Bundoora Veterinary Hospital/ Northern Suburbs Animal Emergency Centre (24hr Urgent Care & Emergency): Reviews
Negative experience: Our cat fell off the sofa and then struggled to walk/stand up. We suspected a dislocated leg. The vet we saw: 1. Repestedly got our cat's gender wrong (fine, could be a language issue) 2. Watched our cat walk wobbly and twirl around a chair leg trying to stay upright, and said she was walking fine (sorry, which cat are you looking at?) 3. Did only a cursory check with a stethoscope - no blood tests (our regular vet was not impressed) 4. Said it could be a stroke, but to wait 48 hours (???) 5. Had the gall to charge over $220 for this "examination" We saw our regular vet the next day who suggested it could be an inner ear infection, and yes, our cat responded well to trestment for that. Why wasn't this raised as a potential issue? The vibe is particularly awful, the building is quite ramshackle and there's a security guard posted at the back door! In an actual emergency, I've had "better" experiences at AEC and VRH vets. (I also brought an injured galah here once, which I can only assume was euthanised.)
Negative experience: Took our dog to find out why he was not eating properly, was told best he have an ultrasound, that was booked for last Tuesday, We were told that the Specialist who performed the Ultrasound would ring us with the results., she rang and let us know he had stomach cancer. And said she would call us on Tuesday this week to discuss treatment, we had no contact, so rang and spoke with Receptionist, who confirmed our call was missed, and said that the Specialist had rescheduled us for Friday. still no contact the from Specialist she was told our dog had no medication, and that a script would be sent via text. Nothing arrived, so went in to ask why, it had not been received, a Vet wrote out 2 scripts that cost $70 dollars. Saturday 14th Feb rang Receptionist, and said our dog was still not eating properly, only then a Senior Vet added another tablet as Specialist would not be in till next Tuesday.. My husband went to collect our dogs medication, and only then given a discharge letter informing us of signs to look out for, regarding his medication. We will not be taking our beloved pet back there again, There was no duty of care for our suffering terminally ill fur baby. Until we made contact again !!!!!!!!!
Fantastic experience: I am extremely grateful to Dr. Divya Patel for her professionalism, thoroughness, and genuine care. She examined my boy carefully and immediately identified that he was suffering from urine crystals. What really stood out was her attention to detail and willingness to investigate properly. Just a week earlier, we had visited ARH Essendon, where no urine test or scan was done. Unfortunately, the same thing happened with our regular vet as well. Dr. Divya Patel, however, took the time to listen, assess, and run the necessary tests, which made all the difference in getting the correct diagnosis. Her knowledge, compassion, and commitment to animal care truly set her apart. I highly recommend Dr. Divya Patel to anyone looking for a vet who genuinely cares and goes the extra mile for their patients.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing staff. They were kind and caring and so gentle with my girl . Unfortunately I was saying goodbye to my best friend but they gave us as much time as we wanted and were so compassionate and loving to Charlie and my family. They made a heartbreaking loss more bare able and explained everything to us. I can’t praise them all enough. Not our first visit . Have been many times over the years and always treated so well . Highly recommended ❤️
Negative experience: We came in today at around 5pm and the girl at reception with dark hair was very rude to us. Before assuming a situation I suggest she is taught how to ask appropriate questions in order to be able to advise and assess rather than assume the situation. Her attitude toward us was extremely patronising and suggestive of a lack of care having bought in a baby sparrow. She continued to insist that we should have left it where it was without even asking how it came into our care. If she had of asked the appropriate questions she would have made a better judgment as to why we had bought the baby sparrow in rather than constantly tell us that it was best we left it where we found it. Firstly, we were not the ones that found it and secondly, the person that did find it had every reason to try to save it; 1. Because there were predators around and 2. We were unable to return it because it is not a public place and it was closed to public access when it came into our care. Also, when addressing customers 3 x your age at reception DO NOT address them, as we were leaving, as ‘MY FRIEND!’ Really? So rude, dismissive and assuming. I hope the poor baby sparrow is cared for with love and compassion that it deserves and not end up euthanised!
Fantastic experience: Excellent service, everyone is great, thank you for helping my dog
Fantastic experience: Took our unwell 15yo Jack Russell who was acting strange & squinting on NYE - seen within 10 minutes & such wonderful care from VET Dr Jaymee! Pups back to usual self today, following their treatment plan for an eye infection! Highly recommend & thankful! ❤️
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this vet clinic, especially for emergency pet care. We had to sadly put our dog to sleep and the care and compassion they showed, not only to us but to our dog was outstanding from the time we walked in to the time we left.
Positive experience: My cat Comet is a semi regular visitor here due to urinary issues and eating random things. They are always amazingly understanding and helpful (even dealing with my cat-induced stress!). My only real complaint is the parking, but hopefully now they have their new clinic next door (ish) something can be worked out for that.
Negative experience: Extremely disappointed and upset - A few months ago I had to have my beautiful elderly Russian Blue euthanised as she had reached the end of her battle with kidney disease. I was assured by Bundoora that I had time to make a decision on what I wanted to do in terms of her cremation but when I called to advise of my decision I was told she had already been communally cremated. While I acknowledge I did take some time to come to a decision regarding next steps, my concern sits with the communication from Bundoora vets who claim to have made multiple attempts via phone, text and email to both myself and the secondary contact number listed (my mum). Neither of us have a record of any attempt to contact either one of us via any of the aforementioned methods in relation to the timeframe for sending my beloved pets body for communal cremation. The lady I spoke with mentioned dates that text messages were sent and calls made. I have checked all of these (as has my mum) and there is no record of any contact on these dates or any other dates. I am devastated and this isn’t something that can be undone or something I can ever get back. Bundoora have always been good to deal with, but this significant incident sadly makes me question their integrity more broadly as from what I can see there was no attempt to contact me before sending my cat for communal cremation which is not what I wanted for beloved pet of 13 years.
