Fantastic experience: I really appreciate the great care Dr Bethany and the team have taken with my two dogs over the years. They always give very honest, caring advice and don’t mind recommending that you get certain specific treatments elsewhere if that is what is best for your dog. Our beagle needs a very complex surgery, and we appreciated the willingness of the practice to support us as we visited a specialist centre. Our dog is also very anxious and has gotten very distressed at vets in the past, but the team are so caring, he lets them treat him with no issues now.

My little boy Sprite recently had to have his eye removed, and as you can imagine, it was such a stressful and emotional time for us. From the very beginning, they were incredibly kind, compassionate, and reassuring. They handled Sprite with so much love and care — it was obvious they genuinely care about their patients as if they were their own. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable with the process. The surgery was done beautifully, and Sprite is recovering so well. I’m honestly amazed at how smoothly everything has gone. Seeing him bounce back the way he has is a true testament to their skill and dedication. Thank you, Dr Hannah and Dr Bethany, for taking such wonderful care of my little boy. We are beyond grateful.

Fantastic experience: The Vets are very lovely, and very patient with my Greyhound (he hates going to the Vet). They are always ready to give us a muzzle if needed, and always very helpful if i need to be in the room for certain procedures (if you have a greyhound you know). I will continue to take my dog to this vet even though it takes an hour to drive there, and then another 15 minutes getting my dog out of the car.

Fantastic experience: Dr Hannah was great with my cat Muffin, very thorough and gave a great tip about putting his antibiotic paste on his paw for him to lick off! He’s not great with taking oral antibiotics so this has been excellent.

She has an amazing 'bed side' manner. I have been to Dr Paws at the very worst of times when our little fur baby died and we were treated so extremely well with so much empathy and respect. Very very thoughtful treatment so grateful. I won't go anywhere else even though they are over30 minutes away.

Initially had called over the phone and they were so accommodating and helpful, gave me a very positive feeling about this vet. Then to come into the clinic, the receptionist were super welcoming and friendly. My dog is a very anxious/nervous dog so I was very scared to see how he’ll be but Dr Natasha was super patient with him, on top of that I was drowning her in questions and she was super happy to help and I did not feel at all rushed to get out after the appointment! Fantastic experience: I had been meaning to find a vet closer to home, but hadn’t gotten around to it and then one of our pups hurt her foot so I had to find something sooner rather than later. I am so incredibly glad I came across Dr Paws! They were so friendly, accommodating and caring. I used to hike across the bridge to see my old vet because I couldn’t find a local clinic I liked. I am happy to say I now have a fantastic vet way closer to home and is brilliant in every way you could want. My precious fur babies are in good hands!

Fantastic experience: Teddy has found his doctor for life in Dr. Beth... She is very knowledgeable, thorough, friendly and caring. Went here for his 3rd puppy vaccination and being the first visit the insurance paperwork took a bit longer and the staff kindly stayed past 7pm until the confirmation came through. Very thankful, friendly and the whole experience was very positive. They also have a range of in-house insurance plans which we will probably switch to at some point...

Fantastic experience: Today at Dr Paws we saw vet Dr. Elicia , she is a great vet . She really took her time with my Simba. My dog is a very nervous animal. But the visit went well. I would happily recommend this vets practice and often have in the past. The reception staff are great as well.

Negative experience: This vet is very NOT professional. I’ve been visiting this vet since 10 months ago, and have spent at least $2,500 over on medical bills for my puppy on allergies and sensitive gut. It’s ridiculous my 4 recent visits over the past 2 weeks, due to puppy’s allergic reaction, whilst they have charge for xray, blood tests and biopsy which was acceptable, they charge me on separate accounts for additional standard consultations. This not withstanding the previous few consultation in addition to the recent ones on the related issue. I’ve lost track the number of times I have to pay for standard consultations. In the last consultation, which was 2 days ago, the vet has determined that my puppy may be developing rashes from allergies. I called the vet today as I spotted rashes if they can prescribe topical cream. Their response was they can’t prescribe any topical cream despite it was already noted in the visit with Dr Elicia that Hammy may develop rashes! They insisted I can do home remedy or I can make (pay) for another consultation even if it is a quick conversation with the vet as a follow up on the visit 2 days ago! I even asked if they could check with Dr Elicia when she returns on weekend, and they told the vet is busy and may not have time even if it’s just a quick confirmation. How irresponsible is this, especially given we’ve been visiting the vet over the past weeks and the issue is still unresolved and now they are just turning us away, and not even have the courtesy to address the concern without asking for more money to come in for another 5-10 mins consultation and to pay for $99 (again!) I would definitely not recommend going to this vet. While I’ve been paying for the countless visits over the 10 months, this vet is ridiculously greedy and unprofessional. Despite my concern, the nurse (Jasmine) was reluctant to put me on the phone with the vet and said that would be additional fees for consultation. This is absurd. I’ve asked for Dr Bethany to return my call to discuss this. If they do not resolve this satisfactory, I will be further escalating the matter.

