We were only with Greencross for a few short weeks before our senior cat sadly passed away due to pre-existing conditions, but in that time we visited multiple on multiple occasions and every single person we spoke to was warm and welcoming. The amount of time and effort put in to give our cat the best possible outcome was nothing short of excellent at every step. Fantastic experience: Have recently had our dog Ollie in for some dental treatment and prior to that (about 4 weeks ago) he had some gut issues. We didn't have an appointment for his gut but they treated him straight away. This team are fantastic, from welcoming staff at reception to the treating vet. Keep up the good work.

Negative experience: Most costly vet ever. Repeditively ignored my issue for days. Im the owner thats who pays. Reception dont pat my dog without permission, you will get bit. Not going back. So many issues not enough words. I wont leave a review unless granted.

Negative experience: Never again. Very very expensive its emergency prices, they say i give you discount then double it. dump the bill on u on the way out. They gave my fat dog treats even when i said his on diet and i dont let others feeds my dog. As the owner and bill payer i was ignored on several days. Reception are young inexperienced and dont know about pet ownership. Looks like only really old rich people take their lapdogs here.

Fantastic experience: Dr Marcel was absolutely fantastic with my nervous dog who usually doesn’t like men. He was slow and gentle and encouraging without invading Finley’s space. He was very thorough and professional and provided a lot of information and insight to Finley’s Ear and possibly Allergy issues. And Finley enjoyed his treats!

Negative experience: We've had our cat with Greencross since he was a kitten (2 years). They have been his exclusive vet…. until yesterday. We had a scare with him being unable to stand up, and falling over almost passing out whenever he tried to walk. We called Greencross in a panic and were told point blank they were busy today and to take him somewhere else. The vet who took our call literally said “good luck with it”…. Not a care in the world for his wellbeing despite Greencross having been his vet his entire life and having all of his medical history. Thankfully another practice made time to see us on the spot and even had their team waiting for us when we arrived just 5 minutes after us calling despite being busy. Greencross have been happy to take our money when it suited, but our pet’s welfare certainly wasn’t the motivating factor going by our experience. If you want a vet who has your pets welfare at heart, especially during an emergency, then probably look elsewhere would be our advice based on the experience we've had with Greencross Vets Ballarat. Needless to say we now have a new vet.

Negative experience: Booked in desexing 6 weeks in advance. My husband turned up on the day, and they'd moved the appointment without telling me, despite calling 3 days earlier. Very upsetting to have hungry dog, time taken off work, and nobody even there to explain, except a lone Vet with no staff. Stuck in Ballarat with a dog in the car now!!! Nobody answering the phone.

I held her all the through till she became limp in my arms. My heart is broken and the vet and Jessica were so supportive. Thank you for helping me cope. Goodbye my angel Indie, we will meet again

Fantastic experience: We have found Greencross Veterinary Clinic at Ballarat to be exceptional. The vet was knowledgeable, experienced and kind in her treatment of our dog, Teddie. The nursing and reception staff were also kind and empathetic in their approach to the treatment of an older dog – and his owners. We used Greencross insurance to cover some of the costs of his surgery and his later vaccinations. We would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately my sons dog passed away before we got to the vets, but their compassion and love for animals was obvious in our phone conversations both when making the appointment and then cancelling it, I have had family members take pets there in the past and they reccomended Greencross to me.

Fantastic experience: These 2 bundles of anxiety both had their first ever appointment here today. Brucie, who usually cowered under my seat with each vet visit, casually sniffed around and even approached the lovely lady on reception. Something she has a lot of difficulty with in every day life. She then happily complied with the vet who was very patient. Joshy the cat purred the entire time and enjoyed the attention. Both felt so at ease here and I have no idea why I haven't brought them here earlier. I would describe this veterinary practice as absolutely wonderful. Pets feel at ease. Owners are reassured when pets don't show any symptoms they are trying to explain and I would 100% recommend these guys to anyone who has a pet suffering from anxiety. Keep up the fantastic work guys <3

Fantastic experience: Greencross recently helped me with end of life care for my cat, Toddy. The staff were all kind, compasionate, flexible and professional. During such a tough time they all went above and beyond to help me, my family and most importantly, Toddy. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Negative experience: Vet nurse Catherine depicts judgement and aggression regarding people’s missing pets on social media while representing this business. Would not ever bring a pet here simply based on her online conduct. Not good enough.

Fantastic experience: The vet Anel and the team were very helpful and helped us quickly, without fuss, and minimal stress to our cat. Catherine (the nurse) went out of her way to make sure we understood the procedure and why. Very impressed and we will continue to use Greencross :)

Negative experience: I found Michelle the receptionist, to be very unpleasant. Upon rescheduling my appointment due to completely unforeseen health reasons , she said verbatim "and will you definitely be able to make this appointment? Because now we have used half an hour up that we can't replace, yeah...so if you can't make the next one, make sure you cancel with more notice. Will you definitely come into this one?" It was so condescending and surprised me to be honest. As though I was being spoken down to by a parent. The reception staff generally are very hit and miss. Some are very polite and others are surprisingly rude. The vets are generally all friendly enough. Unfortunately receptionists can really have an affect on an environment and how unwelcoming or welcoming it is.

They were very thorough and went out of their way to help and I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Positive experience: Love reception staff and vets also feel sorry for them as it’s always insane busy and vets and reception are always running around. Impossible to get straight through when you call, can be on hold for very long periods. Can be difficult to get appointments. I suggest moving to a larger clinic with more staff to cater for the demand. I don’t think it’s fair on the staff. As a client it’s very frustrating.