Negative experience: My beloved Rhodesian Ridgeback was returned to me paralysed. What a horrific way to deal with the death of my beloved than by the way Bundoora vet has responded to their neglect of my beautiful Raj. His discharge letter said Raj was in brighter spirits?! Being pushed to do more testing on my beloved dog that was near death. I spoke with his vet Diviya a few hours before his discharge & she reassured me he was doing great. Yet, upon arrival Raj was unable to walk, sitting in his own excrements & barely able to lift his head/open his eyes. Diviya advised he would need to be euthanised unless he made a miraculous recovery!? My whole world completely shattered as I witnessed my best friend of over eight years in this condition. I lodged a formal complaint, which obviously means nothing to this vet, the head vet Bronwyn promised to answer all my questions, I asked that they release his file, give me a detailed breakdown of his care, give me the names of all vets in charge of his care, provide an apology & refund. What I received was an email stating he was well taken care of & sorry it wasn’t the outcome I was looking for. She implied Raj had weak legs so it’s not their fault. Raj had suspected arthritis as per his usual vet in Reservoir, although he was very active; he was admitted the day before walking totally fine. I explained to vet Ben, I wasn’t happy with the facilities, I understand it is an old building but the kennel he was in was not good enough & he wasn’t coping. He was very afraid of the sound in that room, he was in a panic. Raj had separation anxiety, Ben refused to provide anti anxiety medication. I asked to move him, Ben did that, Raj got worse, I said let’s put him back to the other side of the room. By this stage his tongue was hanging out, panting, hunched, he was completely panicked, I begged Ben to move him back, I was reassured they would at least move him asap, after I go. Yet when I called back a few hours later, he was still in there, how do you allow animals to suffer at an emergency vet? He was in a cage (a cage that had the ability to double as an extra large cage) too small for his body & was suffering. They just let him sit there suffering for HOURS. It would take all of 2 minutes to walk him back. You gave him fluids, upon arriving home, he drank loads of water!? All I wanted was to have had the chance to make an informed decision, let me know what’s going on, so I can look after my beloved on the last day of his life on my terms. Raj died in my arms the next day. I’ll never forget Diviya, the look of guilt on her face it was apparent she knew he had been overlooked. Do not answer with excuses or a response to contact you for further, I have the emails you’ve sent me that do not address anything. I don’t need your fake sympathy. You probably had no idea he was dying because you obviously rarely checked on him in the 24 excruciating hours he spent in your care. One of the vets I spoke with said you look through a window at the door & don’t go in to check on him, this way you don’t disturb him in the night, why was he in hospital? If you didn’t have the capacity or the knowledge to look after him, why take him on as a patient? Ben assured me Raj was top priority. I don’t want a hug, I want you to take care of Raj. How can a vet not pick up on signs a dog is hours from being euthanised? Why you won’t share his medical record or answer my questions about his care. Did you do something that caused his death? What gives you the right to leave Raj suffering in the back room & denying him of adequate care? *Do not contact me unless you intend in answering all my questions in writing. You have left me with the incomparable guilt of leaving him in your care. Leaving your beloved in the care of medical professionals shouldn’t have caused Raj unnecessary pain, suffering & trauma. He deserved to be treated with care. Vale Raj, my beautiful boy who made it home to be sent off with love, dignity, care, warmth & gratitude for the life we lived together.
Fantastic experience: Came in late one Friday night a few months ago with a sick Greyhound called Jordi (with a roman nose) I told reception I thought he was dying and he was triaged immediately to be urgently examined. Indeed his heart was failing and there was nothing we could do, he had collapsed out back. The Dr explained our options to me, and tmy wife over the phone and we asked for honesty and what she'd do if it were her dog. We agreed to let him go. I was lead up to the back and we came across Jordi being comforted by a nurse on the ground, she was lying with Jordi who was distressed, I was so touched this nurse was looking after Jordi like he was her own. I took her place and he drifted off, they let me stay with him until I was ready to go. A terribly hard night, but one made easier by a caring team. Thankyou so much for all that you do, it cant be easy fronting up everyday, when I assume most days this type of thing happens. You should be proud of your efforts, diligence and care. Much Love to you all. Jimi.
Fantastic experience: Unfortunately we have needed to rake our beautiful puppy Dulcie, to emergency after hours at Bundoora Vet twice. She was assessed immediately both times according to her presentation. The first time she stayed overnight (it was already 1:30am) and had all required investigative procedures done. We were then advised to travel to a specialised vet all the way in Dandenong for a neuro assessment. My only gripe with this referral was that they super expensive and were only going to do a MRI as last resort. So it was a waste of $ and journey. We then opted for further care at Lort Smith, which is where we should’ve gone in the first place after Bundoora. She was totally fine by the next day. But I guess they were being thorough. The more recent time she was presenting as unwell. I was prepared for the worst and another expensive bill, however she was quickly assessed as having Kennel Cough (likely from the dog park) and sent away with antibiotics. Which I was grateful for. They have also provided follow up advice over the phone for her quarantine period. I have a friend who uses Bundoora Vet frequently for ongoing care of her dog with arthritic issues and she speaks highly of their care. I’ve also previously dropped off a stray pet bunny here. In summary, this is a vet hospital who genuinely care for your furry loved ones and I think the fees they charge are reasonable, considering the valuable and thorough service they provide. So thank you!
Fantastic experience: I recently visited this emergency vet clinic and was incredibly impressed by their professionalism and genuine care. I was in complete shock when I rushed in with my seriously ill cat, Almond. The entire team was calm, compassionate, and truly sympathetic during such a stressful situation. I can’t thank them enough. They brought Almond back to a stable condition, took the time to explain everything clearly, and treated her with the utmost kindness. I was so overwhelmed that I probably didn’t pronounce or spell their names correctly, but I would still like to express my appreciation to Elliot (I’m extremely sorry—I kept calling you Alex or something by mistake), Natalle, Shyla, Heyly, Vic, Katz, and every staff member who helped over the last couple of days. I’m incredibly grateful for their support and highly recommend them to anyone needing urgent veterinary care.
Fantastic experience: Thanks to the team who looked after our cat Cody. Cody was brought to another vet on Friday and was assessed as being fine, no tests were done apart from the Vet feeling his stomach. We weren't satisfied and we were concerned so we took him to the emergency vet in Bundoora. There was about a 40 min wait however we were okay with this as there were emergency cases coming in. When Cody was seen the vet very quickly found a bulge in his belly and recommended we keep him in for observation, X-ray, Ultrasound and medications. We agreed and paid the $1,200 50% deposit (given the time of day we were happy with this). On Saturday morning the Vet conducted the Ultrasound and reviewed the results, we were informed there was an obstruction and that the best course of action was to take him to surgery. The Vet explained all three potential surgical outcomes 1) Help push it through (best case) 2 Help push it through but also do a cut in the intentise to check 3) Full procedure They quickly put together another estimate and we paid another $1,000. They took Cody into surgery around lunch on Saturday, we received a call on Saturday afternoon saying everything went well and although they did have to make a cut in his internal organs they did their best to minimise this and it was more a precaution to check everything was well. He spent Saturday, Sunday night with them and we brought him home Monday. In total the cost was around $5,400. Cody is now recovering at home and although a little tired and wobbly he's doing well, his wound looks very neat and clean and we were provided excellent discharge care notes and all the medications needed. To recap, no it's not cheap however when you understand the cost of providing vet care, the cost of the equipment, training, staff and medications etc this is just the reality. Overall we found the staff to be very helpful and they provided Cody with great care, I have no doubt the outcome could have been very bad if we hadn't of trusted their advice. I wanted to post this review as when Cody was having surgery I was reading reviews and saw lots of people complaining about the cost. I must admit I was a bit concerned reading the reviews that we were going to be told the estimate was wrong and instead of paying another $3200 it's $5500 or something but that wasn't the case, they gave us a detailed invoice explained all the costs. I understand how upsetting it would be to have what happened to us to a family who couldn't afford the cost however based on my experience with this clinic I feel they would still do their best to assist and ultimately this is the risk we run as pet owners. Overall thanks to the staff who looked after Cody, we are all very attached to him and are so thankful that's he was in good hands.