Fantastic experience: Our go to vets for our two cats. We have been to see them for a variety of things from check ups to emergencies. They are always calm, caring and treat your pets like their own. They never charge you unnecessarily and are very transparent with fees. We don't live locally but we will always go to these vets and nurses. Couldn't recommend them more!

Fantastic experience: Worth travelling from Geelong to be sooooo well greated and treated. All smiles from everyone, starting with Natasha at reception. Nothing too hard. I loved that Dr Alicia talked affectionately to Pearl, patted her and understood her needs. Very special. We'll keep making that trip along the highway for sure.

The vet made sure to go through financial details (broke down the cost) with me as well to make sure I was ok with the price of the care (that's never happened to me at any other vet). Vet had a really good look at my kitten and was really thorough. I felt like they are really caring towards animals!!

Fantastic experience: Cannot thank the Altona North Dr Paws team enough for the wonderful care my poor dog received yesterday. Bob got caught in some wire at the beach and got really bad grazes & cuts on both back legs AND his private bits - so sore. Lovely receptionist fitted him in immediately and nurses instantly very gently cleaned his wounds and put on a soothing cream all with lots of reassuring pats & cuddles. After a very short wait (even tho I could see they were super busy) the vets could look at him and get what Bob needed to stop infection & help his pain & healing. Bob is doing ok today, a bit sad and sore but I can’t bear to think how bad he would be if he hadn’t got the best care in the world from this wonderful vets. Thank you sooo much. Never going to any other vet again.

We brought our cat in on 30/11/24 for an assessment, and he was quickly and well looked after by Dr Ros. We were quite anxious as his health issue was causing him pain. Dr Ros was so helpful and non-judgemental; she immediately put us at ease with how competent and experienced she was. Fantastic experience: We have been going to Dr Paws Altona North for the past 8 years and they have been absolutely amazing. From my beloved fur babies dental problems to their annual vaccinations and check ups they were thorough and efficient. I have lost one of my little fur babies Mikhu 2 days ago after been 12 years together, they have booked us in to check up on Oscar right away, gave me tips and prescribed him some medication to help with the grieving process and separation anxiety. They also showed so much care for me and my family, as this is a very difficult time for us. We couldn’t recommend Dr Paws team enough. Fantastic experience: The reception here was lovely towards both me and my cat. The waiting room had plenty of seats and space, which was perfect for a timid cat in his carrier, especially when there’s other pets. The veterinarian we saw was very professional and patient. She didn’t rush my cat to come out of his carrier, and she was very gentle while inspecting him. She used a calm and reassuring tone when talking to him- and she informed me of everything she was going to do before she did it. The pricing for the appointment wasn’t too high- especially compared to a lot of clinics of the same quality. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: I bought my two babies Luna and Murphy in after needing a second opinion. Murphy been so unwell i needed to get a different prospective on everything. I now have made this my babies new drs. Dr Elica was so lovely and thoroughly went through everything with me. I left feeling so much better and both cats are eating and i can not thank the team enough. Everyone was so lovely. Thank you team We have a new Vet clinic after today's visit. 5 stars

Fantastic experience: The team at Dr Paws Altona North, both nurses and vets, are truly amazing. The care and love they give to every pet that walks through their doors is phenomenal. My girl Billie is always so happy to come in and has to say hi to everyone. Thank you team!
