her back from the brink. They were so professional and so kind during mine and my wifes heartache. Cannot thank and recommend them enough. They should get 1 million star ratings.

Fantastic experience: My dog child Hugo ate something he shouldn’t have and become very unwell! I am soooo happy with the team. They seen him quickly and were always professional. I knew Hugo was getting the best care possible with them. I loved that they updated me on his progress. When they called me that always started by saying “nothing to stress about just an update” which immediately got rid of any doubts or worries - I really appreciated this.Thank you

Negative experience: I just had a herendous night waking up to dog that I am dog sitting with blood clots and poop everywhere in the house. Took her to this clinic by owners request as they were on holidays. Vet Sarah was talking to the owner on phone and told me to be quiet when I was whispering to the sick dog. Then she storms out of the room and slams the door because I told her she was rude. No empathy at all.

Fantastic experience: Was very impressed with the care and attention my precious pup received from Dr Cameron and Lydia. The consult fee was valid for 24 hours which I thought was great and reasonable.

Fantastic experience: Dr Jack, Rhianna and all the nurses were absolutely wonderful. We are travelling when our 9 month old kelpie got what I believed was a UTI. Vet elsewhere misdiagnosed and we spent hundreds there on consultation and wrong medication. Arrived in Cairns and took Bonnie to this emergency vet and they were able to test and diagnose her correctly. Was a bit of a wait due to emergencies but very happy with service and result. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I can’t thank the team at the Emergency Vet Clinic at Manuda enough for the great service we received late this afternoon. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with compassion, professionalism, and urgency. Rhianna was welcoming, calm, kind and efficient while checking us in. While we waited to be seen by a vet, Rhianna attended to other patients/families, some who needed immediate attention for various reasons, and she attended to each and everyone with a friendly and professional manner. Dr Jack attended to our dog and was professional and friendly throughout the consult. He checked our little girl over and explained everything before giving us options and what to do next and when to come back, should things not go to plan. This is the second time we have been here in the past 2 years and I would highly recommend them if you ever find yourself in need of emergency veterinary care. True professionals! Fantastic experience: We arrived on a Saturday evening The staff had been informed that we were on our way. On arrival Helen Kinnane promptly dealt with admission of our mini dachshund girl with a suspected blockage.Helen’s triage capabilities were outstanding. Blu Belle spent over 24 hrs with them, we were kept well informed as to her progress. Teagan Sneddon completed our discharge. She had been on duty the previous evening and looked after Blu Belle. When she walked into the room to do the discharge documents Blu Belle was so excited to see her which made us feel happy. Teagan had obviously been very kind to her and reassured us that she was in good hands. Well done to all and thank you.

Fantastic experience: I had to have my beautiful cat Ziggy in there for a couple of days. The compassion and support I got from vets Fiona, Cameron, Jack and nurse Belle was outstanding. I cannot fault any of the vets or nurses there for their help and treatment of Ziggy. I was not really stressed out about him being there as I knew he was getting the best care he could possibly get. Negative experience: Absolutely shocking service. No sympathy for a dying animal and the rudeness when asked if they offer a payment plan to help pay off a treatment, was just unacceptable. We were told they could save the animal but they would have to re home him. We got brushed away when trying to make a decision about how we were going to afford the treatment. Making an extremely hard time, even worse. Absolutely horrible! Too focused on money, not about actually helping the animals.

Fantastic experience: These guys are outstanding! From the moment I called up saying I thought my dog had been hit by a car when she escaped they were calm and got me to come in straight away. They came out to the car and helped my dog into the examination room with so much care and consideration. They went through all possibilities and all options going forward. Didn’t try and push anything unnecessarily just helped me ensure my dog would be comfortable and how to help her during recovery. Fantastic experience: A huge thank you to the fabulous staff at Cairns 24/7 Emergency Vets. We brought our 14 year old male cat William in as we thought he had a bowel obstruction. Many thanks to Dr Sean, Nurse Belle, Colleen and Teagan for their care and compassion to allay our fears. After a few tests William had a bacterial infection, which was treated with antibiotics, and pain killers. Such a wonderful service for Cairns.

Fantastic experience: This is such a great service, and even though it's 24/7 you never feel like they are using their unique position as emergency providers to price gouge. The staff genuinely care, Rhianna was absolutely lovely, and you feel totally looked after. Dr Sarah was really thorough in her description of the situation and vey empathetic. Although I have a regular vet I didn't feel Khufu was any less cared for by not being a regular. Terrific service.

Fantastic experience: I can’t thanks the team at Emergency Vets Manunda for their assistance and care for my two frenchies who required urgent care on two seperate occasions this week. Lola was attended by Dr Sarah on Monday with an eye issue and Cherry was admitted by Dr Sam last night and then monitored by Dr Jack, Dr Cameron and given cuddles by Rhianna and her colleagues today until release. The care and attention for both was phenomenal and I highly recommend their services if the need ever arises for your fur babies which I hope for them it’s not required. Thanks team Nadine

Fantastic experience: Cairns emergency vet provide a vital and professional service. Clancy the inquisitive Australian Terrier found himself a Cane toad. The poison excreted by toads is fast acting, highly potent and can be fatal. The immediate and attentive response by trained emergency nurses Kat, Jamie and Teagan was quick and professional. The diagnosis and subsequent debrief by Vet Sam was thorough and comprehensive. This well coordinated team care about their jobs and the service they deliver. Excellent work by all, many thanks and Clancy is back on track to exploring the world around him!

Fantastic experience: Vet Jack Wall and Nurse Kat were fantastic Last night Coco my 10yr old Labradoodle had eaten the Plastic moisture pack from a Container of Chicken, I rushed her in to the center not knowing if the contents of the pack was toxic or not. They took her in straight away and quickly had her throw it up. The pack was still whole thank goodness so no harm done. just a very expensive chicken dinner!!!