Fantastic experience: Each time we took our dog Nahla to this hospital, they were always kind, helpful, and so understanding to her needs. Thank you for everything you all have done, and helping with our pup in her final moments.
Fantastic experience: A massive thank you to Lucy and the whole team for taking such amazing care of my kitten, Leroy. From my very first phone call when I wasn’t sure if he needed to be brought in, to checking him over straight away, taking such great care of him over the past 30 hours and explaining everything so clearly, they were incredible. As a first time cat mum I was so stressed, but Lucy was so informative, kind, and patient, and she happily gave me updates on Leroy every time I called. I’m so grateful for his vet team for making sure he got all better.
Fantastic experience: My beautiful cat was on death’s door and the love, care, trust and compassion I felt when in this hospital was overwhelmingly relieving. It was so frightening to have my cat whom I love soooo much be suddenly so unwell, and it was even more frightening to have to leave him in the hands of strangers. The staff were so informative and stayed in contact with me constantly about what was going on. They looked after my cat so well and I am so grateful that he is still here today because of them. Thank you specifically to Sam for everything you do.
Negative experience: The lady on the phone was extremely rude, did not help with my query and also decided to slam the phone on me. No empathy whatsoever. Never taking my pet there. Horrible experience!
Negative experience: THE WORST VET I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! DO NOT RISK YOUR PETS LIFE GOING HERE I have myself and know of multiple people that have had terrible experiences with this emergency vet. Many years ago, a vet gave my rabbit a vaccination and did it in the wrong spot I was told, almost killed him, thankfully I rushed him to CARE in Hood St, and they were able to save him. The vet was furious and explained that many vets are not experienced with Rabbits but still treat them when they should'nt. Turns out their vets are still absolute rubbish, because my friends 4 year old Bulldog got turned away a couple of weeks ago, because they apparently had no oxygen... ARE YOU KIDDING ME? You are an EMERGENCY VET. The dog ended up getting taken to Greensborough, they stayed open to try and help save the dog but by this point it was too late. All this vet cares about is money, and the bedside manner of this clinic is terrible, I have had this conversation with LITERALLY MULTIPLE people now and had to write a review because my blood is boiling thinking of the other unlucky beautiful furbabies that have likely suffered in their care. If you need an emergency vet and have the time, get your pet to CARE in Collingwood. I can't believe there are as many good reviews as there are on here.
Fantastic experience: To the wonderful team at Bundoora Veterinary Hospital, I just wanted to express my deepest gratitude for the kindness, warmth, and comfort you showed my family and our beloved Shar-Pei, Milo. Three months ago, our worst nightmare became reality — we had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go, to give her peace and stop her suffering. It was one of the hardest moments of our lives, but we knew it was the right thing to do. I am so thankful that I could be right by her side until her very last breath. Even though Milo only probably visited your hospital once I am not to sure, you treated her — and us — with such compassion and care. In the middle of our pain, your gentle approach helped us feel supported and understood. You comforted my mum, my brother, his girlfriend, and me in a moment when our hearts were breaking, and I will never forget that kindness. Milo spent 11 beautiful years with us. She grew up next to me — from my early school days all the way to my final years. Losing her has left a silence in our home that feels so heavy. I still dream about her most nights, and some evenings I sleep holding a special glass orb engraved with her image just to feel close to her again. As I write this, tears are falling, because she was truly the best dog I could have ever hoped for. She was my friend, my comfort, a piece of my heart — and I miss her more than words can say. But she lived a good life, filled with love and adventure, and thanks to you, her final moments were peaceful and surrounded by love. Thank you — from the bottom of my heart — for helping Milo leave this world with dignity, comfort, and calm. You gave us a moment of peace in a time of heartbreak, and we will always be grateful. Milo will forever be loved, and forever remembered. With heartfelt appreciation, Luke, Maria, Nick and crystal❤️️
Fantastic experience: Saved our dog from an accident where unfortunately he was hit by a car @ 100km/h. Two broken legs and lung leaking into chest cavity. Whilst they couldn't facilitate the orthopaedic procedures on his legs, they stabilised him and rectified the chest aswell as giving multiple options for surgeries. He had his surgeries and returned for after-care for another two days where he further improved. Bec and I can not thank the team enough for getting this boy back to what he loves!
Fantastic experience: Vets really took the time to explain things and help me feel empowered every step of the way in caring for my kitty
Fantastic experience: i’m so grateful for the compassion and service here. the staff were all so incredibly kind, warm and professional. i can only imagine how difficult it must be to handle such emotions on a day to day basis. we had to say goodbye to our beloved 13 year old dog, tyra. we will never be the same without her, but i know she gave us her all until the very end. thank you so much for your kindness, her paw prints + fur clippings will be treasured forever.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely recommend coming here, staff have not only taken incredible care of my fur baby but also myself & others here. They’ve offered such amazing support including over the phone really couldn’t recommend more
Fantastic experience: The staff here are incredibly kind, friendly, interested, and compassionate. I have taken my pet here for urgent care, hospital admission, and scheduled appointments, and can't fault the service I have received every time. Thanks heaps
Fantastic experience: My dog was hit by a car, was very traumatising for me and my dog Archie, thank goodness everything went well and he survived and was cared for by the vets and staff and had a great turn out and Archie survived this horrible experience and was well cared for which made it more easier and less stressful for me.
Negative experience: Worst vet exp EVER. Staff = unpro + rude, vet had 0 ppl skills + treated us like we were dumb. No care, no respect, just $$$. Dog still in pain + we walked out feeling ignored. -100/10, never again
Negative experience: Unprofessional no care what so ever for us, all about the money, the nurses had no idea on how our dogs behaviour is when around others no matter how many times we tried telling them. They couldn't end up helping him due to his aggression WHICH we did say was going to happen if we weren't there.
