Fantastic experience: Would just like to say that I bought my 19 year old chihuahua Buddy to be put to sleep, I have never met a vet that was so compassionate and caring (genuinely) I can not recommend this practice enough. Thank you to the male vet ( sorry I forgot your name) but you are a truly compassionate young man and at such a hard time in a pet owners saddest moment you show real empathy and I thank you for that.

Fantastic experience: Woke up this morning with a very sick dog, with our regular vet out of town i rang around every vet in ballarat with no luck, was recommended here by another vet clinic, we rang and were able to get an appointment pretty much right away and drove out all the way from creswick, Dr Amos was so lovely and professional, my poor doggy was calm and relaxed for the whole appointment! I am so grateful for the reception team’s help in getting the appointment as well. we will definitely be coming back! couldn’t recommend Fur life enough.

Best mates program worth the money if your looking to spay your dog and need routine care. More for my money than I would get from pet insurance. Only 15mins out of Ballarat worth the trip.

Fantastic experience: Like to say thank you to Fur Life Vet Smythesdale the way they dealt for my for baby Czar passing away. They were absolutely fantastic and was so caring and even sent me a card, and always keeping in touch and made the whole process so much easier. I was in total mess, but the doctors and nurses for the week coming was absolutely amazing and so supportive. Would recommend them to anyone. I use to go to Eureka Vets on Creswick road for ages, but the service I have been getting there was absolutely disgusting. But I would highly recommend this vet to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Big shout out of thanks goes out to this vet service for helping me out on Friday when l was desperate to have my dog seen by a vet as an emergency. I had rang several vets in town and none of them would see us even though l explained the desperate need to be seen by a vet as she was on the way to crossing over the pet bridge. We saw Amos and his caring and gentle manner was beautiful in assisting me to make the decision to let her go and be at peace. It was a big decision but Amos’s professional approach made it so much easier for me to make. My Bella had been with me for 16 years, she maybe gone but she is in my heart forever.

Negative experience: !! Do not take your pet to this vet !! I have been a client of the vet practice for 5 years. They use to be the best vet ever. I have taken care of two of my pets in the past BUT NOW .... It was sold Aug 2021 and the new owners have sacked the old staff and employed their own (furr life franchise) The new staff are rude, they conduct their 'Vet work' out of sight of the pet owners, even if you ask to remain with your pet They are Rude, over priced,uncaring and unprofessional !! Do not take your pet there EVEN in a Life Or Dearth situation !!

Negative experience: Another error in microchip from a student that could have been easily corrected with the right attitude and a more genuine approach. Passive aggressive tone, total defensive and disrespectful woman and refusal to assist in something so very simple! It took more headache than it was worth to finally receive what should have been done to begin with. I will never return here with any of my animals!

Positive experience: After a slight misunderstanding, the vets came through for us and were there at the end for our beloved goat. The vets have always been kind and caring when dealing with our animals and have been extremely informative and helpful with advice for us humans!

Fantastic experience: I have 6 pets that I take here for check ups and other issues including surgeries and the staff have always been friendly and welcoming to my pets and willing to answer my long list of questions. Claire has been a great vet to all of them and genuinely cares about the pets and all my concerns. All surgeries have been a success without a single issue. When it was time to send my old dog to the rainbow bridge they came out to the house and made it as comfortable and stress free for my dog to pass at home surrounded by family. I would recommend the Vet practice to anyone and everyone.