Fantastic experience: The emergency vets were so wonderful with my black fluffy cat Will I M! They loved him just like he was their own. Dr Richard is an awesome vet and had so much empathy for me. When it was Wills time to cross the rainbow in the sky I saw Dr. Richard shed a tear with me. Nurse Belle and Nurse Alex were wonderful and so caring. Animal attendant Teagan thank you for your caring and love of Will. He is now in heaven making biscuits on the clouds. 24 hour vets thank you for helping and keep Will comfortable until his time had come!

Fantastic experience: The level of service I have received each time me and my little man have had to visit the clinic has been outstanding. All staff are friendly and compassionate and will do everything in their power to help out. I have had the pleasure to meet Dr Kati and nurse Emily who took great care of my little man when I couldn't. Negative experience: Thousands in various test, x-rays, and overnight care only to be sent off with a shrug and a suggestion to bring my dog back if she got worse. Well a few days later she got worse but by the time I got her to a vet that could actually figure out what was wrong it was too late, all my savings had been drained, and the only practical course of action was to put her down. I don't blame the vet for her passing but they did take all my money charging top dollar and provided zero help beyond a bottle of anti inflammatory and some pain killers, so now I'm always going to be wondering if she could have been saved had I initially gone somewhere else. So yeah, not a fan.

I don’t doubt that the staff find themselves under a great deal of stress being that they are an emergency facility. Fantastic experience: We recently lost our best mate aka Buddy. The comfort and sevice we recieved on the night was simply exceptional. They were so compasionate and tried everything they could to save my little mate. I will be forever grateful for what they did to help him, but his time was now. I cant recommend Emergency Vets highly enough. My Buddy is at peace now and no longer in pain. God Bless his little soul, we will miss him each and every day moving forward. Fantastic experience: Our dog Max has required 3 visits to the Emergency Vets for various reasons in the past and each time he has been treated with great care. Last Saturday was his most recent visit when he injured his dew claw. The nurses were able to calm him down and pull the claw out without any further injury so he was running around happily immediately after. The staff were super busy while we were there due to the Easter break and being the only vet open and they were still calm, caring and compassionate in all interactions I saw whilst we waited. Thanks team for taking such good care of Max as always!

The Man at the reception was so helpful and calm The vet(very easy on the eye) Great advice and caring The Nurse was amazing helped get my dog back into the car. Fantastic experience: Fast friendly and effective service, I came in today with my dog Bindi and was seen immediately, put in a consult room as she isn't the best with other dogs and treated with kindness and respect the entire time. Bindi is very easily frightened, but the nurse I spoke to over the phone was brilliant with her and did a very thorough job checking. The vet that came shortly after was also very kind and patient with my fur baby. Not my usual vet clinic but I am so happy I went here to get her checked out, couldn't rate them higher in my eyes 10/10

To Michael, Colleen, Courtney, Lilly, Emily, Simone, Dannella, Celeste, Tash, Belle and Katy - your skills, compassion and patience shared with not only us but all that came through those doors was genuine and limitless. Negative experience: Please be more transparent with prices. Sometimes being mindful with people's finances helps for stressful owners. This includes deposits and other payment options. The veterinarians couldn't answer any financial questions, which I can imagine would make anyone more stressed in a already stressful situation.

Fantastic experience: Excellenent care from receptionist, MIKE. It was a really a great caring approach by all the staff for our aging Shih-Tsu, Jessie. Many thanks for the loveley care by staff who took great care of Jess and comforted her. Highly recommened. Dr Hamey

Negative experience: Unless your pet has been in a serious accident.Please do NOT accept the apparent euthanizing (and only) options they give immediately here.In making you think it's the right choice.Wait and get a second opinion. Especially if it has only been an overnight observation for sickness.And not at all taking into consideration that the poor dog has possibly had a reaction to the medication given to them by them.(Wrong one here)and wrong diagnosis.. They called the next day to say she was declining and that we need to rush there to say our last goodbye.They were gun ho and wanted us to her put down right or wrong. She was a mess. And we almost ended her life with the strong recommendation from them.Due to how she was presented under the influence of the drugs . She was diagnosed overnight with a brain tumour.With no evidence. They said she needed to be let go because of this. Lucky we did not listen to there advise. 4 days after this incident our dog is fighting fit and on top of the world. She bounced back after this and is now back playing with toys and enjoying her life.

Fantastic experience: We are first time kitten owners and unfortunately needed to find a vet late at night and travel down from Kuranda. We are so thankful that this 24/7 vet exists. They were able to see us right away, explain everything in a clear and caring way and then share options with us. Unfortunately our kitten’s prognosis was poor and he needed to be put to sleep. We appreciated the warm sympathy card they sent today. An emergency vet is the type of service no pet owner ever wants to need, but it gives us peace of mind for our remaining kitten to know that quality care is close by.

Negative experience: Took my dog here on a Sunday night who was displaying signs of either bloat or gastro, vomiting mucus and just overall a very sick dog. Waited for hours and hours, as the time passed we would ask if they had a timetable for when our dog would be seen. “No we don’t know sorry” The whole “triage” thing WOULD make sense if a dog that needed a “pain relief tablet” (as described by the nurse) and a dog with a microchip problem didn’t come in nearly two hours after us and get seen straight away by the vet. I thought it was triage? A problem with a microchip is more urgent than a dog vomiting mucus? You learn something new every day. In the end, after hours and hours of sitting there we just took our dog and went home. Wouldn’t recommend, they shove you in little rooms with no ventilation and just let you sit there with no communication. Go to MyPetHub, far greater care and communication across the board