Fantastic experience: Thanks you to your reception staff Clare & Marade, they are absolutely amazing and respectful to all. Thanks for being so caring. Warm regards Carolyn, Sienna & Cora
Fantastic experience: My dog died here tonight after suffering from lymphoma, a particular staff member, Stacy, was so incredibly kind and comforting, comforting my family and I during this moment, in the end not charging us. May my dog rest in peace,
Negative experience: Absolutely ridiculous pet vet they let me take my cat home and made me pay $100 for checking on her and they didn’t do anything and now my baby kitten might die because I couldn’t afford $5k for surgeries
Fantastic experience: This veterinary clinic is absolutely amazing. My dog required major surgery due to a dog attack, and from the start the care we received was exceptional. The front desk staff, especially Loren, were compassionate, attentive, and quick to act with the authorities given the seriousness of the situation. Across five visits, I was consistently impressed with the treatment plan, follow-up, and genuine dedication shown by the team. They gave my dog every possible chance for the best recovery. I can’t recommend this clinic highly enough.
Fantastic experience: My wife and I found an injured rainbow lorikeet on our walk.We took the injured bird to be looked at and treated here. There were two women on the desk who looked after us and another woman who also had dropped off an injured animal. I must say both women were brilliant.....They were super organised, efficient and very empathetic. They simply made the whole process very easy! It's wonderful to know that there is such kindness in the world, and that not every transaction is about money....Well done Bundoora Veterinary Hospital and your dedicated, community serving staff. Craig, from Watsonia
Fantastic experience: Two weeks ago we brought our precious cat Freddie to get help, unfortunately he didn’t make it. The staff here were amazing, sensitive, compassionate & very understanding to our situation. Thank you so much, we appreciate your kindness.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely wonderful, caring team. Each tech took us through the treatment for our boy step by step and constantly checked in on us and answered any questions we had. Would highly recommend to take care of your pet ❤️ thanks team!
Fantastic experience: Emergency tonight when I made a stupid mistake due to stress and forgot to secure rat bait. I am a neurotic person at the best of times, but add a sick pet and anger at myself. CRAZY! Dr Elliot was to the point, no drama, let's get this done as easily and quickly as possible and I am so very very grateful for his manner! He did not treat me like an idiot and explained the processes to me. I'm sure I seem like a complete psycho when it comes to my pets welfare..but I am a wildlife carer so have some medical knowledge. He is definitely a vet I'd go back to. So often going to vets other than my regular vet, there is doom, gloom, worst case scenario so you are literally throwing money to save the life of your precious pet. At one time I was told my indoor only cat had been bitten by a snake!! I was too upset to think rationally but my own vet advised this was not the case.. I had expected to spend the night in the car so packed a pillow and blanket.. But I was in immediately! With lots of reassurance! I am so very grateful! On a side note my neice called ahead for me and wasn't given encouraging advice on the phone so I almost went to Essendon instead, this just feedback, not complaint.
Negative experience: I’m sorry I didn’t get the name of the vet but it was a very disappointing visit. The receptionist was lovely and other vets there have been great but this one was terrible. I explained what the symptoms of my dog were and he said it sounds like he had a fit, without further investigation. My dogs back legs stiffened up and he couldn’t move them. The vet wasn’t listening to what I was saying and kept repeating that it is more than likely a seizure. I said maybe we should do x-rays just incase it was arthritis or something that might be hidden? He said ‘no, you will just be spending your money when an x-ray might not show anything’ ok, but shouldn’t you investigate? I took my dog to our vet and won’t be going back to bundoora just incase we get this vet again. He showed no empathy at all.
Fantastic experience: Thank you so much to the team - my dog ate a battery and had emergency surgery the same day, such great care and compassion from the whole team. Toby is recovering well at home and we are so thankful and grateful for everything!!!!
Negative experience: no empathy at all. my boy buddy had a urinary block and had to have surgery asap. the vet had NO sympathy, it was all about the money. the vet said something along these lines; “having a cat/pet is a luxury, you shouldn’t have a pet if you can’t easily pay for these emergency circumstances”. she said these things while i was balling my eyes out. she was talk talk talk about putting him down while i was breaking down completely. imagine having a sick family member and all the doctors can say is this is what we are going to do if you can’t spit out this insane amount of money right this second. money money money. i will never take my cats here again, yes they did fix the issues with my boy, but the way they went about it was DISGUSTING. i had no issues with anyone else, just this one young female vet.
Negative experience: The staff were lovely. But unfortunately that's the only good thing I have to say. Tuesday night I brought in my cat who was acting strange, gone off food and not walking properly. 24 hours later and $2000 down we were told we could bring him home. When we got home He was worse than what he was when we took him into the vet. When I called the vet and questioned what was going on i was told we could bring him back for pain relief or go elsewhere. Wednesday night at home was touch and go. Thursday morning he had passed away at another vet. I'm devastaed and frustrated that this vet could send home a cat who was so sick with no instructions for us on how to care for him properly.
Negative experience: WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER. DON'T EVER TAKE YOUR PET HERE. IT IS ALL ABOUT MONEY. UGLY UGLY WORLD. Way over charged for my cats care and treatment, every phone call we received a new amount was added for care we didn't even understand. We were able to get together most the money so that we can have our pet discharged with his medication, but were in need of a couple more dollars which we couldn't arrange from family as they asked us to do. The vet on the phone was extremely rude to me and to my daughter who went in person. She had no empathy. She basically said to me if you can't afford the bill then its best to put him down. I was utterly shocked at her words its like she has no care for our pets life. IT WAS ALL ABOUT MONEY! Honestly I don't know why she is working in that industry. THANK YOU FOR NOTHING. Both my daughters have been in tears since then. Btw, we brought our precious fur baby to help with my younger daughters mental health. I'll have you know, this experience has made her become worse.
Fantastic experience: Have been bringing my two cats here for years and can't speak highly enough of all the staff and vets. Always very mindful and supportive.
Fantastic experience: This is the night after the operation, and they don't seem to have happened.
Fantastic experience: Being confronted with the news that your beautiful natured under 2 years old rescue cat u have raised since he was a kitten, requires most if not all his teeth removed due to an autoimmune disease is a lot. Not only financially but emotionally you worry for your furry family member. But the care and consideration given to us and of course our boy was excellent. It was a long day of waiting for news and due to lots of emergencies, his op was pushed back but we were kept updated and informed all the way which is incredibly important and after the big day and big operation he has come out of it so well. We have our healthy, happy and content boy back with his brother and they are back and forth either chasing or curling up with each other again. He has adapted to his lack of teeth well and looks so much happier, healthier and way less stinkier! The post op care and instructions were easy to follow and administer. The quote for care was for worst case scenario which would only be done in his best interests, which we had to do in the end, but were prepared for no surprises and we felt we had extra special above and beyond care that you cannot put a price on. I cannot thank this team from the reception to all the veterinary team for the care they gave our boy! Thank you!
Negative experience: We had an incredibly distressing experience here. During one of the most heartbreaking moments of our lives, there was a complete lack of empathy or compassion for our sick pet. It felt as though the only priority was payment, rather than helping us make an informed and humane decision. We were pressured to act quickly, without the time or support needed to say goodbye to our beloved dog of 13 years. To be asked repeatedly about money during such a vulnerable moment was deeply upsetting and left us feeling exploited and unheard.
Fantastic experience: We bought our beautiful Mr Jinx in on Monday night very unwell unfortunately he was put to sleep they were extremely kind and sincere I would highly recommend this vet clinic ⬛
Fantastic experience: Great and caring vets. The saved my dogs life. Very grateful for them. They are kind to both the animals and humans!
Negative experience: Very unsympathetic receptionist. Shaming and blaming even though I was trying to get an appointment over the phone for my sick cat instead of making the cat wait for hours to get seen. Everytime ive been there the wait has been hours ro get seen with or without an appt. It's not ethical for a cat to be stuck in a carrier for so many hours. I will be going elsewhere where they have more compassion to people who love their pets.
Fantastic experience: Hi team..I just want to tell you how much I appreciate you for my experience this morning. My beautiful girl came in very unwell and sadly was euthanized. The vet nurse on reception was so lovely and though it may not have seemed it at the time due to how distraught I was, you helped make an awful situation as good as it could be with your empathy and care. The vets were also very caring and also were very clear and thorough. Thank you for making Billie's passing calm and comfortable. It has been the toughest day of my life but you made it that bit better by your genuine caring nature.
Fantastic experience: Well l have to mention the lovely Lauren, front desk. I have had a great experience with everyone l have seen, Jaimee, was the first wonderful vet who looked after my female Greyhound Harlow, she was gentle with Harlow and reassuring with me. Harlow had 5 days of Meloxicam as she was limping. I highly recommend this vet and thank all the staff, Harlow and l say thank you. Di Hill
Negative experience: I am writing the review to help all pet lovers to make the right choice when they send their pets to this hospital. Two weeks ago we send emails inquiring for the results of the lab tests and ultrasound of my cat which passed away in this hospital. I requested the policy regarding visits of our pets because I was the person that brought my cat to the hospital and I wasn't allowed to visit . I highly suspect that they didn't do any care for my cat. The first day they asked $2800.00 for the test and staying in hospital for two days. Next day they call to ask for extra $2500.00 for the same test without giving the results of the first one which was done by Dr Klara. Their excuse was that it was a different doctor the first time and today Dr Lucy needs to do the tests. I didn't accept this because I didn't have the records and results of what they did the previous ago. Then on 6am on the next day they called me saying that my cat passed away. So here every day was a different Doctor asking for extra money like they were not working in same hospital. This hospital cares only for money untill the last breath of your pet and not to heal your loved pets. It has been 2 weeks since I asked for the results and they still haven't sent it yet, I think they probably have nothing that they can send.
Fantastic experience: Needed some medication for my dog Barney on Good Friday. No probs. A quick trip into this Bundoora Clinic and the medication was waiting. Efficient. Best Vet Clinic in the Southern Hemisphere. Cheerful dispositions from Loz and Maz. Efficient and personable. Best Vet Nurses in the Southern Hemisphere? Apparently Loz and Maz are looking at a comedy duo thing going forward. Catch them while you can.
Fantastic experience: Thank you to the amazing vet, Lucy, for looking after our cat, Bootsy - we really appreciate your kind, caring and gentleness! Wouldn’t go anywhere else - Lucy is the best! Thanks again for taking such great care of our boy.
Negative experience: Zero trust in this hospital. They couldn't put a diagnose for my kitty and for this reason wrong treatment was given. They make sure to take money as much as they can before your kitie pass away. They have high lack of knowledge and they focus only taking money. Please do not send your pets here otherwise you will regret for whole life.
Negative experience: Attentionn! Attention! This hospital wants only money and not caring your pet. They will change the estimate every day. They didn't let my son which is 20years old to see our cat., probably because they didn't wanted to see what happening inside. After few hours in 6am they call saying the cat passed away They didn't give a diagnose and they didn't send results of tests which I was asking them over and over. They keep asking for more money to do same test next day when they knew that cat had left just few hours life because they couldn't do nothing as they they didn't find the diagnose. There was no empathy or compasion. I paid $2500 to get a dead cat, they discount $300 bwcause they fail to treat him which I would better keep home and she could died in my arm. Plesse careful where you send your pets. Your choice can be fatal for your adorable pet. I am so sad and I fell regret that I went in this hospital but I didn't do research because I wanted to send as soon as possible my cat at hospital.
Fantastic experience: I moved my boy here from another practice after a pretty wretched ear infection (and maybe the universe idk) led us to this vet. From my initial frantic phone call, to me showing up 20 minutes later with a sick boy in my arms and tears in my eyes (tell me you're a first-time dog owner without telling me, right?) they were so kind and lovely, and the vet Daniela turned out to be an absolute beacon of both knowledge and kindness & gave me a thorough and detailed explanation of what to do and what to expect when it came to follow-up care, along with a lot of helpful resources. I transferred my pup's medical records the next business day and have never looked back...
Fantastic experience: It’s a great vet clinic! Their day-to-day service and doctors are fantastic, but the 24/7 hospital is truly incredible and supportive. They go above and beyond — even handling my insurance claim on my behalf, which saved me a lot of time. Thank you for the amazing job you do!
Negative experience: Extortion. $500 for a visit with blood and urine test for a tabby. And no conclusion of what may be the cause of my cat's condition. He might be in pain, inside or outside. Not sure. That's $500, thanks. Oh and they don't bother to tell you that they're going to shave your cat's neck to get to a vein. For $500 that's too much of an effort. They'll let you see it and worry what the hell happened to your pet. $500!
Fantastic experience: Great staff and wonderful service! Thank you for looking after my cats! On two separate occasions I have had a great experience with Bundoora Vet Hospital Clinic!!! thank you very much to the team.
Positive experience: My precious baby Jack had to be urgently euthanised this morning just after 6am. They were extremely supportive and empathetic can’t fault that, however I only give a 4 star due to payment being required first. My baby had to wait for a payment to end his suffering first. I’ve never paid for any kind of vet bill before seeing the vet. I’m assuming it may be different with euthanasia and it really hoping it is the case. I just feel like money was more important than a struggling animal. In saying that the vet and receptionist were fantastic regardless. Even showed concern for my ability to drive safely after hearing the devastation in my voice. Overall it was great considering the circumstances, but maybe more so for me rather than Jack. I think they felt more sorry for me than my baby boy.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful clinic / hospital with the warmest staff. We have been taking our pets there for more than 12 years and could not fault them. Our dog was recently diagnosed with MMM and Dr Brigitte Horn has been so thorough with her consultations, clear in her instructions and was extremely understanding of this disease, which has eased our minds. We would highly recommend this clinic and in particular Dr Horn. Keep up the amazing work.
Negative experience: On Saturday our beloved Archie started to breathe heavily. Straight away we took him in to get him checked out. The nurse had 1 look at him and quickly took him into the room. While I am giving details to the other young lady, the nurse runs out giving me a resuscitation form and tells me it will cost $350 if they will need resuscitate. Ok I signed it and we were told to sit down. Archie was put onto oxygen and they placed an IV. After a while the vet comes out and I go into the back with her. The vet repeated that Archie is on oxygen etc.. Then she processed to the computer and started talking numbers. I broke down as my hubby had just lost his job on Friday and i just couldn't afford $2500 (before treatment, no payment plan). Bulk of it was to stay over night for observation. I wish she would have said to me if they could just do the basic of blood test and x-ray to see what they were dealing with. Sadly, Archie was put to sleep. Our home is so empty without him. I keep questioning myself, what went so horribly wrong, so quickly. I'm not only going to target this vet but in general, it's all about money!
Fantastic experience: Wonderful clinic and friendly and caring staff. I have been meaning to write this review for ages as the care I experienced here when my dog was attacked was outstanding. I was quite shaken and upset upon arrival with my dog who was bleeding and my toddler in my arms. The reception staff and nurses were so understanding, reassuring and lovely to me. The care Huey experienced was incredible, you could tell he was so looked after, given lots of love and received the best treatment possible. Communication was brilliant, everything explained well and no unnecessary recommendations for further treatment/medication (which I have experienced in the past from other clinics). I found the vet very transparent and they did an excellent job. We went back for another unrelated procedure a few months later, and again, the care was second to none. Highly recommend.
Negative experience: Be aware if your take your pet here these people only care about money - they could have saved my dog - but were more concerned about telling me how much it would cost instead of trying to save her . They didn’t try to save her at all - just let her die while they tell me prices . Money hungry pigs - nothing more . Go elsewhere if you care about your pet and don’t find out the hard way like I did . I was told the cost and I asked them to save her ( then they came back a second time to tell me the same thing ) meanwhile she’s dying on the table . Now my dog is dead because they really don’t care at all .
Fantastic experience: Last night we decided it was time to say goodbye to our beautiful girl Betsy who had been suffering with severe dental problems for a while now. I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the staff who made it a peaceful experience and were so kind, patient and compassionate. Losing our girl has broken my heart but the support given by the staff brought me a great sense of peace. Thank you for helping my girl on her journey to heaven.
Fantastic experience: We were there last night to say farewell to our 19 year old friend, Simba. We cannot express our appreciation for the kindness and compassion shown towards us and our loved one. So much kindness during the sadness of times. Can not recommend highly enough
Negative experience: We will never ever come back here again. Took our cat in on a Saturday waited 2 hours wasn't to bad. Our issue is we hat to leave her there as she was very sick. I rang twice and was told still no change. We get in there Sunday morning and we were saying we would put her to sleep wasn't a easy decision. The vet comes in and tells us oh she's picked up you can take her home. We were over the moon $2,600 later we bring her home. Late Sunday night she went down hill. We rang to be told to bring her in they will put her to sleep. So myself and my partner go in and get put in a room for 45 minutes the vet comes in all there worried about is the $365 payment first. We stayed with our queen pokie till she took her last breath. The vet then turns and says do you want more time with her. Luke hello she's gone im a mess my partner is upset no thank you. I don't advise anyone to take any pet there we won't be back now we are stuck with medications we will never use and we paid for them.
Negative experience: Honestly not the greatest experience. Double charged on my bill. Couldn't even do the refund on the spot.. absolutely appalled. The vets are great. The reception staff went lovely. They were talking behind customers backs after they got off the phone. While i was picking up my cat yesterday. Probably wont be coming back unless absolutely emergency. Thanks
Fantastic experience: Thank you so much for saving our bird (budgie) JJ! We are so grateful ☺️ for the work you do to save our family members (pets) I highly recommend this Vet Clinic, Dr Bronwyn (the vet) was the best, she went above and beyond to save our little boy! A huge thank you to all the vet staff that also helped save JJ, we are so grateful for your rapid response & we believe that’s what saved him! God Bless xoxo Thank you JJ is recovering ❤️ really well!
Negative experience: I am not one to leave bad reviews but I felt that this one was necessary so others don't ever experience what my family did. My pup is recovering from a patella surgery and has shown signs of being unwell. She stopped eating and started vomiting brown liquid with blood. Of course we rushed her to the Bundoora emergency centre to get looked at. 15 minutes in we get a lady coming out to tell us that they have too many dogs and can't take any more dogs. I get that they might be understaffed, but the attitude and luck of empathy was unnecessary and unacceptable. My dog is my child and to be asked to leave in such manner was unacceptable. Would that kind of attitude and behaviour be acceptable if I was taking my child to the hospital? Pet owners do not take your pets there, you are wasting valuable time that can be fatal for your pet. No consideration for pets or their owners
Fantastic experience: We brought our much-loved Golden girl here to cross the rainbow bridge, and the care we received was truly exceptional. Every staff member was compassionate, and the vets who helped her were gentle, kind, and deeply empathetic. During such a heartbreaking moment, we felt completely supported and cared for every step of the way. They also gave us a beautiful keepsake of her fur in a little glass bottle. At the time, I didn’t think to ask for one for each of my three children, but when I called back later to request two more, they were so understanding and didn’t hesitate to help. Thank you to everyone at Bundoora Animal Hospital for your kindness and care during such a difficult time.
Negative experience: I can say that this has been the worst experience I’ve ever had. Please provide some training to the reception staff on how to communicate with people. The waiting time is unbelievably long, and the attitude of the staff is incredibly rude. I truly hope that one day you experience the anxiety and helplessness I felt today. I pray for this with all my heart. Never, ever bring your pet here.
Negative experience: I paid $4,000 for my cat to stay at this clinic for three days to be monitored due to a sore stomach and vomiting. They suspected he might have ingested something, in the end they couldn’t determine the cause of his symptoms. When I picked him up and paid in full, I noticed he had now developed symptoms of cat flu, which he didn’t have when I brought him in. When I asked the staff about it and what I should do, they refused to provide any answers unless I paid for another check-up fee. I asked if i could just see what was written in his charts during his stay; they said this came with an extra fee. This clinic is more focused on making money than caring for animals. I would not recommend them.
Fantastic experience: Highly skilled staff who responded promptly to a very distressing emergency. We felt well informed about her progress and were encouraged to call in for regular updates. Thank you for your life saving support and allowing her to return home safe and sound again.
Negative experience: Don’t even bother, never any vets on staff, staff appear to be over worked to the point of zero cares to give anymore. Possible snake bite by venomous snake x4 pets, told by snake catches to get them straight to vet, this vet turned us away, other vets were horrified that they wouldn’t see us in a potential life and death situation. Thankfully another vet did see us and everyone is okay. 12 months ago, palliative care dog with cancer and increased respiratory rate, the sign we were told to look out for, for when it was time. Turned away. She died at home, which I guess was a blessing but also difficult. Senior dog of a family member who needed care, they took her away and wouldn’t even let the family member be with her when it was decided there was nothing more that could be done. No care, no compassion for the owner, left sitting in a cold waiting room on her own in tears knowing her baby was without her in her final moments. Not even a sorry for your loss from the staff on deck. I understand you are short staffed, but you are always short staffed, this says something is very wrong with your practice and management.
Fantastic experience: I took my 5 month kitten there at 11 pm on a Sunday night. He had been vomiting a little wasn’t eating much and had really bad breath. I was so worried I couldn’t wait till the morning to go to his regular vet , I was so stressed and worried about him. The nurse was wonderful checked his mouth , felt his tummy , checked his bladder . She said he was fine and if he was still not himself the next morning to take him to his vet. As I didn’t see the vet I wasn’t charged. She was wonderful and reassured me .
Negative experience: Compassion- 10/10 Atmosphere- 5/10 Vets - 8/10 [Great People][As Vets - Inexperienced] Fee Structure- 0/10[Horrible][Get a Loan] Diagnose- 2/10[We don't know] Confidence - 0/10 [We don't know] Receptionists - 5/10 [Cracking Jokes while people are stressed out in an emergency] Specialists - None. Dog Euthanised. Vet's behaviour towards us - GREAT.[10/10] Not even a minute gets passed after euthanasia, Receptionist arrives with an EFTPOS MACHINE. That's just insane. Sorry I won't be bringing my dogs here again.
Fantastic experience: We swapped all our animals over to Bundoora after a horrible/fantastic experience having to say goodby to our boy Casper. These guys have got to be the most compassionate group of people. We unfortunately have another boy in with them at the moment, smudgy. Their bedside manner is like no other I’ve experienced. From the vet nurses to the vets, amazing. Vets are always expensive but it’s really evident that these guys don’t take you for a ride. We are so lucky to have these people here for our babies. Thanks to all the staff for their dedication and genuine care.
Fantastic experience: Bundoora vet always take great care of our cavoodle Nigel. He is always doing something and getting himself into trouble but I wouldn't choose any other vet to look after him - thank you
Fantastic experience: Had such a great experience here! The staff were so lovely and informative, especially Molly, who gave us advice to care for our kitten and even wrote us a guide. Thank you guys so much!
Fantastic experience: I was absolutely broken having lost my baby Lucy and having to make the call to ask for direction on what to do. Distraught I contacted a lovely woman early hours last Saturday to ask and she guided me advising me I can bring my baby there for a small fee and advised they recommend Eden Hills to assist with cremating however there are plenty of other providers out there I can use I don’t need to go through Eden Hills. I followed there advice as I couldn’t think and there are no words I can say to thank the two lovely woman working last Saturday. I was an absolute mess and the compassion, patience they showed me in my most vulnerable hour is indescribable. I wish you nothing but blessings for all you do for our pets. Much love and respect to the vet practice but the wonderful woman who supported me and my family I will never forget you. God bless you.
Negative experience: I recently found an injured baby bird and decided to take it to this center, trusting it would receive proper care. Upon arrival, I filled out a form and handed the bird over. However, one of the staff members outside shockingly told me, "We euthanize them." This was deeply upsetting and completely contrary to what I expected. When I expressed my concern and requested the bird back, they refused. I later spoke to other staff members, including a doctor and nurse, who assured me that the bird would be cared for and released if it recovered. Their explanation was reassuring, but the conflicting statements and the attitude of the first staff member were unprofessional and distressing. This experience left me confused and worried about the center's transparency. I believe animal welfare organizations should prioritize clarity and empathy in their communication. While I hope the bird is in good hands, I strongly recommend the center improve its staff training and public communication to prevent such incidents in the future.
Negative experience: Today I took an injured bird to Bundoora Vet, trusting them to save its life. The injury was not major, and the bird could have been saved with some care. When I handed it over, they told me they would euthanize it instead of trying to help. I begged them not to, offered to pay all the costs for its treatment, and even promised to take the bird back and care for it myself, but they coldly refused. Their lack of compassion was shocking—it’s as if they have no heart. They are supposed to save animals, not end their lives so easily. I deeply regret taking the bird there and will never trust them again. They are not human in the way they treat helpless animals.
Fantastic experience: The staff, vets and nurses here are absolutely fantastic. They were able to accomodate seeing my dog Miley immediately at 6pm on a Sunday evening. They were kind, compassionate and supportive. Can not recommend highly enough.
Fantastic experience: Amazing vet clinic with a fantastic team who has helped our senior pup through dental surgery and most recently the removal of cancer. Compassionate and caring, moneybis not the first priority but the pet. Thank you so much for all you have done for my Harper.
Negative experience: have spoken to two other vets from different clinics and they also agreed that the way they handled my dog condition was disgusting im almost certain that if I took my dog somewhere else she would have lived,. Bought in our dog as she was unwell and vomiting the vet sent us home and said to take anti nausea tablets and wait till her medication had run out and bring her back she was an 11 year old they should have know that given her age if a dog is having such symptoms most often its serious ( no other screenings were offered or blood tests in the day we bought her in) three days later following their instructions her symptoms didn’t improve we bought her back and while in hospital and under the care of the hospital she died, if they had been more carful and looked at and assessed her properly when we first bought her in then I’m sure the circumstances would be different and I would have been able to bring her home alive.
Fantastic experience: Thank you to everyone at Bundoora Vet Clinic, you've all been an incredible help when we needed you during our senior cat's last few years, especially on weekends or public holidays when our regular vet wasn't open. The vet nurses and reception staff are always so, so kind and caring, not just about the little lives they're helping, but their humans too. Such compassion and understanding has always been shown. The vets are super thorough and take the time to explain what's happening, what we're actually treating and take the time to answer questions. We did end up letting our little guy go after his last hospital stay, it was the hardest thing we've done, but right him, and I'm so glad we bought him to Bundoora when the worst happened for that hospital stay, we couldn't have asked for more caring, loving teams to be involved in his care. Thank you to you all xoxo
Negative experience: Thank you for finally responding to my complaint through Google review because I still have not heard a single word or had a phone call from back nine months ago when I first came in to complain about The negligence of your female veterinarian. Was presented to you in one single condition which was critical. All you had to do was give her proper x-rays, and once she In a stable condition which you got her to if you could not see any fractures or breaks on the first x-ray you should’ve taken a second one because she had a broken pelvis. That is how she was presented to you with a broken pelvis. Not only that her bladder could’ve burst because for the two days that she was with you nobody checked to see if she had peed and you could clearly see she hadn’t weeded because her blood was almost about to burst. Her poo was falling out of her bum, Permanently stuck due to nerve damage failed to inform me of. Your veterinarian also told me to take her home and monitor her for a week. Imagine I had of taken her home not knowing much and wanted to hurt for a week. She had a broken pelvis a bladder that 100% would’ve burst by that night or next day And you guys were trying to make her walk and was so unsure why she couldn’t . The extent of her injuries were there, the vetinarian failed to properly check over her at the time and the following two days. Her abdomen was completely bruised, which should’ve indicated a broken pelvis or broken bones. I was given the option to take her home for a week and monitor her or I could take her to some vet in Dandenong which I chose to take her to Essendon animal referral Hospital which was the best thing I had of done. If I had no money, I would’ve taken her home and she would’ve been in extreme pain and I would’ve had no idea because I’m not a vet. Money wasn’t an issue so her car should not have been neglected. I hope your investigation was thoroughly investigated and I hope that veterinarian had a good talking to and has been sent off for proper training. It shouldn’t matter if you’re an emergency veterinarian centre. Every single animal should be treated the same way and there should be a checklist that every veterinarian has to follow. Maeve was not cared for correctly and just because she “appeared visually” ok , it does not excuse a veterinarian for not carrying out their duties which is to complete an all over body exam. Bundoora vets used to be really good, But nowadays, the vets are young and inexperienced. should be senior expierenced vets on during the night and day, And there should be enough vets on at the time because you guys make enough money to put people on shift and so you should because the vets purpose is to serve the purpose of being an emergency veterinarian. If you aren’t able to cater for the high volume of animals coming in and out during the day and night you should only be an emergency veterinarian and not an emergency and normal vets during the daytime. Therefore, animals coming for an emergency will get the proper care they need. My heart broke that day, and yes I shoud have kept trying to catch her to bring her inside but all she needed was to be properly checked over and not left in a cage in pain with an inexperienced vet informing me that I should take her home and monitor her for a week. Unknown to me that she had a broken pelvis and her bladder hadn’t been expressed and that would need to be done every 12 hours, as well as a permanently open bum hole where poo kept falling out, due to nerve damage. And please never insult anyone else with a response 9 months later on google review, saying the things you did in regards to Maeve and her treatment, making out that I was aware and informed and she wasn’t presented with a broken pelvis and hadn’t been checked over properly. I often wonder if the night crew and the crew on the following day even had checked over her or just left her in cage. X Jess
Fantastic experience: Came to visit in the middle of the night after my cat had a seizure, and I’m so grateful they are there. Thank you to the vets and nurses willing to work the night shift! Excellent care and attention.
Negative experience: These guys underquoted us by over $1000. We were shocked when the actual bill arrived and had a whole heap of additional hidden costs that we were not warned about. The vet even admitted that they had made a mistake in not telling us about the hidden costs and advised we write a complain to upper management. Despite admitting it was their mistake, they did not reimburse or compensate us in any way. On top of all this, by the end of all the chaos and thousands of dollars in vet bills, their diagnosis was...."we don't know."
Fantastic experience: Took my dog for emergency visit on a Sunday at 5pm, as she was had something stuck in her throat and had trouble breathing. . She was seen immediately and was out in 5 minutes. Every member of staff was beyond kind and extremely efficient. I would recommend this practice any time!
Fantastic experience: My dog Daggers ate something toxic and got really sick and started having tremors, I rushed him to these guys - it was so stressful, but everyone here, including vets Charlie, Sophie and Melody, was so kind and great! Daggers had to stay for 2 nights but they kept him safe and kept me updated and sent him home safely today. Thanks to everyone, I really appreciate your support
Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about the receptionist at this vet clinic! I had booked a standard appointment for my cat, but after reading the note I left, she called me right away, recognizing the urgency of the situation. Her quick thinking and care truly saved my cat’s life. From start to finish, she was kind, professional, and attentive, making a stressful situation much easier. I’m so grateful to have found a clinic with such dedicated staff. Highly recommend!”
Fantastic experience: So impressed with Bundoora Vet. Our 9yo Labradoodle is always happy to go in, and is happy to see all the staff. She has been well taken care of by these kind and professional people.
Fantastic experience: A week ago a small Staffordshire terrier wandered into my place scared of the lightning and thunder. I tried to get someone to take care of her and find the owner, Bundoora Vet went above and beyond to find the owner and informed them that they have their dog, owners were very grateful.
Fantastic experience: We can't thank the staff and vet nurses at the Emergency Care enough. After getting our poor Zoe her 3rd vaccine at another clinic and started getting puffy eyes and unwell they helped us to remain incredibly calm
Fantastic experience: We had an emergency call in with our beloved puppa. Words cannot begin to explain just how helpful this practice was. We were informed, kept up to date at every possible situation. The kindness and understanding from everyone we dealt with I couldn’t be more thankful for. The vet here I couldn’t speak more higher of if I tried, they are modern day hero’s
Negative experience: This review is in regard to one brunette receptionist at this clinic who felt it was appropriate on the evening of 27/8/24 (last night) to cackle at the top of her lungs to her colleague whilst my mum and I were sobbing in the waiting room before our dog’s end of life procedure. She knew ahead of time what we were there for as we had called up earlier for advice and it was incredibly insensitive and jarring. Families experience a world of grief when losing a beloved family member and a little bit of compassion goes a long way. Staff do not need to be crying with us but high pitched laughter is not something that should be taking place when customers are in distress. Just a word of advice. The vet was lovely though and very caring as we laid our beautiful Frenchie to rest.
Fantastic experience: Myself and my dog attended the after hours clinic on Sat 24th Aug after my dog was collapsing at home. I called the clinic to let them know I was on my way and the lady on the phone was so lovely, and supportive and told me to come down. On arrival the security guard opened the door with a smile. The clinic was quite busy, but myself and my dog had been made to feel comfortable from arrival. The Vet Nurse on the counter was such a lovely lady and so was the vet who went out of her way to get myself a chair. The vet we ended up seeing was also a lovely man who explained every possible situation that could have caused my dog to be unwell. My dog was essentially back to normal by the time of arrival to the clinic, but we still got to see the vet just to ensure nothing would be missed. Seeing you pets (babies) in pain is such a traumatic situation and everyone at that clinic was fantastic and it really made a stressful, emotional situation a lot easier. Also a big shout-out to the security guard on shift who was the most helpful security guard I have ever seen!
